Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 635: Chapter 637: Too Amazing and Too Foolish

The noblewomen were discussing in pairs and trios about what styles to order. The fashion show had been incredibly persuasive, much more so than the samples in a booklet that they had seen, hence they were especially excited. They were also curious to see just how miraculous Bai Ruozhu’s beauty treatment was.

After Bai Ruozhu, Guizhi, and Lin Ping’er each performed a facial cleaning and massage on one person and applied a face mask, about half an hour had passed.

All three ladies felt immensely relaxed, nearly falling asleep by the time they were done.

”All set now. You should ask someone you know to have a look. See if your skin feels smooth and if it’s become a tad bit fairer.” Bai Ruozhu said with a smile.

The three women sat up and couldn’t resist touching their own faces. A smile was seen on their faces, they could feel the difference. Their skin felt much smoother and finer than before.

The women exchanged looks, all wearing expressions of surprise.

”Your skin wasn’t this fair just now, and you didn’t apply any powder. This is amazing!” One of the ladies exclaimed.

The other two women agreed, and all three of them turned their hopeful eyes to Bai Ruozhu. One of them asked, ”Miss Bai, it must be the mask you used on us that’s so magical. Can you sell some to us?”

Bai Ruozhu smiled at the three women and said, ”It’s not just the mask. The water I used to clean your face is natural hot spring water. You must have noticed the faint smell of sulfur. Moreover, it has to be complemented with professional acupoint massage techniques and a specific method of using the mask to achieve results.”

All three of them understood: she was not selling the mask. And even she did, they wouldn’t be able to reproduce the result.

Seeing their disappointment, Bai Ruozhu quickly added, ”In a few days, I’ll be opening a beauty therapy villa on the outskirts of the city. You can come over once in a while to relax and enhance your beauty”

”Really? You must invite us when you open,” the three ladies exclaimed excitedly.

”Definitely, let’s go out now and give them a surprise,” Bai Ruozhu said, winking at the three ladies. They noticed how radiant Bai Ruozhu’s skin was. They had previously attributed it to her youth, but now they realized it was due to her beauty therapy.

When these three ladies emerged before everyone, it stirred up quite a commotion. Having seen the fashion show, they had been thrilled by the attractive new styles, but now, seeing something that could make them more beautiful and youthful, what woman could remain calm?

Bai Ruozhu noticed Mrs. Li’s face flicker with jealousy. She even deliberately tried to befriend the lucky lady who’d received the free beauty treatment, probably attempting to get more information from her.

She smirked inwardly. Mrs. Li wanted to steal her methods? Unfortunately, she wouldn’t be able to this time. The biggest selling point of her beauty therapy villa was the mud from her spatial pond. That stuff was miraculous. Even Bai Ruozhu couldn’t analyze its composition, so it was impossible for people to steal it and figure out what it was.

”Ladies, my beauty therapy villa will officially open on the 18th. You’re all welcome to visit,” Bai Ruozhu announced with a smile.

Everyone wanted to become beautiful. A few were about to ask Bai Ruozhu for a beauty treatment, but upon hearing her announcement, they swallowed their words. It would only be a matter of days. They could wait.

Among the crowd outside, a tall and slender figure dressed in flamboyant clothes chuckled to himself, muttering, ”Bai Ruozhu is indeed talented.”

Not far away, Xu Huilin felt something was amiss. He turned to see a bright figure disappearing into the crowd. He wanted to follow, but was cautious of Wu Wanqing causing a scene, so he gave up.

”Junior sister, now that the spectacle is over, shall we go?” Xu Huilin raised an eyebrow, ”It’s a pity no major incident occurred. It must’ve disappointed you.”

Wu Wanqing’s hand was clenched tightly in her sleeve. She glared at Xu Huilin, saying, ”Don’t think I can’t cause trouble here.”

”What do you think of Beiyu City? As soon as you take action, I assure you, it won’t be half a day before it’s traced back to you, and even our master won’t be able to protect you.” Xu Huilin squinted his eyes, looking every bit the sly yet dangerous fox.

Wu Wanqing took a deep breath, swallowed her fury, and turned to leave.

By this time, Hua Xiangrong’s models had retreated to the backyard, and the crowd was dispersing in pairs and trios. Xu Huilin caught up with Wu Wanqing and said with a sneer, ”I’ll escort junior sister home.”

”No need!” Wu Wanqing gritted her teeth. She knew Xu Huilin was trying to keep an eye on her.

Before Xu Huilin could say anything else, a coquettish voice came from behind him, ”My dear, I didn’t expect to see you here!”

His body twitched involuntarily. It was that annoying woman, Du Fuling!

Hearing this, Wu Wanqing stopped in curiosity, ”My dear?” A cold smile appeared on her lips as she glanced at Xu Huilin.

Xu Huiling ignored her, turning to look at Du Fuling who had rushed over, he said coldly, ”Miss Du, why are you running around again? I’m accompanying my junior sister, so I have to leave.”

”Oh, using me as a shield?” Wu Wanqing said sarcastically to Xu Huilin. Then she turned to Du Fuling and said politely, ”Miss, please don’t misunderstand. I am a married woman, and I’m not married to my senior brother here.”

Du Fuling smiled. Earlier, she had been so worried and had even disliked the woman with Xu Huilin. But now, upon hearing Wanqing’s words, she suddenly found Wanqing quite amicable.

So, was it that Wu Wanqing was smart, or was Du Fuling just too naive?

Meanwhile Bai Ruozhu excused herself from Lady Meng, saying she had something urgent to attend to and left. If she stayed any longer, these excited ladies would surely drive her mad.

Tu Ying followed her. They were supposed to visit the Zheng Family’s guards to express their gratitude as Bai Ruozhu had gotten word that Captain Zhang had stopped a cart of manure.

As they were leaving, Tu Ying spotted Xu Huilin, tugging at Bai Ruozhu’s sleeve she said, ”Isn’t that your friend, sir Xu, and his junior sister over there?”

Looking over, Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but laugh. Du Fuling was also there, what a coincidence! Though it was interesting to see Du Fuling and Wu Wanqing getting along so well, while Xu Huilin stood disapprovingly on the side.

”Let’s go over and take a look,” Bai Ruozhu suggested, linking arms with Tu Ying and walking towards the trio.

Last time, Wa San overheard Xu Huilin and Wu Wanqing’s argument. Clearly, they had a falling out. So, it was unlikely that Xu Huilin accompanied Wu Wanqing to enjoy the festivities here. Their presence probably meant...

She shot Wu Wanqing a cold look and gave Xu Huilin a grateful smile when he noticed her.

But before she could say anything, Tu Ying suddenly said, ”Sir Xu, I’ve heard a lot about your martial arts skills. Would you be willing to spar a bit with me?”
