Ghost Catching System

These three people were led by Old Kui. The other two young men, who had clearly carried her, were his subordinates.

”Help! Help me!” Ma Qingyu screamed in terror.

Old Kui showed his yellow teeth and said, ”Stop shouting. Even if you scream your throat raw, no one will come to save you.”

Hearing this, Ma Qingyu became even more scared. It was clear there were no good people here; she was doomed today.

At that moment, inside the wooden hut, a dark figure stood up, the wooden floorboards creaking loudly under his weight.

Then, a burly man about two meters tall walked out. Ma Qingyu saw that his body was covered with green hair, he had two large fang-like teeth by his mouth, and his complexion was deathly pale. He looked extremely terrifying.

This wasn’t any kind of human; he was clearly a wild man from the legends—more accurately, he was a zombie!

”Ah!” Ma Qingyu screamed, her face turning ashen.

Old Kui and the other two immediately knelt down, respectfully saying, ”Second-in-Command, the person has been delivered.”

The three didn’t dare lift their heads. This Second-in-Command was very fearsome. It was said that in his early years, he raised ghosts. At some unknown point, he began to use his own flesh to nurture them, behaving in an extremely insane manner, which eventually transformed him into his current state.

The Second-in-Command had refined himself into a living zombie.

Unlike other zombies, many of whom lacked consciousness, the Second-in-Command retained his own.

When the Second-in-Command saw Ma Qingyu, his eyes, still as death, emitted a blood-red light. He nodded, saying, ”Good. You all go down and receive your merits.”

Old Kui and the others were overjoyed. It was not easy to earn merits in Gui Yin Mountain, and with the Second-in-Command having spoken, those merits were assured.

”Second-in-Command, please enjoy yourself at your leisure. We will be leaving now,” Old Kui hurriedly said as he got to his feet.

After Old Kui and the others left, Ma Qingyu faced the Second-in-Command, her entire body stiff. She couldn’t even run; her legs had gone soft from fright.

The Second-in-Command was in no hurry. Outsiders claimed he had a weakness for women, but this wasn’t true. He had become this way by refining ghosts using his own body and needed the Yin energy from women to sustain himself; otherwise, he would lose control of his murderous urges.

The Second-in-Command found Ma Qingyu very suitable. Just by absorbing this woman’s Yin essence, he estimated he could live in peace for several months.

Ma Qingyu didn’t even know what to say. Scared to the point of incoherence, she stammered, ”You... don’t come over. My... my brother is very powerful.”

The Second-in-Command said indifferently, ”Don’t worry. No one will be able to find this place. Even if they do, they’re likely already dead.”

With that, he pointed to a corner of the room where numerous wooden stakes stood.

Ma Qingyu turned her head and saw several elderly women tied to the stakes. They were incredibly weak but still alive, each with disheveled hair.

The Second-in-Command said, ”They were once just like you, beautiful as flowers. Now you will become one of them.”

Once like me? Does that mean these old women tied up here were once beautiful young women too?

Ma Qingyu’s face turned deathly pale. These women tied to the stakes looked to be in their sixties or seventies, with gray hair and dry, withered skin.

It was over.

This was the Yin and Yang Realm, and she now regretted coming here. Chu Hao was right: the evildoers of the Yin and Yang Realm had lost the most basic human morals and would kill more people to become stronger.

The green-haired Second-in-Command walked up to Ma Qingyu, pondering how to enjoy her.

The Second-in-Command leisurely said, ”Should I slowly absorb your Yin essence, or should I relish it all at once?”

After thinking for a moment, he added, ”It’s been a while since I’ve seen a woman like you. How about I play with you for a few days first?”

Upon hearing this, Ma Qingyu became even more desperate, wishing the man would just kill her then and there.

Just then, a cold voice sounded at the doorway, ”How about I carve you into pieces first?”

The sudden voice startled them both. The Second-in-Command shouted angrily, ”Who’s there?”

Ma Qingyu also looked over. When she saw the newcomer, she couldn’t hold back anymore and burst into tears.

”Chu... Chu Hao,” she sobbed, ”you finally came.”

The person who had arrived was indeed Chu Hao.

Chu Hao’s face was grim. He had rushed over, fearing something had happened to Ma Qingyu. Thankfully, he had made it in time.

Chu Hao lunged forward, his fist shooting out. Even he didn’t fully comprehend his current level of prowess. This punch circulated True Qi and employed the Thousand Army attack technique from his Po Jun Fist.

With this punch, a terrifying force erupted. Even the Second-in-Command sensed something was amiss and raised his arms to block.

BANG!

The Second-in-Command shot out straight, his body like a cannonball, piercing through the ancient wooden house. He flew an unknown distance.

Chu Hao said indifferently, ”Great Treasure, Little Bao, protect her.”

”Yes.”

The twin brothers were not to be trifled with. They had journeyed all this way to exterminate Gui Yin Mountain. Now, seeing the women tied to wooden posts in this room, a fire of anger ignited in their hearts.

If they hadn’t gotten into trouble in the army, the two would have wished to roll in with tanks and flatten this place.

BOOM!

The Second-in-Command’s body flew straight out, smashing through an unknown number of trees before crashing into a stone wall and coming to a stop. He spurted out a mouthful of dark blood.

The Second-in-Command was dumbfounded. What kind of power was this?

If he were still an ordinary person, that punch would have blasted him apart.

ROAR!

The Second-in-Command threw his head back and howled. His green fur grew an inch longer, his nails elongated and turned a dark, bruised color, and his entire face contorted to resemble an Asura from Hell.

”What happened?”

The entire stronghold was startled by the roar, and people rushed out of their dwellings.

”An intruder!”

”There’s an intruder! Prepare for battle!”

Countless people emerged, their gazes fixed on the Second-in-Command’s house.

Old Kui was among the crowd. They had just left the Second-in-Command’s house. What on earth had happened?

The entire stronghold was alarmed. The Second-in-Command emerged, his arms broken—the power of that single punch had been too immense. He shouted angrily, ”Who are you?”

The stronghold’s inhabitants eyed him fiercely.

From inside the house, a young man emerged. He was casually dressed, his eyes sharp as a deity’s. As his gaze swept over everyone present, an intangible aura seemed to thin the very air.

The people of the stronghold, one by one, produced various objects: earthen jars, Little Paper Men, clay figures. These were their usual vessels for nurturing ghosts, and each released their own Fierce Ghosts.

The stronghold was populous. Now, everyone released the ghosts they had nurtured—some even had two. The specters hovered in midair, creating an exceedingly eerie and sinister scene.

Any ordinary person seeing this would probably be scared half to death.

Chu Hao watched. How many people must have been killed to refine so many ghosts?

Especially some of the older generation, who had actually nurtured three ghosts each, their malevolence was extremely heavy.

Chu Hao’s killing intent grew stronger. Every single person here cannot be spared. Otherwise, it will be my failing.

Chu Hao stood with his hands behind his back, speaking coldly, ”From this day forward, Gui Yin Mountain shall be no more.”
