Ghost Catching System

Chu Hao slowly woke up to find himself lying in a hospital. His head was pounding horribly, and his body felt unbearably weak.

”What happened to me!”

Chu Hao couldn’t remember anything. What had happened last night was a complete blank, just like the previous time he’d lost his memory.

At that moment, quite a few people walked into the ward. Diao Chan was the first to pounce on him, hugging Chu Hao excitedly. ”Brother Chu, I’m so glad you’re okay,” she said.

The women exchanged glances. Their embarrassment was palpable; none had encountered such a situation before, and they didn’t know how to handle it.

Luo Yan sat down, crossed her arms and legs, assuming a frosty demeanor.

Luo Yan said, ”Mom! What are we going to do about this? You went too far this time.”

Fang Linxuan emerged from behind, walking awkwardly with a mix of grievance and disbelief. Looking at Chu Hao, she said, ”Wow! Ah-Hao, I’m so glad you’re alright.”

Luo Yan was so annoyed her teeth itched. ”Get to the point,” she snapped.

Fang Linxuan shrank her neck, on the verge of tears again, and replied, ”Mom did this for your own good, didn’t she? How could I know something like this would happen?”

For my good!

Luo Yan felt close to vomiting blood. Having to deal with such a ridiculous mother her whole life, she was on the verge of a breakdown.

Chu Hao felt bewildered and asked, ”What... what’s going on? Why am I in the hospital?”

As expected, memory loss, right?

The women sighed. This couldn’t be blamed on Chu Hao; he was one of the victims, too.

Zhang Qin’ai held her forehead and recounted the whole incident.

Chu Hao’s expression changed dramatically, his face turning red then white.

Oh my god, I was actually drugged, and Fang Linxuan was the one who did it—this is just too incredible! But... why does Brother Hao feel a sense of accomplishment?

Chu Hao was incredibly weak from the after-effects of the drug. He had felt weak after taking the antidote last time, but this time, he was so enfeebled he could hardly stand, his brain feeling starved of oxygen.

Ji Bingbing quickly made her stance clear, saying, ”I don’t mind at all! After all, I have a boyfriend, so let’s just forget it.”

Ji Bingbing was certainly bold to say such a thing. The other girls blushed so hard their faces looked like they were bleeding. And talking about having a boyfriend in front of all of us? Isn’t that like cuckolding him? This girl is too fierce.

Yeye and Zhou Ziqing also decided to let it go. After all, whatever had happened, they were victims too. Besides, they bluntly said something that moved Chu Hao to tears of gratitude.

Zhou Ziqing, a very generous girl, said, ”Besides, nothing truly improper happened.”

Oh, heavens. Oh, earth. Such good girls! Chu Hao was almost moved to tears.

Zhang Qin’ai said helplessly, ”I’m fine too. We grew up together, so I’m very familiar with him in... every way.”

You vixen! Spare me some dignity, will you?

Everyone looked towards one girl, the timid Yeye. Her face flushed as she said, ”I... I’m fine too. There’s something I would like to ask Master Chu for help with.”

”What is it!?”

Yeye became even more embarrassed. ”It’s about my... my fiancé,” she said.

Chu Hao: ”...”

Everyone: ”...”

The girl already has a fiancé!

The women looked at Chu Hao with strange expressions.

You really lucked out this time. If it were any other occasion, they’d beat a guy like you ten times a day and still not feel it was enough.

Chu Hao felt a bit nervous. What if her fiancé chased him ten blocks with a knife?!

Yeye quickly said, ”It’s not what you think. My fiancé has been acting strange recently. He—he always locks himself in his room after work, talking to himself. I’m worried something malevolent might have attached itself to him, so I wanted to ask Master Chu for help.”

Chu Hao weakly patted his chest. He looked utterly haggard, his pupils dilated, as he responded, ”Leave it to me.”

Luo Yan said with resignation, ”Let’s just pretend this never happened. After all, Chu Hao is a victim too.”

The women nodded in agreement.

Off to the side, Fang Linxuan wanted to say something, but when she saw Luo Yan glare at her, she immediately fell silent.

