I just wanted you to make a movie: You made a Honkai Star Rail movie

”And the Compass is the ship that sails to the New World. It leads Clockie and the others through thick fog, navigating into the depths of the sea. Whenever danger arises, Clockie operates the compass to steer everyone in the right direction.”

At this point, not only Stelle and March 7th were confused.

Even the audience felt like they were sitting in class as children.

That feeling when you recognize every word, but once they’re put together, you have no idea what it means.

-------------------------------------

: Almost everyone has seen the animation of Clockie, right? We now all know it’s a metaphor for Penacony’s history, but what is this crew member Clockie that Misha mentions about?

: Anyway, everything related to Clockie is a metaphor, definitely referring to some things we don’t know about.

: Then what does this personified Clockie in Penacony mean?

: Ahhh, I don’t know, Clockie isn’t one to speak in riddles either!

: Normally, I’d just let the riddles be, but the problem is I seem to know how the express crew should answer Sunday.

...

The viewers’ confusion has already spilled out of the screen.

And in the plot.

Himeko pondered slightly, then said: ”It’s a nice story, but in the Penacony animation, Clockie and his friends always lived in Dreamville Town, and seemed to have never left, right?”

For this animated figure, Himeko had already quietly figured out a lot.

What they knew might be even more than what Stelle and March 7th knew.

”Huh, it seems like that...”

After Himeko said that, Misha held his head in distress: ”Strange, I clearly remember that the Sleeping... finally... broke off...”

He forgot again.

But Himeko had anticipated it. She gently said: ”Maybe Clockie also has an unknown past, and this will need your help.”

Himeko’s strong affinity gradually relieved Misha’s confusion, and he nodded, determined to solve these mysteries.

Then.

Led by Misha, everyone continued searching in this strange space.

They saw a huge hanging fountain.

The gushing water sprayed downward but did not change shape due to gravity.

At this moment, Misha suddenly remembered something.

”Every wandering day, gazing at the light spots beneath the waves, I feel as if I’ve returned here, returned to your side.”

Misha spoke out the information that popped into his head, and then added: ”This is what Mikhail wrote in his sailing log. Grandpa said that although sailing meant facing many dangers, whenever he saw the shimmering sea surface from the deck, he would always think of the fountain at the door of his home.”

”Grandpa said that whenever he thought of this fountain, it felt like coming home. No matter how tough life at sea was, it didn’t feel too hard.”

Home?

A keyword that Himeko keenly caught.

Many viewers also sensed something.

But it was still not specific enough.

Whether it was the sea or the fountain representing home, the meaning was too abstract.

”Perhaps every adventurer far from home has such a fountain in their hearts. For Mikhail, no matter how unknown the end of the sea may be, this fountain is always his compass, always guiding him back to his family.”

At this moment.

Himeko said thoughtfully.

”Yes!”

Hearing this, Misha smiled: ”When Mikhail was at home, we would stand by the fountain and launch the Compass into the pool to watch it spin on its own!”

”At that time, I would ask him when I could go on a sea voyage, but Grandpa always said I was still too young and wouldn’t let me go.”

Scene after scene of memories appeared because of Himeko’s words.

Even Misha himself was unsure how he felt when saying these words, but he couldn’t help but show a happy smile.

But Himeko looked at Mikhail with a knowing, gentle look.

”Hiss...”

”Ah...”

In the whole room, only two people looked troubled.

Stelle and March 7th exchanged glances.

”Wait, is Mikhail the Watchmaker or a navigator?”

”This makes the mystery even more complicated. According to little Misha, he was a child born on an ocean planet living an ordinary life, having nothing to do with Penacony...”

Stelle and March 7th spoke one after another, like doing a comedy skit, expressing their confusion.

But as they spoke, March 7th’s mind suddenly lit up.

”Could it be?”

”What kind of metaphor is this?”

”The ocean represents the Memory Zone.”

After speaking, March 7th’s eyes lit up, feeling that her guess was very reliable.

”Yes, sorry.”

