Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 185: Chapter 179: Sky Dragon

”Big Brother.”

Lillian lifted her head, her eyes sparkling with a light she had never shown before.

”Can I... have them?”

”They’re already yours.”

Raylo said with a smile.

The moment the two young dragons approached Lillian on their own, Raylo had decided to give the two Red Ridge Flying Dragons to her.

The other six blue Sky Dragons were much more lively and active.

They took a keen interest in the two ”uninvited guests” on the hatching platform.

A bold Sky Dragon, copying Moonlight, butted Coal Ball’s rear with its head.

Caught off guard, Coal Ball was nearly knocked over, which drew cheerful chirps from the other little Flying Dragons.

Meanwhile, Moonlight was being pestered by another Sky Dragon.

The little one seemed to mistake Moonlight’s long, silvery-white tail for some kind of interesting toy, chasing the tip, pouncing and biting at it.

At first, Moonlight tried to maintain its matriarchal authority, merely flicking its tail in annoyance.

But the little thing was persistent. With a sudden pounce, it latched right onto Moonlight’s tail.

The noble Moonlight’s composure instantly broke. It thrashed its big tail, trying to shake off the ”pendant,” and the scene descended into chaos.

Watching this utter chaos, Raylo wasn’t angry at all. On the contrary, he was in high spirits.

These eight Flying Dragons were the most valuable spoils from Eagle’s Sorrow Castle. They represented the future air supremacy of Black Stone Territory.

The two Red Ridge Flying Dragons would become Lillian’s greatest allies.

And in time, these six Sky Dragons would be the mounts for a new generation of Dragon Knights.

He walked over to Moonlight and plucked the tail-pendant right off.

The little one flapped its wings in his hands, looking quite indignant.

”Alright, stop messing around.”

Raylo placed the little Flying Dragon back on the platform and patted Moonlight’s head reassuringly.

Moonlight straightened its ruffled fur, bared its teeth at the little ones, then leaped onto Raylo’s shoulder with a cat-like gait and nuzzled his cheek with its head.

Coal Ball, meanwhile, seized the opportunity for revenge. It quietly crept up behind the Sky Dragon that had butted it earlier and opened its mouth. A miniature spatial vortex formed within, on the verge of sucking the other’s tail in.

”Coal Ball!”

Exasperated, Raylo stopped his Minister of Logistics’s prank.

Caught red-handed, Coal Ball sulkily closed its mouth, and the small spatial vortex dissipated.

It shot Raylo an aggrieved look, shuffled on its short legs to hide behind Moonlight, then peeked its little head out to make a face at the Sky Dragon that had nearly met with disaster.

The hatchery was still a scene of utter chaos.

Eight energetic young dragons were filled with endless curiosity about everything in this world.

They chased and wrestled with each other, announcing their presence with fledgling draconic roars.

This small space was clearly no longer big enough for them.

”Alright, everyone settle down.”

Raylo clapped his hands, trying to get the little ones’ attention, but to little effect.

Lillian was completely immersed in her interaction with the two Red Ridge Flying Dragons.

She sat cross-legged on the floor, letting the two little things nuzzle around in her lap. They would occasionally stick out their tender pink tongues to lick her fingers, leaving a warm, wet sensation.

The smile on her face was brighter and more radiant than ever before, as if all the light in the hatchery had gathered upon her.

Watching his sister, Raylo’s heart softened.

He turned and gave an order to the Personal Guard outside the door.

”Go find the two largest and sturdiest bamboo baskets you can, and line them with some soft hay and cloth.”

”Yes, Lord!”

The Personal Guard accepted the order and hurried away.

Soon, two large bamboo baskets were carried in.

Raylo personally took charge, grabbing the six lively Sky Dragons one by one and placing them into one of the baskets.

The little ones were not content. As soon as they were put inside, they tried to climb out, flapping their wings nonstop and chirping in protest.

Moonlight leaped down from Raylo’s shoulder, walked to the edge of the basket, and let out a low growl at the little Flying Dragons poking their heads out.

The sound wasn’t loud, but it carried a trace of a Giant Dragon’s authority.

The six Sky Dragons, which had been raising a ruckus just a moment ago, instantly fell silent. They huddled at the bottom of the basket, staring at the matriarch with wide, innocent eyes.

Raylo shook his head with a laugh. ’Looks like Moonlight has successfully established its authority.’

On the other side, Lillian carefully picked up the two Red Ridge Flying Dragons and personally placed them in the other basket, which was lined with hay.

These two little ones were very well-behaved. As soon as they were in the basket, they snuggled together, nuzzling their heads against Lillian’s hand and letting out contented purrs from their throats.

”Let’s go outside. Let them see the sun too,”

Raylo said.

The group left the stuffy hatchery and arrived at the central plaza of Eagle’s Sorrow Castle.

The afternoon sun was warm and gentle. The eight young dragons, seeing such a vast world for the first time, all seemed a little excited. They poked their heads out of the baskets, curiously surveying their surroundings.

Soldiers gathered to watch from a distance, pointing at the legendary creatures with faces full of awe and amazement.

Just then, Ed came running hurriedly from the other side of the castle.

”Lord!”

Ed ran up to Raylo, gave a standard military salute, and reported in a loud, clear voice.

”We’ve discovered falcon nests used for breeding hunting falcons on the cliffs behind Eagle’s Sorrow Castle!”

Raylo raised an eyebrow, his interest piqued.

”Oh? What did you find?”

”A major discovery!”

Ed’s eyes were shining.

”We’ve taken stock! In the nests, there are not only twelve well-trained adult hunting falcons, but also... also twenty-seven fledgling falcons squawking for food! We’ve also secured the falconers!”

This news invigorated Raylo.

After finishing his report, Ed’s gaze was drawn to the two large baskets at Raylo’s feet.

When he got a clear look at the creatures peeking out from inside, he froze. His jaw dropped.

”Th-this is...”

Ed said in astonishment.

”Dragons?”

”...Eight? Eight young dragons?”

Ed sucked in a sharp breath. The look in his eyes as he gazed at Raylo had transformed from respect to fanatical adoration.

Since following Raylo to Black Stone Territory, he had witnessed too many miracles.

In his heart, his Lord was undoubtedly a chosen one, favored by fate itself.

”Congratulations, my Lord!”

Ed shouted sincerely, his voice filled with excitement.

”The rise of Black Stone Territory is just around the corner!”

Hearing their captain’s shout and seeing the magical Flying Dragon hatchlings, the surrounding soldiers felt their hearts swell with pride and a shared sense of glory.

For a moment, the plaza erupted with thunderous cheers.

Raylo’s army rested at Eagle’s Sorrow Castle for a day.

The next morning, the troops set out on the road back to Panshi Castle.