Hey, hey... are you all going to let it go just like that? Chu Hao was somewhat displeased. Just moments ago, he was feeling smug, thinking maybe he could be like the legendary Wei Xiaobao from ancient times, with seven wives, and all the girls here throwing themselves at him. But this plot twist was too absurd. They all didn’t care? Have women nowadays become *this* bold and unrestrained? Chu Hao felt like he’d taken ten thousand points of critical damage. Could it be that Brother Hao lacked charm?

He couldn’t help recalling the last time with Yi Qinglian, Tang Mo, and a third girl; they had all reacted the same way.

What was wrong with them all!?

The girls had all left, Diao Chan included. Everyone went home to rest. Not resting for two or three days was out of the question, as the experience would surely leave psychological scars.

Chu Hao lay in the hospital, staring at the ceiling, bewildered.

Am I a maniac?

Chu Hao felt like he was falling apart as he realized a very serious problem. Every time he had a great opportunity to enjoy himself, he couldn’t remember a thing. It was either a blackout or amnesia.

Moreover, was his virginity still intact?

Is it still there or not... Who the hell can tell me? I feel like I’ve been completely played. There’s no love left in this world.

「...」

After staying in the hospital for a day, Chu Hao felt utterly bored. When he got out of bed, his legs were wobbly, and he felt weak all over.

”This medicine is too potent,” Chu Hao said with resignation.

At that moment, several men and women came in. They looked like they had been in a fight, each with a white gauze bandage wrapped around their head. One of them was even lying on a hospital bed, wailing.

Chu Hao felt he couldn’t stay here any longer. His legs were weak, his kidneys ached dully, and he felt feeble all over. He probably needed another day or two of rest.

Suddenly, someone walked up to him, put a hand on his shoulder, and pushed him down to sit.

”Chu Hao!?”

A young man, flashing a grin of gleaming white teeth, looked at him cheerfully.

Chu Hao glanced at the three men and frowned. ”Who are you?”

”You’ll find out soon enough. Come with us,” the young man said indifferently.

Chu Hao sneered, ”Why the hell should I go with you?”

The young man crossed his arms and chuckled coldly. ”Quite arrogant, aren’t you, kid! Are you coming or not? Don’t blame us for getting rough.”

If I weren’t so weak right now, taking you down would be child’s play. How dare you try to act tough in front of me!

Chu Hao asked, ”Where to?”

”My brother wants to see you,” the young man said.

So, they were Little Loulou’s men. Chu Hao glanced at the newcomers; though they weren’t looking directly at him, they were clearly part of the young man’s group. Heh... Brother Hao has never feared anyone. No need to waste words on these lackeys.

Chu Hao said, ”Alright! Tell your boss to come see me.”

The young man’s voice turned icy. ”Don’t push your luck. Believe it or not, I can make you suffer right now!”

Arrogant, huh?

Chu Hao mustered all his strength and slapped him across the face.

The unexpected slap caught the young man off guard, and he was smacked hard.

The slap stung, but why did it feel so weak?

The young man raged, ”Damn it, you dare to hit me? I’ll make sure you pay for this.”

Sure enough, the other people in the ward stood up, cracking their knuckles, looking eager to deal with Chu Hao.

As expected, that ’intense battle’ all night left me completely drained. I really don’t want to get ganged up on. Chu Hao quickly said, ”Wait... It’s not fair for so many of you to gang up on one person.”

The young man sneered, ”Alright! Seeing how weak you look, I’ll take you on one-on-one.”

Chu Hao felt a bit apprehensive, since he really was quite weak at the moment. ”I’m hungry,” he said. ”Let me eat something first, then we can settle this.”

The young man was infuriated. ”Son of a bitch, are you trying to stall for time? Let me tell you, no one is coming to save you!”

Chu Hao scoffed, ”Does Brother Hao need to stall for time to deal with a scrawny dude like you? I really am a bit hungry.”

”Keep pretending,” the young man said.

After saying that, the young man stood up and kicked at Chu Hao.
