Ghost Catching System

The lean old man thought for a moment, then smiled and said, ”Didn’t the Second-in-Command say to keep an eye out for beautiful women? This one is just right.”

The Second-in-Command had a fondness for women. By pleasing him, the old man’s status in Gui Yin Mountain could rise like the tide. This thought left the old man overjoyed.

So, he took out a yellow talisman, wrote some things on it, and burned it.

After a short while, a towering figure emerged above the incense burner and said coldly, ”Old Kui, what have you discovered?”

Old Kui quickly stood up. ”Second-in-Command, I’ve found a woman who perfectly suits your tastes.”

The Second-in-Command nodded. ”Bring her to me tomorrow. You will be rewarded for your achievement.”

”Yes!” Old Kui said excitedly.

...

Early in the morning, Chu Hao awoke and looked toward Ma Qingyu. The young lady was sleeping soundly but had kicked off her covers, exposing her snow-white, tender legs. Who could withstand such a sight first thing in the morning?

If this continued, he’d be overwhelmed by frustration, Chu Hao thought with a bitter taste in his mouth.

Ma Qingyu woke up and didn’t see Chu Hao on the floor. He didn’t run away, did he? she thought, startled.

”Damn it!”

Ma Qingyu quickly dressed and ran out the door. She was relieved to find the twin brothers were just getting up.

”Where did he go?” she wondered.

It wasn’t long before Chu Hao returned. Ma Qingyu suddenly asked, ”Little Chu, where did you go?”

Chu Hao chuckled. ”I went out to cool off.”

Ma Qingyu was surprised. She reacted quickly, saying, somewhat at a loss for words, ”Little Chu, even if you’re desperate, you can’t just do that.”

Chu Hao curled his lip. ”Staying with you, sleeping in the same room, and seeing you kick off the covers first thing in the morning—that sight is too much for anyone to endure!”

Ma Qingyu’s face turned red to the tips of her ears, and she felt ashamed. She knew all too well the lethal effect she had on men. It must have been difficult for him.

Ma Qingyu said helplessly, ”Well... even so, you can’t just go out and find a prostitute first thing in the morning. Those places are messy. Many people carry diseases.”

Chu Hao nearly choked. Is that the kind of person I am in your eyes? he thought, then said, ”Who told you I went to such a place? Your imagination is really something else!”

Ma Qingyu gave an awkward smile, then quickly laughed. ”I knew you wouldn’t go. I was just joking.”

Chu Hao stroked his chin. ”That’s not necessarily the case.”

Ma Qingyu looked around to make sure no one was listening and whispered, ”If you really want to, I can help.”

Chu Hao’s interest was piqued. ”Help how?”

Ma Qingyu giggled. ”I know a very clean place where you won’t catch any diseases. You can go there.”

Chu Hao walked away angrily.

”Don’t be mad! I was just joking with you.”

...

After breakfast, Ma Qingyu went to the restroom. Then, an unexpected incident occurred—she disappeared?

Chu Hao waited a while. Sensing something was wrong, he rushed into the restroom. Indeed, she was nowhere to be found. His face turned extremely grim.

Seeing Chu Hao approach him, Brother Shen said in a panic, ”She... she must have been taken! The White-haired Ghosts around here are all controlled by someone.”

Chu Hao had only known Ma Qingyu for a few days but had a good impression of her. How could he not be angry that she was kidnapped right under his nose?

”So, this is Gui Yin Mountain!” Chu Hao exclaimed, his voice dripping with sarcasm and anger.

Chu Hao was truly furious, his entire body radiating a terrifying aura. He immediately had Great Treasure drive toward Gui Yin Mountain.

It was only ten kilometers away, a drive of about fifteen minutes.

Amidst the large mountains, overlapping peaks wreathed in white mist evoked a sense of oppression.

Chu Hao looked up. The mountains were steep, resembling a giant skull lurking within the fog.

Brother Shen’s voice was bitter. He had no choice but to act as their guide; otherwise, they would all die.

With Brother Shen leading the way, the journey through the massive mountain, which would have been disorienting for others, felt straightforward. They quickly ventured deep into the mountains.

”RUSTLE!”

The subtle sound from the woods did not escape Chu Hao’s notice. The twin brothers also clearly detected it, but since their boss didn’t react, neither did they.

”Who’s there?!”

A voice came from the underbrush.

Brother Shen hastily replied, ”It’s me, Dashen.”

The man who emerged looked like a migrant worker. He chuckled, ”So it’s Brother Dashen. You’ve returned early today.”

This fellow knew Dashen well. It was apparent that Brother Dashen held a higher status, as the worker spoke with polite deference.

”Brother Dashen, who are these people?” the worker asked.

Brother Shen had been severely warned. He only had to bring Chu Hao inside for his task to be complete, and Chu Hao might spare his life.

Growing impatient, Brother Dashen said, ”These are guests. Don’t concern yourself with them. Let me ask you something: did someone bring a woman into the mountain earlier?”

Shifting his gaze from Chu Hao, the worker smiled. ”Brother Dashen, you really are well-informed! Indeed, about ten minutes before you arrived, a woman was brought in. That woman... tsk tsk... she was stunningly beautiful. I heard Old Kui say she was an offering to the Second-in-Command. When will we ever get to be like the Second-in-Command and play with women so casually?”

Upon hearing this, Brother Shen broke out in a cold sweat on his forehead. He had only suspected that the people of Gui Yin Mountain were responsible; now it was confirmed.

Chu Hao said indifferently, ”Good. We’re here to discuss matters with the Second-in-Command.”

Who is this person, boldly claiming he wants to talk to the Second-in-Command? the worker wondered, suspicious.

This time, Brother Dashen had learned his lesson. He quickly said, ”Sir, I will take you there right away.”

The worker was taken aback. Brother Dashen already held a high position, yet he was calling this young man ’Sir.’ This young man must have an impressive background!

Brother Shen urged, ”Hurry up and clear the way! Didn’t you hear the Sir say he wants to talk to the Second-in-Command?”

”OH, OH.” The worker snapped back to his senses.

He pulled a rope on the ground, and the numerous large trees before them instantly parted, revealing a small path leading deeper into the forest.

The people of the Gui Yin Sect were well hidden. One might have thought there was no path ahead, but it appeared as soon as the rope was pulled.

The four of them walked on, while the worker continued to mutter, speculating about Chu Hao’s identity.

After walking for about ten minutes, they finally saw some structures. The buildings were made of old timber, emitting a primordial aura. It was like a mountain stronghold, bustling with people.

”Hey! Brother Shen is back!”

The mountain folk greeted Brother Dashen upon seeing him.

Brother Dashen, having been assigned to find the Heavenly Bone Woman and rewarded with a magical lamp-like artifact, naturally held a distinct position in Gui Yin Mountain.

Everyone here possessed weak Yang Qi. Due to their ghost-raising practices, their expressions were grim and somber, devoid of vitality.

Brother Dashen inquired, ”Where is the Second-in-Command?”

”He’s in the stronghold. Why do you need the Second-in-Command?”

”Urgent business.”

...

Ma Qingyu slowly awoke to find herself in a wooden room. She was immediately startled to see three other people around her.

She remembered going to the restroom. Suddenly, someone had covered her nose and mouth from behind, and she had passed out.

Ma Qingyu exclaimed, ”Who are you?!”

Seeing Ma Qingyu awake, an old farmer with yellow-stained teeth chuckled. ”Don’t be afraid, girl. You’re very safe now.”

Ma Qingyu almost fainted. ’Very safe now?’ she thought. ’Are you trying to fool a three-year-old?’
