Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 625: Chapter 627 The Letter That Makes Ruozhu Tremble

”Fortunately, the guard Liu stopped them, or else it would have gone worse.” Fusa, furrowing her eyebrows, continued, ”Afterwards, they made such a scene in the store, claiming that our shop was taking advantage of customers and looking down on the wife of a common household like her. As a result, our business for the entire afternoon was ruined by them.”

Bai Zehao, incensed, interjected, ”I will also go to the store in the coming days. If we encounter such a shrewish woman again, we will report her to the authorities, and we will put an end to her nuisance.”

Bai Ruozhu responded, ”Elder brother, you and Uncle Zhang still have to busy yourselves with soup and noodles matter. You should spend more time with sister-in-law, so you don’t have to worry about this. Moreover, if she wants to create trouble, let it be. If they are foolish enough to cause such commotion repeatedly, nobody will believe their words after a while.”

”Eh?” Lin Ping’er looked at her daughter in surprise, ”Are we just going to let it go?” She found this quite out of character for Ruozhu.

Bai Ruozhu gave a smile at her mother and said, ”In the future, when our enterprise becomes more significant, we will encounter such things. If we entangle ourselves with such trivial characters every time, would we not end up delaying our major plans? Since Yun Xiaorong is behind this, we should attack the actual problem. We will ensure that Yun Xiaorong does not get up again.”

Everyone in the room turned their attention to Bai Ruozhu. Fusa’s eyes lit up, asking, ”Ruozhu, have you already planned?”

Bai Ruozhu nodded and said, ”Starting tomorrow, we will send out invitations on behalf of Hua Xiangrong to invite all the ladies to a press conference displaying our new products on the day of ’Dragon Raises its Head’ in February. At that time, we will showcase our new designs and patterns. I will publicise it widely, so even if Yun Xiaorong copies our patterns, the customers can discern the truth.”

Everyone felt that this plan was not bad and might even help Hua Xiangrong’s business to achieve a new level.

Lin Ping’er, upon hearing this, expressed her dissatisfaction, ”But this does not hurt Yun Xiaorong much, does it?”

Bai Ruozhu’s lips curled up slightly, ”No worries, another opportunity will arise. We just have to bide our time. We must keep some strategies at our disposal.”

Lin Ping’er seemed to understand but was not entirely sure, but she believed that her daughter could handle this matter correctly.

Subsequently, Bai Ruozhu told her family about the acquisition of the shop. The previously indignant mood in the room dissolved instantly, and the faces of everyone in the room showed delight.

”I wanted to discuss with everyone how to manage the shop. Shall we continue the business of selling ready-made clothes, or lease it out?” Bai Ruozhu asked with a smile.

She actually intends to continue the business of selling ready-made clothes. She observed the business there was pretty good, with a stable customer base. It seemed a waste not to carry on the business.

However, she is not alone now. She prefers to discuss with her family, let everyone express their opinions, and have a say in this matter.

”How is the business of the shop? If it’s good, we should continue it. It is definitely more profitable than renting it out,” Lin Ping’er was the first to speak.

Guizhi nodded in agreement, ”I agree with mother’s opinion. And, if we have a ready-made clothes shop, we can save a lot of money on clothes in the future.”

Everyone burst into laughter upon hearing this, teasing Guizhi for wanting to dress up nicely.

Bai Yihong and Bai Zehao also agreed, Bai Ruozhu nodded in response, ”Then we will continue running the shop. We can take over the supplier, shopkeeper, shop assistants and embroiderer. However, we need someone to manage it, to make daily rounds and such. Any idea who can spare the time?”

Fusa definitely had no time as she was fully committed to managing Hua Xiangrong. Wan Caiyue was also not suitable as her health condition did not allow her to travel back and forth. As for Lin Ping’er and Fang Guizhi, they would probably find it difficult to manage a team of old employees.

Everyone was looking at each other, and none dared to volunteer casually.

”Why not we leave it to elder brother to manage? Elder brother, you have to run the shop well. In future, it will be a wedding gift for my nephew,” Bai Ruozhu cheerfully proposed to her elder brother.

Bai Zehao seemed dumbfounded at first, then rapidly declined, ”No, no, I still need to help Uncle Zhang to handle the noodle soup matter.”

Zhang Liliang laughed and said, ”Ruozhu is letting you learn from me for a while. I think you have almost learned everything by now. A master can lead a student to the door, but learning still falls upon the individual. Managing the ready-made clothes shop would also be a training for you.”

Bai Ruozhu nodded, ”Uncle Zhang is right, elder brother, you must work hard.”

Bai Yihong and Lin Ping’er looked at each other and both revealed gratified smiles.

Truth to be told, their most significant worries weren’t about Bai Zepei or Bai Ruozhu. It’s a well-established fact that Ruozhu knows how to make money, Zepei has prospects beyond measure as he would become an officer in the future. Their worries lay with Zehao, whose future remains unsure.

Not that Bai Zehao lacked abilities or talent, it’s just that Zepei and Ruozhu outshone him significantly.

Now, Bai Ruozhu without a second thought, handed over the shop to her elder brother. Bai Zehao and his wife now had another source of income, easing Bai Yihong and his wife’s worries.

In the following days, the family was busy. Hua Xiangrong needed to send out invitation cards and arrange all matters concerning the press conference. On the other hand, the newly rented shop also needed decorating. Meanwhile, Zhang Liliang accompanied Bai Zehao to the ready-made clothes shop, guiding him to help him get things organized as soon as possible.

Lin Ping’er and Guizhi were also not idle as they had to continue their crochet work.

As such, Bai Ruozhu felt even more the need for extra hands. After giving it some thought, she decided to teach simple crochet skills to La Mei, allowing her to help with some custom orders.

La Mei was initially overwhelmed, but she knew this was her mistress’s sign of trust. She hurriedly raised her hand in a gesture of pledge, assuring that she would not disclose the skills she learned and would not disappoint her mistress.

Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but laugh. This girl was genuinely amusing.

Within the blink of an eye, a week had passed. Everything was proceeding in an orderly manner except for one thing - there was no response to Jiang Yichun’s letter.

Bai Ruozhu was somewhat worried, considering seeking Xu Huilin to inquire, but she found it inappropriate. She reckoned perhaps Jiang Yichun was still on the boat, or was with a covert operation that he could not send letters randomly.

Just as Bai Ruozhu was lost in her thoughts, her brother, Bai Zepei, brought back a letter from the Meng Residence. Bai Ruozhu, upon receiving the letter, lighted up her eyes, unable to hide her excitement.

Bai Zepei shook his head slightly and sighed, ”Indeed, the daughter does not stay.”

Bai Ruozhu was too engrossed to mind his mockery, she quickly opened the envelope and took out the light page of the letter inside.

However, her face immediately turned pale as she read the contents of the letter. Her hand, holding the letter, started to tremble and almost let go of the letter.

”Little sister, what happened?” Bai Zepei noticed her abnormality and asked anxiously.
