Divine Level Witch Doctor

The three of them were ecstatic, and their shouting was so loud that everyone on the entire floor heard it.

The night before, students on the same floor had heard waves of lustful moans coming from Room 301. Now, hearing the trio’s shouts, their minds immediately went to the gutter again.

”Fuck, there’s definitely something wrong with the guys in Room 301!”

”Did you hear that? ’We’re doing it again tonight!’ Looks like they had a wild time last night!”

”Ah Wu, from your tone and expression, it sounds like you’re pretty envious of the guys in 301. Don’t tell me you’re into that stuff too? Shit, sharing a room with you, I’m suddenly worried about my own ass!”

While the students in the dormitory were buzzing with gossip, the forums of West Hua Medical University had also erupted into chaos.

This was all because Zhao Yuan had published the complete *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor* in the medicine section of the forum.

The first person to discover the post was a lecturer in the Traditional Chinese Medicine department.

The lecturer’s name was Chen Yu. He had been one of Xiao Xianlin’s doctoral students and had stayed on at the university to teach. Ever since he was a student himself, he’d had a daily habit of browsing the school forums after waking up and before bed. He would check for new professional articles, catch up on the latest campus gossip, and so on.

Today, the moment he opened the forum and went to the medicine section, he saw a post titled: ”A Classic of the Medical Family, the complete *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*. You’ll regret it if you don’t read this.”

At first, he didn’t notice who had made the post. The title alone was enough to annoy him.

He sneered and grumbled, ”The titles on these student posts are getting more and more ridiculous. The *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*? The *complete* text? It’s not even certain this book ever really existed! Even if it did, it was lost to history ages ago. How could it possibly reappear in the world? And ’You’ll regret it if you don’t read this’? Why not just go all the way and say, ’Women who read this will weep, men who read this will fall silent’?”

Chen Yu’s first instinct was to call the forum moderators and have them delete the post, but after pulling out his phone, he changed his mind.

’Just deleting the post is letting him off too easy,’ he thought. ’I should read it, then write a scathing rebuttal. Let all the students and faculty join in on the ridicule! That’ll teach this guy not to post sensationalist clickbait to get attention. And it’ll serve as a warning to anyone else who thinks about copying him.’

With that, Chen Yu immediately clicked on the post.

He glanced at the opening lines of the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*, his brow furrowing slightly. ”Hmph, they’ve faked it pretty convincingly,” he muttered. ”With talent like this, couldn’t they do something better with their time? Why resort to making stuff up just for eyeballs?”

Grumbling to himself, he continued to read.

A few minutes later, his brow hadn’t relaxed at all. In fact, it was furrowed even more deeply.

’Some of these passages actually complement certain theories from the *Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor*. Huh, I’ve never seen this particular theory before, but the way it’s explained here... it seems to make a lot of sense...’

A few more minutes passed, and his face was practically glued to the computer screen. His eyes were wide, afraid he might miss a single word, and he muttered to himself constantly, ”This sentence makes so much sense! This theory is so incisive! How on earth did they come up with this view? It’s unbelievable!”

By this point, he was completely immersed in reading and studying the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*, oblivious to everything else, including the passage of time.

He had a morning class scheduled for that day, but he was so engrossed in his study of the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor* that he had completely forgotten about it. It wasn’t until a student called him that he remembered his teaching duties.

”Class? What time is it?” Chen Yu asked.

”It’s almost nine o’clock, Teacher Chen,” the student replied.

”What? It’s almost nine?” Chen Yu’s jaw dropped. He had been reading the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor* for nearly two hours. The crucial part was, he hadn’t felt the time pass at all; he thought it had only been ten minutes.

”Wait for me, I’m on my way to the classroom now.” Chen Yu hung up and scrambled to his feet, ready to head out. But after just two steps, he turned back, muttering, ”No, I have to save this article! I don’t know if it’s the real *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*, but it’s an undeniable classic! I need to study it in depth!”

After saving the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*, it occurred to Chen Yu to check the name of the person who posted it.

The sight made him gasp. ”What? The person who posted this is... him! The Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor!”

Anyone who frequented the West Hua Medical University forums knew who ”The Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor” was. He was a publicly acknowledged, Divine-Level figure in the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine! An idol to countless people! At the same time, he was also an incredibly mysterious person. From the day he first appeared on the forums, innumerable people had tried to find him. Yet to this day, no one had succeeded. His name, identity, and whereabouts remained a complete mystery.

’Oh my god, this post was from my idol, the Great God of Witch Doctor,’ he thought. ’And I was mocking him earlier... I’m such an idiot! Thank God I didn’t call the forum moderators. Otherwise, this would have become a permanent black mark on my record!’

While still reeling, Chen Yu couldn’t help but wonder: ’Could this *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor* truly be the legendary classic, the complementary text to the *Inner Canon of the Yellow Emperor*, that was lost for a millennium?’

If anyone else had posted this, Chen Yu would have been deeply skeptical. But ”The Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor” was different. His abilities were proven, plain for all to see. And besides, the content of the post was undeniably brilliant.

”I have to tell my professor about this at once!” Chen Yu frantically pulled out his phone and dialed Xiao Xianlin’s number. The moment it connected, he blurted out, ”Professor, The Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor is online!”

”Oh? What problem did he solve this time? Was it about etiology and pathogenesis, or the principles of health preservation and treatment?” Xiao Xianlin’s voice came through the phone.

”No, he didn’t solve a problem this time. He... he...” Perhaps because he was too excited, Chen Yu stammered, unable to get the words out.

”He what? Stop stammering and spit it out!” Xiao Xianlin urged, his tone clearly showing his impatience.

”He posted a book!” Chen Yu swallowed hard and finally managed to get the words out.

”A book? What book?” Xiao Xianlin asked, stunned. ”One he wrote himself?”

”No, it’s a long-lost masterpiece of the Medical Family—the *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*!” He practically roared the name of the book.

”What did you say? The *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*?” Xiao Xianlin said in disbelief. ”You must be joking.”

Chen Yu quickly replied, ”It’s true, Professor, I wouldn’t dare lie to you! If you go to the university forum right now, you should be able to see it!”

”The *Outer Canon of the Yellow Emperor*? How is that possible?”

After hanging up, Xiao Xianlin quickly turned on his computer and logged into the forum.

At the same time, numerous people in the world of Traditional Chinese Medicine had also seen the post from ”The Man Who Wants to be a Witch Doctor,” and they were frantically calling their friends, colleagues, and mentors...
