Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 180: Chapter 149_2: The Beginning of the Scandal

Zhou Yun only then realized that Jiang Yuzhen had such an old habit.

At night, ten o’clock, Zhou Yun finished work and took a car back to the hotel.

In the hotel lobby, she saw a very stylish and opulent woman.

It seemed that the woman recognized her. Upon seeing her, she greeted with a smile, ”Miss Zhou.”

Zhou Yun looked at her with surprise and confusion, ”Hello, may I ask who you are?”

”Zuo Jing, Luo Zhiqiu.” This beautiful woman extended her slender hand, with a smile that seemed unassailable.

Zhou Yun had no choice but to reach out and shook her hand.

After two seconds, Zhou Yun suddenly realized and looked at her in astonishment, ”Are you Song Chi’s boss?”

Luo Zhiqiu’s smile deepened, she nodded and said, ”It’s better if you know me, Miss Zhou. Shall we have a drink together?”

Zhou Yun didn’t know why Luo Zhiqiu would suddenly show up or why she wanted to have drinks with her.

Very strange.

”President Luo, do you have something to tell me? I can’t really drink because of filming.” Zhou Yun said, ”You can talk to me directly if you have something to say.”

Luo Zhiqiu glanced at Zheng Xiaojue without saying a word.

Zhou Yun said to Zheng Xiaojue: ”Xiaoju, you go back to the room first.”

Zheng Xiaojue responded with an ”Oh” and left as told.

Luo Zhiqiu then said to Zhou Yun: ”Let’s change the place then. Standing here with people coming and going is not convenient to talk.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”To your room?” asked Luo Zhiqiu.

Zhou Yun said okay.

In the room, Luo Zhiqiu didn’t beat around the bush and got straight to the point, ”I don’t know if Miss Zhou has ever thought about coming to Zuo Jing?”

In the elevator on the way up, Zhou Yun had already thought of several guesses as to why Luo Zhiqiu would come to her, but she never expected it to be for this reason.

”President Luo, I have already signed with a company.” Zhou Yun said. Of course, that was stating the obvious. Zhou Yun believed that Luo Zhiqiu must already know that she had a company.

But Zhou Yun was somewhat stunned for the moment and needed to catch her breath.

Even stating the obvious had its use.

Luo Zhiqiu nodded and said, ”I know, but, I can cover your contract termination fee, as long as you’re willing to come to Zuo Jing.”

Zhou Yun wondered, was her contract termination fee that cheap?

Couldn’t be.

She was now the most profitable female artist at Chengqian Entertainment.

How could He Yong let her go.

This didn’t need to be said to Luo Zhiqiu.

Zhou Yun said, ”President Luo, why would you suddenly think of inviting me to Zuo Jing? I’m quite happy at my current company.”

”Really? Happy? The news I’ve heard seems to say otherwise. You haven’t been enjoying the treatment you should have at Chengqian Entertainment, right?” Luo Zhiqiu said with a hint of certainty in her slight smile, ”I heard that you were forced by the company to shoot ’Eighth Heartbeat’.”

How could Luo Zhiqiu know about this?

Was it Song Chi who told her?

No, it shouldn’t be, Song Chi wouldn’t do such a thing.

Zhou Yun said, ”President Luo, there might be some misunderstanding.”

Zhou Yun wouldn’t go around saying she didn’t want to shoot a movie she had already finished.

Luo Zhiqiu said, ”It’s okay if you don’t admit it. However, my invitation is serious. You have the potential to become a star and you have the acting skills. Your future is limitless. Do you really want to waste your prime time at Chengqian Entertainment? Your boss He Yong, I know him and have had dealings with him. I understand his style very well. He has the eye for talent, but not the ability to keep people. As you know, in the past two years there has been a significant loss of artists from Chengqian, yet you still haven’t been given the attention you deserve. Your development is limited. Taking quick commerce businesses and shooting a bad film like ’Eighth Heartbeat’ is merely consuming your popularity and brings you no benefits. The ’Heart Inquiry’ you’re currently filming was introduced by Song Chi, and it’s also produced by us at Zuo Jing.”

Zhou Yun fell into silence.

What Luo Zhiqiu said was actually true.

”Look, Song Chi is also an artist under Zuo Jing. If you come to Zuo Jing, you will receive our strongest support. Every year we will tailor-make shows for you. Does the large group Chengqian in their film department tailor-make anything for you? I think they’re currently focusing all their main energy on Wei Ru Xue’s ’Spring Cold’. To tell you the truth, not to instigate discord, but for an artist at your level, the next step is a major leap. With a push, you could definitely enter the top level. There’s no movement in your company, which surprises me. Do they view you as a short-term money-making machine?”

Zhou Yun said, ”President Luo, it’s no use telling me all this.”

”How can it be useless? Just nod and come to Zuo Jing, believe me, I only need three years to make you one of the top three candidates for the lead actress in all the major productions in the country. Zuo Jing has this capability.” Luo Zhiqiu said, ”My sincerity is serious. Think about it. This is my business card. If you’re interested, contact me.”

She placed her business card on the table and tapped the surface gently with her index finger.

”It’s getting late, I won’t disturb you any more, good night.”

Luo Zhiqiu left on her own.

Zhou Yun stayed in the room still somewhat at a loss.

The whole thing happened too suddenly.

Zhou Yun thought it over alone for quite some time, then suddenly, her phone rang.

It was a message from Luo Zhiqiu: I haven’t told Song Chi about this yet. I hope to give him a surprise, so please keep it a secret, too. Here’s my number, you can contact me anytime. Luo Zhiqiu.

Zhou Yun held her phone, her head lowered in thought.

Suddenly the phone rang again, this time it was a call from Song Chi.

Zhou Yun answered the call.

”Hello? Why are you looking for me so late?”

Song Chi said, ”Your assistant told me that Luo Zhiqiu came to see you?”

Zhou Yun was surprised for a moment, ”Yes, she did. She just left. She was just in my room.”