Facing the question, Misha shook his head apologetically and said in a low voice: ”I, I don’t know either, but the memories just surged up like this.”

”Alright then!”

March 7th crossed her arms: ”Looks like we need to keep going forward.”

She was full of energy, but Stelle directly slumped into despair, unable to understand or interrupt, simply spreading her hands and leaning back.

”Tired, let’s just destroy everything.”

Himeko smiled dotingly, patted Stelle’s shoulder to encourage her.

Of course, Stelle was joking.

After a short rest, the group continued onward.

They arrived at a study room.

This was a place that Stelle and Firefly hadn’t visited before, and inside several illusions were floating in the air.

”Don’t go!”

”Finally reached the new world!”

”We’ve been through so many difficulties along the way!”

”Let’s keep sailing.”

”Captain Misha, our direction is correct.”

Voices with various emotions were being played out in these illusions.

”Misha! You’re finally here!”

Just as everyone felt this room was different from the others, a familiar voice sounded.

It was Clockie!

At some unknown moment, Clockie was already standing on the study’s desk, hands on hips, welcoming everyone.

...

: Too strange, too strange, this place feels like a chaotic and heavily metaphorical process.

: Misha’s memories appeared abruptly, and Clockie also appeared suddenly, just like in a dream, appearing out of nowhere without reason.

: I kind of have a clue. Just now March 7th’s flash of inspiration might be correct. The Memory Zone is the ocean, and Mikhail is a navigator. In ’reality’, isn’t Mikhail the captain steering the great ship Penacony across the Memory Zone of Asdana?

: Hiss... So just like in those adventure stories, Captain Mikhail must have left behind some precious treasure on some small island. Are we looking for a treasure map?

: That should be the idea. But Misha is such a riddle person; he doesn’t even feel like a character that would appear in Penacony.

: Simple, ordinary, the only mysterious thing is his identity. But once his role appears, it becomes very formulaic.

: The most awkward character in Penacony, not very deep, but also can’t be absent. Without him, this inheritance matter can’t be resolved.

: A bit of a flaw, but it’s okay. Hurry up! I want to see the inheritance! See the treasure!

...

Following the given clues, the audience came to a relatively reliable conclusion.

You could say they’re already very close to the truth, but still one step away.

Their attention was completely locked onto the verbal sparring between the express crew and Sunday, as well as the matter of the inheritance.

Even felt that Misha was a bit too much like a tool character.

Only existed to deliver information.

And at this moment.

On screen.

After Misha excitedly greeted Clockie, he recalled more things and began to introduce the room to everyone.

”Every time Mikhail returned from a voyage, he would place a navigation log on the bookshelf in this room. This is his record of exploring every corner of the world.”

”He said that our world is like a fountain. At some unknown point, seawater started to slowly flood the places where people live.”

”To find the source of the problem, [garbled text].”

As Misha spoke up to here, his voice suddenly became much lower.

His eyes flickered, as if more memories were emerging.

”That day, he called me into the study and said [garbled text] to set sail like that.”

”But I could see that grandfather’s expression was very serious. Before grandfather’s last voyage, I saw the same expression on his face.”

”I begged him to take me along, but he said my adventure wasn’t here and told me to stay home and patiently wait for the sound outside the door.”

At this point, Misha paused.

Beside him, March 7th, already curious, eagerly asked: ”What sound?”

”Mikhail said...”

Misha raised his head, looking upwards, his gaze seemingly piercing through here, directly looking at the starry sky: ”In the vast sea of the heavens, there is a express carrying children who wish to go far away, [garbled text].”

”He knows the people on that express. He would entrust them to take me along and leave together. The journey I’ve dreamed of would start from here.”

At this moment, the plot began to echo the riddles Misha had mentioned earlier.

It started sprinting forward from an angle the audience had never considered.

”Grandfather told me that the days ahead would not be easy, so he left me a pocket watch. It was his treasure, appearing in every story of setting sail.”

