Ghost Catching System

Ju Desheng’s demeanor was almost as if he hadn’t seen a beautiful woman in years. He didn’t care about Chu Hao; he just wanted to chat with the beauties.

Chu Hao looked at the unruly group and started to feel slightly annoyed. He said, ”I’ll drink with you guys.”

A hooligan-looking man, about the same age as Ju Desheng, laughed and said, ”Little Maozi, right? I think you’ve had enough. These ladies haven’t even started.”

These three lazy toads also want to drink with Fang Linxuan?

Yu Sicheng and the others wouldn’t have it.

Chu Hao gestured for everyone to calm down and said indifferently, ”How about this? I’ll give Brother Gou some face. Whichever one of you can drink me under the table can go drink with my Auntie Fang. Not to be disparaging, but if any of you can drink me down, I’ll cover all your midnight snacks tonight.”

A blond Shamate scoffed, ”Brother Gou, this friend of yours is pretty arrogant!”

They thought Chu Hao was too young. If it weren’t for the beauties, they wouldn’t have bothered with him.

Ju Desheng tugged at the corner of Chu Hao’s clothes. He was here to pick up girls, and this kid wasn’t giving him face. Have some guts, I’m your brother!

Chu Hao acted as if he didn’t see and completely ignored Ju Desheng. He poured a full glass of alcohol and said, ”Brother Gou, let’s have one, just the two of us.”

Ju Desheng’s expression changed, and he said resentfully, ”You... you drink with my brothers first.”

”Okay.”

Half a shichen later, all three of Ju Desheng’s brothers had been floored.

”Brother Gou, I... I can’t do it anymore.” One Shamate collapsed on the ground.

After taking down three men, Chu Hao said unflinchingly, ”Brother Gou, your brothers are no good. Such weaklings want to drink with my Auntie Fang? How about you drink with me?”

”DING... The Host casually showed off, gaining 400 Pretentiousness Points.”

Damn it!!

Ju Desheng’s face turned green with anger. He inwardly cursed Chu Hao for being so unappreciative. Although they were both from the same orphanage, they hadn’t seen each other in a long time. He had come to pick up girls, but this kid was getting in his way.

Moreover, his alcohol tolerance was simply too high. Even the Shamates, who could hold their liquor well, had all been drunk under the table by him.

Ju Desheng knew that picking up girls today was not going to happen. If he drank any more, he would be in serious trouble. He quickly waved his hands and said, ”No more drinking, no more. I still have to take them back.”

”Okay,” Chu Hao said.

Ju Desheng secretly ground his teeth in frustration as his group left in a sorry state. They had thrown up so many times they even vomited blood.

What the hell? How can everyone at this table hold their liquor so well?!

After Ju Desheng left, Chu Hao’s perception of him began to change. Ju Desheng had completely changed after being away for so many years.

At that moment, he looked at the others. Only Wenmi and Qiu Yun’er were still sober; everyone else was drunk as skunks.

Wenmi rubbed her temples and said with a wry smile, ”I can’t believe we’ve all ended up like this. Yun’er and I will take them back.”

Fang Linxuan was also drunk. With a hazy look in her eyes, she said, ”Ah-Hao, you... you take us back.”

Chu Hao didn’t think much of it and replied, ”Sure.”

After hailing a cab, he helped the mother and daughter into the car. A few minutes into the ride, Chu Hao immediately felt something was wrong. ”Why is it so hot?” he asked. ”Driver, did you turn on the heat?”

The taxi driver looked enviously at Chu Hao, who had two great beauties like Luo Yan and Fang Linxuan with him.

The driver said enviously, ”It’s chilly out. What air conditioning would I turn on? I don’t have money for that.”

Chu Hao was unbearably hot, sweat starting to bead on his forehead. ”Weird,” he said. ”Why is it so hot?”

Looking at Fang Linxuan and Luo Yan, they were both completely drunk.

