Divine Level Witch Doctor

Kobayashi Haruo hadn’t even responded yet, but the live stream chat was already in an uproar.

”Has the Great God lost his mind? Kobayashi Haruo already made it clear he won’t donate. How could his words possibly work?”

”I just checked an East Japan search engine. Kobayashi Haruo owns several private hospitals in East Japan and is the personal physician to many high-ranking officials and wealthy business people. He’s incredibly rich. If he actually donates his entire life savings like the Great God said, now *that* would be weird!”

”Without a doubt, Kobayashi Haruo is going to ignore the Great God’s command!”

Although no one in the crowd said a word, it was clear from their expressions that their thoughts mirrored the comments in the live stream chat.

No one believed Zhao Yuan’s command would work. No one believed Kobayashi Haruo would donate the money.

However, what happened next was something no one could have predicted.

After hearing Zhao Yuan’s command, Kobayashi Haruo didn’t get angry or argue. Instead, he reached into his pocket and took out his phone.

’What’s he doing with his phone? Is he going to call the police and accuse the Great God of extortion?’ The same thought popped into everyone’s mind. Many members of the Jing City Acupuncture Association secretly resolved that if the police actually showed up, they would testify for Zhao Yuan no matter what, ensuring their great benefactor didn’t suffer the slightest injustice!

But Kobayashi Haruo didn’t make a call. Instead, he opened an app and started fiddling with it.

”What is that guy doing?”

Everyone was extremely curious about Kobayashi Haruo’s strange behavior and crowded closer. The reporters and the two live stream hosts immediately aimed their cameras, video cameras, and phones at Kobayashi Haruo’s screen.

Soon, everyone could clearly see what Kobayashi Haruo was doing.

The first gasps of surprise came from the viewers in the East Japan live stream. Because the app Kobayashi Haruo had opened was the Japanese version, many people in the Chinese live stream and at the scene couldn’t understand it.

”Isn’t that an online banking app?”

”Why did Kobayashi Haruo open his banking app? Is he actually going to donate?”

”No way, right? Just a second ago, he swore he would never donate. He can’t be going back on his word and making a fool of himself this quickly, can he?”

While the viewers from East Japan were buzzing with discussion, the people in the Chinese live stream and at the scene also figured out what the app was for, and they too erupted in the same gasps of surprise and questioning.

Under everyone’s astonished gazes, Kobayashi Haruo opened his savings account. A long string of numbers appeared, dazzling everyone’s eyes.

”My God, how much money is that? I’ve never seen so much money in my entire life!”

”Ones, tens, hundreds, thousands... Forget it, I can’t even count it all. My eyes are blurring!”

”Even in yen, that’s a terrifying amount of money! What is Kobayashi Haruo doing? He’s not really going to donate it, is he?”

Amidst everyone’s shock, Kobayashi Haruo opened the transfer function. But at that exact moment, the Enchanting Talisman’s effect wore off. Kobayashi Haruo’s will suddenly returned to him. He stared at the open banking app and the transfer page, feeling utterly bewildered.

’When did I take out my phone? And open my banking app?’

He didn’t dwell on it and subconsciously moved to close the app, muttering, ”I’m not donating any money. You can just forget about it!”

The moment the words left his mouth, Zhao Yuan activated a second Enchanting Talisman.

Kobayashi Haruo’s gaze went vacant again. Not only did he stop trying to close the banking app, but he also went to the transfer amount field and typed in his entire life savings.

The contrast between his words and his actions left everyone utterly confused.

”What the hell is Kobayashi Haruo doing?”

”He’s opened the transfer page and entered the amount, so why is he still yelling about not donating?”

”Is he just pretending he’s going to transfer the money to mess with the Great God?”

Confusion filled everyone’s mind.

After entering the amount, Kobayashi Haruo stopped again. This time, it wasn’t because the Enchanting Talisman had worn off, but because he didn’t know the account number for Project Hope’s donations.

Zhao Yuan realized what was happening and quickly said to the crowd, ”Quick, look up the donation account number for Project Hope.”

People immediately pulled out their phones, either calling relevant personnel or searching online.

At that moment, Kobayashi Haruo snapped out of it again and started yelling, ”Don’t even think you can make me donate! I absolutely will not donate!”

At almost the exact same time he was yelling, Yu Ke pulled up the official website for Project Hope and found the donation account. ”I found the account for Project Hope that specifically accepts yen donations!”

”Read it!” Zhao Yuan commanded, activating a third Enchanting Talisman at the same time.

And so, as Yu Ke read out the Project Hope account number, Kobayashi Haruo—who just a second ago was shouting that he would never donate—let his fingers fly across the screen, swiftly entering the transfer account number before tapping the confirm button.

The scene and the online live streams all went wild.

”Holy shit, he actually donated?”

”His entire life savings... all that money... Kobayashi Haruo actually donated it? Why is he so obedient to the Great God? What kind of spell did the Great God cast on him?”

”Kobayashi Haruo’s words and actions just now are the perfect illustration of ’the mouth says no, but the body is very honest.’”

”I really don’t get it. How can he be that afraid of the Great God? To just donate all that money when told?”

The crowd buzzed with discussion. Along with their shock, countless questions filled their minds. In their eyes, Zhao Yuan was now cloaked in an aura of mystery, inspiring a genuine sense of awe.

Just then, a phone rang. It was Kobayashi Haruo’s.

He picked up the call. It was the bank.

Kobayashi Haruo was a VIP client of this bank, and since this was a massive international transfer, the bank was calling to verify there wasn’t a problem.

While answering the phone, Kobayashi Haruo once again regained his senses. After hearing the bank’s question, his face turned green. He roared frantically, ”This is not—”

He wanted to tell them, ’I wasn’t the one who made this transfer, cancel it immediately!’ But how could Zhao Yuan let him succeed? He immediately activated another Enchanting Talisman.

’He had plenty of Enchanting Talismans now, so he could afford to waste them. What was the harm in playing a little game with Kobayashi Haruo?’

Under the Enchanting Talisman’s influence, the words on the tip of Kobayashi Haruo’s tongue instantly changed to: ”This is not a problematic transfer, you can rest assured! I want to do some good deeds and properly support a charitable cause. Transfer the money for me immediately, don’t delay me from doing a good thing!”

”Yes, yes, we will complete the transfer right away!” Having received confirmation, the bank had no more doubts and immediately followed Kobayashi Haruo’s instructions, transferring the money into the Project Hope account.
