I just wanted you to make a movie: You made a Honkai Star Rail movie

The audience was speechless.

The legacy meant Mikhail was truly dead.

And now, they didn’t even know whether to feel joy at the mention of that legacy, or to mourn Mikhail’s death.

That phrase—

”A legacy meant solely for trailblazing.”

Made many viewers tear up without warning.

At this point, among all the heroes who liberated Penacony in the Dreamscape’s past, only the ”thirteen-year-old” Gallagher remained alive.

-------------------------------------------

In the silent atmosphere.

Himeko and Welt didn’t need to say anything.

Even the usually quirky March 7th and Stelle quietly gazed at the nameless tombstone.

A certain emotion was brewing within the two nameless newcomers.

They couldn’t quite describe what they were feeling.

After all, Mikhail Char Legwork, when it came down to it, was just a vague figure to them.

The connection between Stelle and March 7th with him was merely nominal.

A predecessor they only knew by name.

He wasn’t like Welt or Himeko—people who could be clearly fixed in memory, whose names conjured vivid images.

So.

At this moment, facing the predecessor’s tombstone, the emotions rising in March 7th and Stelle’s hearts were also very indistinct.

And in the original game’s storyline, MiHoYo’s handling of this was top-notch.

Unlike many game plots that force drama just to elicit tears, desperate to spark tragedy at the slightest turn, here, there were not many lines.

Only Gallagher’s own monologue.

The entire express crew maintained a respectful silence.

They didn’t even appear particularly sad.

That’s a normal reaction.

And yet, with the atmosphere and simple soundtrack, the environment became imbued with a kind of mystery.

The visuals, the camera work—these forms of expression beyond words deeply drew in the viewers’ emotions and thoughts.

It didn’t scatter the focus or provoke doubts like: ”Why aren’t they sad?” or ”Why should I be sad?”

And all of this was building up for that Dream Bubble.

And the audience of the series, having already seen the ”Past” in advance,

And just having experienced an emotional moment during Gallagher’s talk about inheritance, were already emotionally charged.

So now, faced with this silent atmosphere, they felt exactly the same way.

This is why MiHoYo’s storytelling has depth—or why it’s so satisfying after experiencing it.

Because of all these subtle yet thoughtfully crafted details.

...

On screen, Gallagher looked at Mikhail’s nameless tombstone and softly said, ”Now, I’ve kept my promise and brought the people of the Astral Express you’ve yearned to see once again for your whole life.”

”I don’t know why you could never forget that express, but I still remember what you said before you passed away.”

At this point, Gallagher left a bit of suspense, then said with a faint, relieved smile: ”Don’t let us down, old man.”

The next moment, the platform beneath them suddenly began to shake.

It was steadily rising.

And its destination was right opposite the tombstone—that structure glowing with a strange blue light.

The tallest building in Dreamflux Reef—a garden.

”Go on up. His final stop... is in the garden ahead.”

”The Watchmaker, Mikhail Char Legwork.”

Gallagher stepped aside, giving way.

Himeko hesitated for a moment, then stepped forward onto the stairs.

The rest of the crew followed their navigator up.

The staircase wasn’t long—within the blink of an eye, they had arrived.

In the lush, green garden, they saw only a high-backed chair, and the person sitting in it.

An elderly man, frail but still impeccably dressed.

His head tilted to the side, arms cradling a Dream Bubble, and his hat covered his eyes—it was as if he had simply fallen asleep.

...

: QAQ

: Mikhail... are you really gone?

: Seeing the aged Mikhail, I suddenly just couldn’t hold it in.

: What made it even sadder was that the people he long awaited... knew nothing about him.

: All those passionate, tragic, sorrowful stories—completely buried in history, never to be known again.

:No, sob sob, I want to cross over and tell the express crew those things!

...

When this calm old man appeared on camera.

Countless audience viewing through the screen instantly broke into tears.

All the previous anger and various emotions turned into tears that fell down.

Because they were witnessing something even more heartbreaking than life and death partings:

watching a hero suffer injustice and die of old age.

Actually, the real tearjerker is yet to come.

But thanks to the kind-hearted Xia Wen, ”Dreams of the Past” successfully stirred the audience’s emotions, and at this point, they couldn’t hold back anymore.

”The dream bubble in his hand contains the legacy of the Trailblazer.”

Gallagher looked on with some anticipation: ”Inside it are encrypted messages belonging to the Trailblazer. I’m afraid no one but you can decode them.”

He explained it to everyone, and was also hopeful.

After all, the current dire situation made even him hope that this legacy might contain a miracle to reverse the tide.

This legacy was destined to be of immense value.

Not just to Himeko and the others.

Even the audience wiped their tears and looked expectantly at the glowing blue bubble.

The members of the express crew didn’t exchange words; after just a brief look among themselves, they decided who would receive the legacy.

It was Stelle.

Usually always silly and carefree, even Stelle now felt a heavy pressure and responsibility.

She took a breath, slowly stepped forward, and touched the dream bubble with her forehead.

The next second.

A black void filled her mind.

Unlike before when viewing a dream bubble—there was no red sun falling into a snowy mountain, no soft laughter, no starlight, no sound of gunshots or blades, and no Trailblazing.

Empty.

It was an empty dream bubble.

Stelle opened her eyes in astonishment and turned to her companions: ”It’s... it’s an empty dream bubble.”

”Huh?”

March 7th covered her mouth: ”How could this be?”

”...”

Himeko furrowed her brows, falling into deep thought.

”Hmph, or rather, just as expected.”

Only Gallagher sighed and shook his head: ”He always had an inexplicable faith in the Nameless. In his arrangements, the Trailblazers always had a place. I don’t know where this confidence came from. After all, when he was alive, he never successfully made contact with the express.”

”The old trickster...”

”To be honest, I didn’t expect you to leave behind any backup plan either.”

Although Gallagher spoke in a complaining tone, the emotion he showed was only sadness and remembrance.

”No, Mr. Gallagher.”

The silent Himeko suddenly spoke firmly: ”There must be content in this dream bubble. We just haven’t deciphered it.”

Gallagher didn’t refute it.

And at this moment, the audience also furrowed their brows, each holding onto their own hopes.

...

: The dream bubble is empty?

: Impossible! No one understands Mikhail better than we do! He must have left something!

: Could it have been stolen?

: By the IPC? Or the family?

: Damn it, why did he have to leave us hanging again at such a crucial time!

...

Just as the audience was buzzing in discussion.

The screen went black.

”10 system hours until the Charmony Festival begins, Reverie Hotel.”

Good grief.

They really ended it right there!

”Damn it, did Mihoyo get infiltrated by cliffhanger maniacs? WTF!”