Arriving at the apartment, with the driver watching enviously, Chu Hao carried Luo Yan on his back while supporting the staggering Fang Linxuan. The three of them then entered the apartment.

Chu Hao was burning up, and his vision began to blur. He tossed the two women onto the couch, drank a large glass of water, and wondered if he might be drunk.

That’s not right! Why does this feel so familiar?

Chu Hao’s gaze couldn’t help but fall on the two women on the couch.

In an instant, hormones surged within Chu Hao.

Chu Hao slapped himself. His thoughts grew increasingly disturbed, and he was losing control. He slowly made his way over.

How conflicted he felt! Brother Hao wasn’t that kind of person! Should he, or shouldn’t he?

Chu Hao didn’t want to take advantage of someone in their vulnerable state. He, too, had romantic fantasies of mutual consent. But why did things never turn out the way he imagined?

Panting heavily, his mind growing foggier and his body sweating profusely, he was as red as a tomato.

Fucking hell, I can’t stand this anymore!

Just as Chu Hao was about to make a move, a very groggy Fang Linxuan mumbled, ”Ah-Hao, help Auntie back to her room.”

”Oh, okay.”

As Chu Hao supported Fang Linxuan, the moment he touched her skin, he thought he had never felt anything so good.

Fang Linxuan could really hold her liquor. She slowly regained consciousness and saw Chu Hao’s eyes, bloodshot and staring intently at her.

Fang Linxuan jumped in fright, immediately realizing what was happening.

Has the Happy Union Powder taken effect?

Panicking, Fang Linxuan said, ”Ah-Hao, I’m your Auntie Fang!”

Drenched in sweat, Chu Hao felt his consciousness blurring. Unable to hold back any longer, he pounced on her.

Fang Linxuan shrieked. He was like a wild beast lunging at her, as if he wanted to kill her.

Pale with fear, Fang Linxuan slapped Chu Hao, shouting, ”Ah-Hao, wake up!”

Panting heavily, Chu Hao muttered, ”Auntie Fang, what’s... what’s happening to me?”

”Happy Union Powder... antidote...” Fang Linxuan was also panicking, rummaging through her bag for the antidote.

Upon finally finding it, Fang Linxuan hurriedly made Chu Hao swallow it. Only then did she let out a long sigh of relief.

Looking at the torn clothes, Fang Linxuan couldn’t help but give a wry smile.

...

The next day, Chu Hao woke up dazed to find himself sleeping on the couch.

Chu Hao couldn’t remember a thing.

He saw the bedroom door open, and Fang Linxuan, dressed in her pajamas, walked out.

Chu Hao quickly got up and asked, ”Auntie Fang, why am I sleeping here?”

Fang Linxuan looked somewhat guilty as she asked, ”You really can’t remember anything?”

Chu Hao, completely bewildered as he truly couldn’t remember a thing, asked, ”Auntie, what happened last night?”

Fang Linxuan’s mouth twitched. ”Nothing... nothing happened,” she replied. ”Weren’t you supposed to go to Jiulong County? You should hurry.”

Chu Hao knew something was definitely off. He noticed he wasn’t wearing any clothes, just covered with a blanket. Who undressed me?

”Auntie Fang, are you sure nothing’s wrong?” Chu Hao asked, frowning.

Fang Linxuan put on a stern face and said, ”Nothing’s wrong. You just drank too much last night. Auntie needs to rest now.”

Seeing that he wasn’t going to get any answers from her, Chu Hao stopped questioning, got dressed, and left.

Once Chu Hao was gone, Fang Linxuan finally breathed a sigh of relief. She unfolded the note; on the other side, it read:

”Extremely effective, may cause amnesia.”

This is such bullshit!!

Chu Hao really had amnesia. The drug’s effect was just too terrifying!

Luckily, the antidote had calmed Chu Hao down in the end, which also caused him to forget everything about the previous day.
