Divine Level Witch Doctor

”Damn it!”

Ye Feng watched their retreating figures, slammed the roses in his hand onto the ground, and stomped on them a few times. Then, he waved over one of his lackeys. His face was dark as he asked, ”Who’s that kid with Lin Xue?”

Although Zhao Yuan had been a hot topic on the school forums lately, Ye Feng rarely checked them, so he didn’t recognize him.

His lackey, however, did recognize Zhao Yuan. He immediately answered, ”That kid’s name is Zhao Yuan. He’s in the Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine.”

”Zhao Yuan?” Ye Feng muttered the name a few times before asking, ”What’s his background?”

”They say he’s just some poor loser from a remote mountain village. No backing,” the lackey replied, having clearly looked into Zhao Yuan’s background.

Ye Feng’s expression grew even darker. He scoffed, ”A poor loser dares to steal my woman?”

”Brother Feng, should I get some guys to beat him up?” the lackey schemed.

”No need.” Ye Feng waved his hand dismissively. ”What’s the point of just beating him up? It might even stir up Lin Xue’s maternal instincts, making their bond grow warmer and stronger. I’m not doing something so stupid and thankless!”

”Er...” The lackey’s expression soured. ’Is this bastard calling me stupid?’ he thought. But no matter how pissed he was, he didn’t dare show it. He could only curse him out in his head. Out loud, he said, ”So we’re just going to let it go?”

Ye Feng said with a savage grin, ”Let it go? Not a chance! He dared to steal my woman? I’ll be sure to teach him a lesson he’ll never forget!”

”What’s your plan, Brother Feng?” the lackey asked curiously.

”He wants to fight me for a woman? Fine, I’ll play his little game! I’m going to steal Lin Xue right from under his nose! I’ll make him understand that a poor loser will always be a poor loser. A toad lusting after a swan’s flesh? Impossible!”

Ye Feng was full of confidence as he said this, as if defeating Zhao Yuan and winning over Lin Xue would be a piece of cake. After all, he’d done plenty of things like stealing other people’s girlfriends before. And with his ”tall, rich, and handsome” status, his success rate was extremely high.

”Brother Feng’s plan is brilliant! Snatching Lin Xue right in front of him will definitely be a huge blow! It’s a psychological attack, way better than me just getting someone to beat him up!” the lackey immediately started sucking up.

Ye Feng smirked smugly. ”I’m doing this for his own good, to make him realize how dark society really is sooner rather than later.”

”Brother Feng, you’re so benevolent!” The lackey’s ass-kissing was so fake it was sickening.

Zhao Yuan and Lin Xue were oblivious to what happened after they left.

The two of them left campus and went to a nearby home-style restaurant they often frequented.

While they were eating, Lin Xue said, ”I contacted a classmate from the art academy. After we finish eating, we’ll go find her and borrow their school’s dance studio. Hey, Zhao Yuan, what kind of dance are you having me do, anyway? You didn’t actually choreograph it yourself, did you?”

”I really did choreograph it myself,” Zhao Yuan said shamelessly.

He hadn’t wanted to take the credit, but on second thought, no one would believe him if he said a fairy had choreographed the dance. It might even cause unnecessary trouble. So, he had no choice but to be shameless this once. Besides, if the dance really took off, as its choreographer, he would surely be admired by countless dancers. That would be another wave of Wish Power!

”So what kind of dance is it? It’s not actually a plaza dance, is it?” Lin Xue asked curiously.

Zhao Yuan smiled. ”It’s hard to explain in just a few words. When we get to the dance studio, I’ll perform it for you once, and you’ll see. Don’t worry, this dance will absolutely stun everyone! It might even shock and mesmerize the entire dance world!”

Lin Xue didn’t believe him, assuming he was just bragging.

Zhao Yuan didn’t explain further and changed the subject. ”By the way, can you help me find a Guqin teacher? My plan is for you to dance while I play the instrument. I have the dance choreography and the Piano Score, but I don’t know how to play the Guqin. Of course, I’m not asking for free lessons. I’ll pay a fee.”

”That shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll ask my classmate at the art academy to help find an upperclassman who studies the Guqin to teach you.” Lin Xue put down her chopsticks, picked up her phone, and quickly sent a text. A moment later, her phone chimed, DING-DONG. She glanced at the message and said, ”All set. My classmate said she’ll find someone to come teach you when we go to the studio to practice.”

”Thank her for me,” Zhao Yuan said happily.

”Is a simple ’thank you’ enough? Aren’t you going to treat her to a meal or something? Let me tell you, this friend of mine is a real beauty,” Lin Xue teased.

”Of course I’ll treat her to a meal!” Zhao Yuan said without hesitation. He then remembered how she had teased him earlier, glanced at Lin Xue, and chuckled, deciding to give her a taste of her own medicine. ”Why do I feel like I smell a hint of jealousy?”

Lin Xue’s pretty face flushed red.

Just then, the owner of the restaurant came over with a plate of stir-fried cabbage with vinegar and jumped into the conversation. ”You’ve got a sharp nose, young man! I haven’t even brought the dish over, and you can already smell the vinegar! Don’t let my small shop fool you, I use authentic ingredients. This vinegar, for example, is authentic Shanxi Old Chen vinegar. That’s why you can smell it from so far away...”

This sudden ”Cheng Yaojin” popping out of nowhere stunned both Zhao Yuan and Lin Xue for a moment. Then, they couldn’t help but burst into laughter. The restaurant owner was completely baffled by their laughter and kept saying, ”What are you two laughing at? I’m telling the truth, I’m not exaggerating at all...”

His explanation, far from stopping their laughter, only made them laugh even harder.

After they had their laugh, Lin Xue said, ”By the way, are you free next Friday? I want to treat you to a meal. And bring your dorm brothers along, too.”

Zhao Yuan nodded. ”For something like a free meal, I’ll make time even if I’m busy. As the saying goes, if you’re not enthusiastic about eating, there’s something wrong with your head! But why are you treating us? Is it for something special?”

”It’s my birthday,” Lin Xue replied.

”Really? Then I’ll have to prepare a really good birthday present for you.” Zhao Yuan put down his chopsticks and began to think seriously. ’What kind of gift would be perfect for Lin Xue?’

After their meal, the two headed straight for the nearby art academy. On the way, Lin Xue called her classmate to ask for the specific address. Soon, they arrived at a dance studio in one of the academic buildings. Lin Xue’s classmate had already been waiting for them for quite some time.

Just as Lin Xue had said, she was a great beauty who would score a ninety out of a hundred for both her looks and her figure. Her S-shaped curves, in particular, were enough to charm a whole crowd of men.

”Let me introduce you.”

Lin Xue started with the beauty. ”This is my high school classmate and best friend, Chen Jiao. Don’t be fooled by the fact that she’s only a freshman; she’s been studying dance since she was little, and she’s incredibly skilled! She’s now a disciple of the dance master Zhang Liping!”

”That’s amazing!” Zhao Yuan exclaimed in admiration.

Although he didn’t know much about dance, he had heard of Zhang Liping. She was a world-renowned dance artist, a formidable figure who received a special allowance from the State Council, and had won countless international awards! For Chen Jiao to become her disciple was a testament to her immense talent and skill!
