Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1620: The Wheel Of Destiny Turns

Grand Sect Alliance, Pure Moon Wing:

The Grand Sect Alliance divided its factions into numerous wings, where the different sects resided. Pure Moon Wing was an area in which an enormous artifact moon was created for the disciples of the Yin Moon Palace to live in. Today, the ancestor and founder of the palace, the Yin Moon Paragon, held a secret meeting.

”Do you know why I called all of you here?” The Yin Moon Paragon asked. She was an ordinary-looking middle-aged woman, dressed in all white, with blue hair. She looked peaceful and gave people a warm, nurturing feeling, but only those who knew understood that this was a facade; this woman was an erupting volcano when she became too excited.

Two women stood opposite her: Su Ya and Luo Nuying. All three women in this room had one thing in common: The Seven Emotion Six Desire Physique. Their cultivation also fit in succession with Su Ya, who was at the peak of the Great Emperor Realm, Luo Nuying was preparing for her Immemorial Tribulation, and the Yin Moon Paragon was a Peak Paragon.

”Ancestor, we don’t know,” Luo Nuoying said, her voice soft with a bit of an intimidating boom. Unlike most people with her physique, who were thin and naturally charming, Luo Nuying is what Earthlings would describe as a War Goddess. She was nearly seven feet tall, with long legs, extremely fit, and well-endowed in both the upper and lower areas, which was apparent in her black armor that perfectly fit her figure. Her stern face was both alluring and intimidating, and that duality was further accented by her long and flowing red hair.

Su Ya — who had recently been in the mood for green hair — remained quiet, but she also displayed her confusion with a facial expression. The Yin Moon Paragon did not beat around the bush and got directly to the point: ”Things are not looking too good for the association, and I need to start looking for a way out for our palace.”

Su Ya and Luo Nuying glanced at each other, and their eyes communicated one thing: ”That was quick.” It hasn’t been an hour since the Saint dismissed everybody, but the collapse of the association has started. However, after what they experienced and what was revealed, they were not surprised it happened — just that it happened so swiftly.

”Ancestor, what do you need us to do?” Su Ya asked.

”I’ve brought these unique Void Breaking Talisman from the exchange list,” Yin Moon Paragon said. ”They will not only take you away, but also send you to a place where your destiny can shine. I need you to leave and only return after I contact you. Understand?”

”The war?” Luo Nuying asked.

”No need to worry about it.”

”But —”

”If you truly want to make a difference, become stronger and return,” Yin Moon said.

”I see.”

”What about the Emotion-Desire Book?” Su Ya asked with a hint of suspicion.

”You’ve always been clever, which is what I appreciate about you,” Yin Moon smiled. ”Take it with you.”

”This,” Luo Nuying muttered. Just like any sect, the Yin Moon Palace had its own factions. The most powerful was the Ancestor Branch, even though the Yin Moon Paragon was merely a pseudo Eternal. The reason was the Emotion-Desire Books. The books are crucial to the lineage, and the only reason Luo Nuying and Su Ya held their positions was that they were the original writers. But according to the sect rules, they cannot pass it on to someone else, and if they were to die, the palace has the right to retrieve it and have someone else finish what they started. Yet, the ancestor allowed them to leave with such a crucial artifact.

”Take the book and finish what you started, understand?”

”Yes, Ancestor.”

”Yes, Ancestor.”

”Good,” Yin Moon nodded before handing them the talismans. She calmly watched them disappear, then breathed a sigh of relief. Fate manifests in strange ways. Years ago, after the second Emperor appeared in the Yin Moon Palace, an idea suddenly occurred to her, and she instructed the palace to continue recruiting people with her physique.

Then, after she became a Paragon and started to build a faction in the upper dimension, Yin Moon searched for more women. So far, eighteen women of the Seven Emotions Six Desires Physique have created their book and finished it by reaching the peak of the Paragon. Eleven are from the upper dimension and seven from the lower dimension.

Yin Moon had a feeling something magical would happen once Thirteen Women — both from the upper and lower dimension — finished their books. Maybe this will be her transcendent path. She doesn’t know, but the possibility is enough to risk everything.

’The next step is to find the remaining physiques,’ Yin Moon thought. Normally, this would be difficult. After all, this was a Heavenly Physique only found in the lower dimension. Yin Moon spent a considerable amount of time and effort sending projections into the lower dimension to recruit these talents, which ultimately led to her strained relationship with Heavenly Dao. However, things don’t have to be this difficult.

With the exchange list, there are better ways to track when these physiques will be born. Better yet, she may even find a way to ask Heavenly Dao to birth these physiques for her. The only limit was the amount of merit she needed.

While in deep thought, a talisman flew into her Yin Moon’s palm: Dugu Baitian had summoned her. She sneered. This bastard has recently been eying their palace’s book, which is one of the primary reasons she sent Luo Nuying and Su Ya away. Unlike the previous owners of the book, who are either dead or strong enough to protect the artifact, these two are a liability.

Moreover, the true value of the books lies in their fusion. With two missing, it’s impossible to access the content and power. Of course, this also means Yin Moon had lost one of her greatest reliances, but she accepted the risk in exchange for a better future.

’Right now, his power is at its weakest, so he won’t lash out or directly punish me, but I’ll definitely be recruited and placed on the frontline,’ Yin Moon analyzed. Such an outcome was also alright. She needed enough merit to finally enter the Eternal Path and for the remaining six physiques.

...

Su Ya took a moment to shake off the sensation of navigating through the void before entering a state of high alert. Everything around looked and felt normal except for the fact that the sky was green instead of blue. She did not spread her divine sense in case she accidentally peeked at a powerhouse and offended them.

However, her vision detected a cloud of emotions not far away, indicating a significant number of people had gathered. Su Ya activated her enhanced hearing.

”Do you think we will pass?”

”Do you think anyone can meet the requirements to join the Ji Clan?”

”...If you don’t have any confidence, why are you here?”

”I’m just hoping I have some super rare hidden powers that catch their attention.”

”You have a vivid imagination.”

”What? A man can’t dream?”

Su Ya frowned. Her mentors once mentioned the Ji Clan, claiming they had reached the pinnacle in the Emotion-Desire Dao. ’Should I join?’ she thought before weighing the pros and cons for a few seconds. ’The Ji Clan is a family faction, so I won’t have much upward mobility unless I marry into their clan. However, there should be more room to breathe in the Desire Heart Palace.’

She chose to join. The benefit of a powerful background was immense, even if it meant more rules and restraint. Su Ya’s process of joining was rather swift. As soon as she joined the line, someone detected her physique and approached. A few tests later, she was immediately taken to the clan’s headquarters through a Transmission Array.

However, little did Su Ya know that her arrival shook the entire Ji Clan. As soon as she landed, the clan’s destiny was in turmoil, alerting numerous Saints.

”What catastrophe can this little girl bring us?”

”I don’t know. My divination has only revealed blanks. Glasses?”

”How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that?”

”I’ll stop when you stop wearing that ridiculous thing. It’s absurd that a Saint is wearing a vision-assisting device.”

”People do all types of things for aesthetics. Why do you draw the line at glasses?”

”I just do.”

”Focus, guys. Glasses, any information?”

”You!”

”Well?”

”Fine. I just broke through a lock protecting her information. Her mortal enemy is someone called Lin Fan, and he’s connected to the Chaos Demon Gods.”

”Related? How?”

”He’s the one who released them.”

”I see. But how does that relate to us? We have never offended them, and I don’t think they would help the one called Lin Fan attack our clan, right?”

”It looks like he’s just a pawn, but I don’t know.”

”So, what do we do? Do we accept this girl or do we eliminate her?”