”As long as I keep taking that step forward, I will definitely reach the place I want to go. And then... I heard the whistle of the express. It rang from the other side of the room.”

After saying this.

Clockie happily said from the side: ”Yes! Misha! We followed the direction of the sound, didn’t we!”

And after Clockie said this...

Misha looked up, gazing at the express crew, [garbled text].

”Let’s go, please come with me to my home.”

His words were no longer confused.

Under Misha’s lead, they finally arrived at the last cabin.

A warm place, filled with various clocks, machinery, and of course, compasses.

”This is my home.”

Misha’s tone had become very confident: ”I grew up here. I am the captain of the ’Compass,’ and Clockie and Miss Mirror are the crew members.”

”Looks like you’ve fully remembered everything.”

Himeko smiled.

As the navigator, she had already vaguely sensed it.

And now Misha’s words proved her judgment correct.

”Eh? Wait, why do you all have such a tacit understanding look?”

March 7th, completely confused, stared and said.

”Actually, I don’t know either.”

Stelle shrugged at the side.

The voices of the two reflected the confusion of the audience.

What is going on?

Why does Himeko have that ’as expected’ expression?

Is Misha not just a tool character?

The audience, who were eagerly waiting for the inheritance reveal, also widened their eyes.On screen.

Himeko explained: ”Do you remember Clockie that only Stelle could see?”

”Of course, but Welt and you, Himeko, can also see him.”

March 7th was puzzled.

”Hehe, looks like everyone on the Astral Express has a very childlike heart!”

Clockie added from the side.

”That’s right, [garbled text].”

Himeko reminded: ”At least Miss Firefly and Miss Acheron cannot see Clockie. And in Dreamflux Reef, except for us, no one else ever had any interaction with Clockie, even though sometimes he followed right behind Stelle.”

”A memetic lifeform that only certain people can see—it’s almost like... a secret letter left by someone to the Nameless.”

After Himeko finished speaking, March 7th’s thoughts became clearer.

But she immediately thought of a doubt: ”But in that case, Misha can also see Clockie? They even grew up together as good partners, but Misha hasn’t embarked on the path of the Trailblazer yet...”

”That’s the key. Just like Clockie, in reality, Misha also never interacted with anyone outside the express crew.”

Himeko replied with a smile.

”Ah?!”

March 7th finally realized.

And in this exchange, countless viewers outside the screen also exclaimed just like March 7th.

”Yes, I am a dreamer, like a memetic lifeform.”

”I was supposed to wait in the dream bubble for your arrival, but reality and memory overlapped, causing me to unconsciously push open the door [garbled text].”

Misha explained softly.

”So the empty dream bubble left by the Clockmaker isn’t empty because there’s nothing inside, but because the contents left on their own?”

”The whistle you heard was at the moment when [garbled text]?”

After March 7th finished speaking,

The chat exploded.

——

: Bro?! Misha tricked us into thinking he was a person! Damn!

: Damn! Who would have thought, Misha is the inheritance! The inheritance grew legs and ran away on its own!

: Wow, this is so brilliant, and all the previous foreshadowing makes sense now.

: So Mikhail really did leave an inheritance. The inheritance is Clockie, Misha, and that Princess Mirror?

: Sorry, I apologize to Misha, but who would have thought of this? Damn.

: Wait, I’m even more confused now. Misha said he’s a kind of memetic lifeform, but the first time we met Misha was in the real world’s hotel!

: It can’t be a bug. I no longer believe MiHoYo’s writing would have such a bug! Could it be a unique feature of dreamers?

: In a way, this is truly exploratory. As expected of the inheritance left by the Nameless predecessors, even ran out on its own to explore...

: Amazing, all the previous foreshadowing and Misha’s strange behavior have been fully recovered, bravo!

: Damn it, if Misha is the inheritance, then I have to change my thinking. Will the express crew take Misha away later? Sunday bye-bye?

——

The twist of collecting all the foreshadowing made the viewers feel as refreshed as drinking a cold beer in midsummer.
