Divine Level Witch Doctor

After logging into the West Hua Medical University forums, Zhao Yuan clicked on the medical section. He quickly found a subsection titled ”Ancient and Modern, Chinese and Foreign Medical Classics” and clicked to enter.

This subsection really lived up to its name.

It had everything from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western medicine, from ancient times to the present day, be it complete or incomplete classics, academic papers, or professional journals. The moderators had even categorized everything meticulously. By simply clicking a few options at the top of the forum, one could filter through the vast sea of posts to find different types of books.

Zhao Yuan clicked the two filter options at the top of the forum: ”Incomplete” and ”Traditional Chinese Medicine.” The forum refreshed immediately. All the Western medical books and complete volumes vanished, leaving only incomplete ancient texts on Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Among these ancient texts on Traditional Chinese Medicine, some were missing sections, some only had an outline remaining, and others were nothing but a title. But no matter what kind of incomplete book it was, as soon as Zhao Yuan opened the post and saw the title, the book would immediately appear in the medical section of his Information Leaf. And, just as Zhao Yuan had expected, it was the complete version!

’”Medical Golden Classics”? ”Shennong’s Materia Medica”? Aren’t these medical books from the Qianlong Era? Incomplete, are they? No problem. Once they’re on my Information Leaf, they’ll be whole!’

’Wait, what’s this? The ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor”? Holy shit, this book actually exists? I thought it was just a legend made up by later generations! Damn, this Information Leaf really lives up to its name as Wu Peng’s legacy. It’s incredible! It can even instantly produce the complete version of a medical book that’s nothing more than a title!’

’Hua Tuo’s ”Qingnang Book” from the Late Eastern Han Dynasty? Only the last few pages about castrating chickens and pigs survived, and the rest was burned—a huge loss for Traditional Chinese Medicine? No problem. The complete version of this book also appeared in the Information Leaf, with not a single word missing!’

Basically, every time Zhao Yuan opened a post, a medical book or a prescription would appear on the Information Leaf.

And without exception, they were all the complete, fully restored texts!

Eventually, he had ”farmed” so many medical books and prescriptions this way that a ”Classics” subsection automatically appeared under the medical section of the Information Leaf. All the medical books and prescriptions he had mass-”farmed” using this near-cheat method were stored there.

Constantly opening and closing posts was undoubtedly a tedious affair, but Zhao Yuan savored every moment. Through this method, he was obtaining a vast number of medical books. Many of them were precious classics with immense research and historical value. If any of them were made public, the entire field of Traditional Chinese Medicine would erupt in a frenzy.

Over an hour later, Zhao Yuan had opened every single post related to incomplete Traditional Chinese Medicine books in the ”Ancient and Modern, Chinese and Foreign Medical Classics” subsection. One by one, every medical classic mentioned in those posts, whether famous or obscure, appeared in its complete form on his Information Leaf.

’That’s all?’

Closing the last post, Zhao Yuan was still left wanting more. But when he looked at the densely packed collection of medical books in the ”Classics” subsection of his Information Leaf, his excitement surged once more.

’The ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor,” the ”Qingnang Book”... These are legendary lost medical texts, famous for centuries! I have to take a good look and see what they actually contain!’

Filled with curiosity, Zhao Yuan opened the ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor” on the Information Leaf.

The ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor” consisted of thirty-seven volumes. It was the external counterpart to the eighteen-volume ”Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor.” Their contents were complementary, and together they formed a complete system of Traditional Chinese Medical Theory.

By now, Zhao Yuan had already mastered the Basic Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine that Wu Peng had left behind, so reading the ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor” wasn’t difficult. Moreover, as he read, commentaries and annotations floated above the pages. These were all content left by Wu Peng. They not only helped Zhao Yuan better understand this incredible book of Traditional Chinese Medicine but also gave him a profoundly deep understanding of it.

Zhao Yuan read, completely entranced.

Time flew by as he was engrossed.

By the time the sky began to lighten, Zhao Yuan had finally finished a cursory read-through of the ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor.” Thoroughly studying and mastering it, however, would take a great deal more time.

’I never would have imagined... It turns out many of the shortcomings and ambiguities in the ”Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor” are supplemented and explained in the ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor.” The two books together form a complete theoretical system. The great physicians throughout history were right. The loss of the ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor” truly was a great tragedy in the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine!’

Zhao Yuan opened his eyes, sighing with emotion.

Suddenly, a thought popped into his head.

’Should I release the ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor” to the public?’

’This medical text has been lost for millennia and is a foundational classic of the medical arts! Releasing it to the public would undoubtedly spur huge advancements in the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The field of Traditional Chinese Medical Theory, in particular, would take a monumental leap forward! And I... I would surely be remembered and feel the gratitude of everyone in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Based on my previous theory, gratitude and admiration can both generate Wish Power. So this course of action would not only benefit the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine, but it would also benefit my own growth!’

At this thought, Zhao Yuan made up his mind to release the ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor.” Moreover, if he received enough Wish Power this time, he would continue to release other complete medical classics in the future.

Zhao Yuan had originally intended to post it from his phone, but typing on a phone was too slow. Left with no choice, he had to climb out of bed and borrow Wu Yan’s laptop.

’Looks like I’ll have to buy a computer. I can’t keep borrowing someone else’s all the time.’

Mumbling to himself, Zhao Yuan opened a document and quickly typed out the contents of the ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor.” He wasn’t a fast typist, so it took him well over an hour to input the entire ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor.” Afterward, he opened the university forums and logged into his account, ”The Man Who Wants to Be a Witch Doctor.” He created a new thread directly in the medical section, pasted the contents of the ”Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor” into it, and then clicked ”Post.”

”Done!” Zhao Yuan stretched his wrists and neck, deleted the document, and shut down the computer.

By the time he finished all this, it was already 7:20 in the morning. But his three dorm brothers were still fast asleep.

”Get up, everyone get up! If you don’t get up now, you’ll be late!” Zhao Yuan woke them up one by one and asked with a smile, ”How do you feel after a night’s sleep?”

”Huh?” Liu Zhu was the first to wake up. After checking how his body felt, he exclaimed in surprise, ”After practicing last night, my whole body was incredibly sore. I thought today would be agony, but I never expected that after a night’s sleep, not only is the soreness gone, but I feel like I’m full of energy!”

”Me too!” Wang Rongfeng cried out joyfully.

”That square dancing... ah, no, the Four Saints Technique really works!” Wu Yan also shouted, ecstatic.

Immediately, the three of them looked at Zhao Yuan and declared in unison, ”I want more tonight!”
