Flash Marriage: He is a Wife-pampering Addict

Chapter 2033: Chapter 2032: Let’s Date

Wen Jin felt relieved only after Ou Yihan explained.

He said to Gu Kai, “Aren’t you free now too? Let’s go together.”

“Will it be inconvenient for me to join you?”

Gu Kai teased, his smiling eyes sweeping over Wen Jin and Ou Yihan.

Ou Yihan blushed with embarrassment and was about to speak when Wen Jin glared at Gu Kai and calmly said, “I was on a business trip during Xiaocha’s birthday. If you guys are free, let’s buy her a birthday cake later and make up for it.”

“Ranran and I already celebrated Xiaocha’s birthday.”

Gu Kai explained with a smile.

Ou Yihan was initially surprised, then smiled, “How come I didn’t know when Xiaocha’s birthday is? But didn’t you all have dinner already? Why not celebrate her birthday tomorrow? I have something to discuss with you tonight.”

“What is it?”

Wen Jin looked at Ou Yihan with gentle eyes.

Discussing something with him doesn’t conflict with celebrating Jing Xiaocha’s birthday.

“Let’s talk while walking, don’t make Xiaocha wait too long downstairs.” Gu Kai said, leading the way out of the office, with Wen Jin and Ou Yihan following him.

Gu Kai walked ahead, “You two take the stairs down, finish saying what you need to say and sort out what you need to discuss. I’ll wait downstairs with Xiaocha.”

Clever as Gu Kai, he obviously noticed that Ou Yihan wanted to be alone with Wen Jin.

He didn’t intend to wait downstairs but planned to send Xiaocha home, letting them enjoy a romantic two-person world.

Ou Yihan smiled at Wen Jin, “Are you tired? If not, let’s take the stairs.”

Wen Jin saw that Gu Kai walked quickly, hesitated slightly, then nodded, “Okay.”

Ou Yihan’s smile suddenly became radiant, her joy undisguisedly shown on her delicate, beautiful face.

“You just said you had something to discuss with me. What is it?”

The stairwell was very quiet, apart from Wen Jin and Ou Yihan, there was no one else, so his voice involuntarily softened.

Ou Yihan’s high heels made a crisp sound on the marble steps, and her crisp voice seemed to echo with it, “My birthday is in half a month.”

“When?”

A hint of surprise crossed Wen Jin’s eyes, and a faint smile tugged at his lips.

Ou Yihan looked at Wen Jin slightly dazed, and answered a different question, “Wen Jin, do you remember how many days we’ve known each other?”

“I don’t remember.”

Wen Jin answered honestly. He didn’t like to keep track of such things.

Ou Yihan felt a small disappointment in her heart, then suddenly smiled brightly, “Actually, I don’t remember either, but we should have known each other for more than three months. I feel happy being with you, how about you?”

Wen Jin’s eyes flickered slightly.

He withdrew his gaze, avoiding Ou Yihan’s shining eyes.

Ou Yihan neither needed his answer, she continued smiling and talking, “I think being with you is still alright, at least you don’t seem bothered. I swapped shifts with a colleague for my birthday, so I can take a few days off.”

Wen Jin didn’t speak, just listened quietly.

At the corner of the stairs, Ou Yihan stopped, looked up at Wen Jin’s handsome features, and saw her reflection in his Mo Yu-like eyes.

She suddenly wondered if he had her silhouette in his heart.

“Why did you stop talking?”

Wen Jin was briefly changed under Ou Yihan’s beautiful gaze, his mouth twitched, and he asked warmly.

Ou Yihan blinked, “Wen Jin, have you ever been in love?”

Her topics were very jumpy tonight, one unfinished and she moved to another.

Wen Jin didn’t know if he was somewhat out of rhythm or wanted to avoid her sensitive questions.

He was silent for a few seconds before shaking his head, “No.”

Ou Yihan’s eyes bloomed with a bright smile, she suddenly reached out and held his arm, “Wen Jin, let’s date. We’ve been ordinary friends for a few months now, I think we could try taking it further.”

The past few months, they really were just ordinary friends.

Because they hadn’t even held hands once.

The only moment of intimacy was at Jin Yunchang’s birthday banquet, she held his arm as they entered the hall. Later, Jin Fengjiao provoked, and Wen Jin wrapped his arm around her waist.

Other than that, there was no behavior that counted as between lovers.

A hint of surprise flashed deep in Wen Jin’s eyes, and Ou Yihan’s gentle voice sounded in front of him, “I said before, if you don’t end up liking me, I won’t bother you, this promise is always valid. On my birthday, accompany me on a holiday, let’s give it a try.”

A girl, confessing to a boy she likes.

So bold and straightforward.

Wen Jin couldn’t avoid it, at that moment, he hesitated, wondering whether to reject or accept Ou Yihan’s proposal.

People thought they were dating, in a passionate romance. Even Jing Xiaocha had asked him if he liked Ou Yihan.

However, did he truly like this girl in front of him, willing to date her, even willing to be with her forever?

Ou Yihan wasn’t bad at all, as he’d said, she had a good personality, understood people well, wasn’t clingy, and was gentle and considerate.

Ranran had also met Ou Yihan a few times. Ranran said she hoped he could be happy.

Ranran, like everyone else, thought he liked Ou Yihan, dating her, and that she might become her sister-in-law someday.

“If you don’t want Ranran to know, then hurry up and find someone to date and marry…”

As these words echoed in his ears, Wen Jin’s expression slightly changed.

Ou Yihan had been staring intently at Wen Jin, not missing any subtle changes in his expression, seeing the hesitation in his eyes, her heart inevitably sank.

A feeling called disappointment spread from her heart, she forced a smile, pretended to be nonchalant, and said, “You don’t have to answer me right now, just as long as you answer me by my birthday.”

There’s still half a month, she’s willing to wait for him to think it over.

When they reached the first floor, the lobby had only Gu Kai, without Jing Xiaocha’s presence.

“Ah Kai, where’s Xiaocha?”

Wen Jin asked, puzzled.

Gu Kai raised an eyebrow and smiled, “You guys move slower than snails, Xiaocha already went home, she said she suddenly got inspired and hurried back.”

“Why didn’t you escort her?”

Wen Jin frowned with displeasure, concerned about Jing Xiaocha’s injured arm, thinking how careless Gu Kai was in looking after people.

Gu Kai was slightly unhappy when questioned, a hint of annoyance appeared on his handsome face, “By the time I came down, she was already gone. I called her and she told me. She also asked me to tell you not to worry, the injury on her arm would heal in a few days.”

Ou Yihan was also surprised that Jing Xiaocha left on her own, and she said self-reproachfully, “Looks like we took too long, and Xiaocha got tired of waiting. If you’re worried, why don’t you call her, or we could go to her house now.”

“No need, her arm injury is fine.”

Wen Jin shook his head, Jing Xiaocha probably didn’t want to disturb him and Ou Yihan.
