Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2094: Chapter 2092: I’m Begging You

Bai Ruozhu originally didn’t plan to give such a young child poison, but couldn’t resist Little Dengdeng’s pleading, and finally gave some of the safest sleeping powder. Although the sleeping powder’s effects were quick, they could only make someone faint for a quarter of an hour, so she wasn’t worried about Dengdeng misusing them on our people.

Fortunately, apart from using hot spring water to wash his little brother’s dirty diapers, Dengdeng handled other things quite reliably and wouldn’t use drugs to test on his family.

Jianqi looked at Dengdeng, feeling pain in his heart for how sensible the child was. Clearly scared, yet afraid he would worry, he managed a smile.

”Close your eyes, it will be over quickly,” Jianqi said.

”I’m fine, I want to protect my little brothers!” Little Dengdeng said firmly.

Jianqi said no more, quickly sent a signal flare, then darted into the Peach Forest.

While escaping towards the Peach Forest, Bai Ruozhu’s body trembled, causing her to momentarily lose focus and fail to notice the arrow shot from behind. Fen Jizhi hurriedly pushed her, allowing her to narrowly avoid disaster.

With a puff, the arrow pierced flesh. She quickly turned her head and saw Fen Jizhi was hit in the shoulder trying to save her.

”I’m fine, go quickly!” Fen Jizhi quickly said.

Bai Ruozhu couldn’t afford to be distracted any longer; she had to survive first to protect her family and children.

”That signal?” Fen Jizhi also noticed the signal flare.

”It’s from my subordinates. The Second Elder sent people to seize my children.” Bai Ruozhu’s heart sank to rock bottom. ”But the signal means they left the Diaojiao Building; they seem to have escaped into the Peach Forest.”

Fen Jizhi was shocked, ”Then quick, we might be able to catch up to them.”

Bai Ruozhu nodded. She had already decided, even if it meant revealing her greatest secret later, she was determined to send the three children into the space.

Early this morning, the whole family was supposed to go to the Parliament Hall. Bai Ruozhu worried the three kids would be too troublesome, so she left Nanny Zhang and Jianqi at the Diaojiao Building to care for them. Lin Ping’er, worried they couldn’t manage, brought her newborn son to the Parliament Hall.

Now, she didn’t know how her mother was doing.

Bai Ruozhu couldn’t afford distractions, she rushed into the Peach Forest and began searching carefully for traces of Dengdeng and the others.

The children had a milky scent. Her sense of smell was keen, finding them shouldn’t be difficult. But first, she needed to shake off those following behind, otherwise, the children would be in even greater danger.

Thinking of this, she scattered plenty of poison along the way; there’s no way everyone chasing them could have taken Cangluo Puti. Previously they shot arrows from afar, and she couldn’t deal with them, but as long as they passed by where the poison was scattered, they would surely be poisoned.

Fortunately, she had stocked up plenty of poisons in the space regularly, and now she was throwing them out like money was no object.

Fen Jizhi’s eyelids twitched watching her, thinking how terrifying it was she carried so much poison, glad he hadn’t offended this woman.

Finally, the pursuers dwindled. Many poisoned people collapsed in the distance, either unconscious or temporarily lost their inner strength.

”Follow me,” Bai Ruozhu entered the Peach Forest but dared not throw more poison stuff; she feared Jianqi and the others might pass by her trail and be knocked down by it.

Soon, she heard footsteps ahead, but not a few people, more like a large group.

She quickly signaled to Fen Jizhi, clearly the ones pursuing Jianqi and the others.

She gestured, and the two followed quietly, and sure enough, they saw the Second Elder’s men.

Fen Jizhi made a neck-slitting gesture, his figure flashed, suddenly covered the nose and mouth of the last person, and instantly slit their throat.

He gently lowered the person, then quickly looked for the next target. Bai Ruozhu did not show weakness, flicked her fingers, soon two at the end softened and went down. She hurried forward, caught them, and gently laid them down.

In less than a quarter of an hour, the group chasing the children had lost about ten people killed by the two, finally discovered by the leader.

Fen Jizhi was surprised to see the zero head turning and yelling at them, ”Wentian brother, how could you side with the Second Elder?”

Zhao Wentian laughed, ”Why not? My family, being relatives with the Wei Family, has been unable to hold their heads high in the clan for years. Only the Second Elder can promise me a bright future. Once he becomes the clan leader, I’ll be the clan elder.”

”Just for an elder position, you let your conscience be blinded and harm innocent children?” Fen Jizhi showed a painful expression. ”When my father was too busy during my childhood, it was you who taught me martial arts, telling me a man should achieve success and contribute to the clan’s strength. Has it been less than ten years you’ve forgotten your original intention?”

”Hmph, wanting to succeed, there must first be an opportunity. With the Second Elder managing the clan, it will naturally flourish; it doesn’t contradict my original intention at all.” Zhao Wentian said proudly.

”So to achieve your goals, you would harm a few innocent children?” Fen Jizhi’s eyes turned red, to him, Zhao Wentian was like a big brother, a teacher, and a friend, yet now his respected brother Wentian had turned into this.

Zhao Wentian’s expression changed, ”When did I say I was going to kill the children? They’re merely caught to make the third elder and Bai Family yield, preventing further troubles, that’s all.”

Bai Ruozhu scoffed, ”You won’t kill them, but once handed to the Second Elder, can you assure he won’t kill them?”

Zhao Wentian’s eyes flashed, the side quickly reminded him, ”Brother Zhao, stop wasting words with them, as long as we take them down, whether the children are captured or not doesn’t matter, we can still claim first merit.”

Zhao Wentian glanced at Fen Jizhi, ultimately made a gesture, leading them to attack Bai Ruozhu’s group.

But before they could clash with the two, they softened and collapsed.

Bai Ruozhu was shocked, she had used poison too, but the opponents had strong inner strength, how did it take effect so quickly?

She immediately realized, it was the sleeping powder she gave to Dengdeng before. He must have scattered the drug powder along the way, and the opponents had been affected and the effects were taking hold now.

Her heart felt excitement, proud of her son’s intelligence while also aching for him, caught in such danger at a young age.

”Using poison? Despicable!” Zhao Wentian uttered, before fainting.

Bai Ruozhu raised her dagger, and one by one took the lives of those who had fallen unconscious. Daring to seize her children, she wouldn’t show the slightest mercy.

Blood splashed onto her clothes, her hands were covered in blood, along with blood from the wound on her arm, she was practically dyed red, resembling a bloodthirsty Xiuluo from hell.

Finally, she reached Zhao Wentian, just ready to strike, her hand was caught.

”Don’t kill him, I’m begging you,” Fen Jizhi’s voice was helpless, like a child pleading for an adult’s help.

Bai Ruozhu’s heart softened, she withdrew her hand, ”Have you thought, once he wakes, he will surely bring more people to kill us.”
