Chapter 1662  Test In The Lyttelton Family

Greyʼs fighting technique was unique, the three elements which he has shown has been used perfectly, and even when he used the inscription, he was also very precise with it. The battle hasnʼt been more than a minute and Greyʼs grandfather was already more than impressed with his battle sense. Boom! Bam!

The fight continued on the platform. The inscriptions used by the Lyttelton Family were not only stronger, but it was also faster, just like a regular attack, it came almost instantaneously.

Grey didnʼt make any rash moves, he was fascinated by the way the inscriptions of the Elders from the Lyttelton Family looked, and the attack power they packed was shocking. From what he could tell, their inscriptions allowed them to have a greater attack power compared to their normal elemental attacks. Heʼs aware that inscriptions could get to the level of the Incribers normal elemental attacks, but he didnʼt know that thereʼs a way he could make his inscription attacks stronger than his original elemental attacks. The thought of attempting it came to mind, but he couldnʼt even wrap his head around how it was even possible, so he focused on the battle once again. Even though he was curious about the inscriptions, he knew that if he was careless, he might be seriously injured here. With their level of cultivation, any mistake might be deadly to their sparring partner. The two Elders didnʼt take Grey as someone from the younger generation, they attacked ruthlessly. Grey was calm and collected, even under the bombardment from them, he didnʼt show any signs of panic as he blocked and dodged the attacks while also looking for a good opportunity to counterattack. ”If you continue fighting in this manner, Iʼll send you out.” Greyʼs grandfather said firmly, his voice echoing in the arena. This was the first time he was seeing Grey battle, but he could tell that Grey wasnʼt going all out which he felt was a bit disrespectful to the two Elders who were giving it their all. This alone shows just how freakish Grey was as an Elementalist, even when faced against two veteran masters, he was still able to hold back and unleash his full strength while also carefully studying the attacks of the veterans. When Grey heard his grandfatherʼs words, he couldnʼt help but give a soft cough before finally exploding out with an attack. This time, Greyʼs attack pattern was different, his attack speed was faster and before the two Elders could react, the attack was already before them. With no other choice, they blocked the attack with a powerful ice dome. The ice dome was quite thin, but Grey could see that it is stronger than the usual thick ice both he and Klaus usually uses. ʼThe Lyttelton Family truly are one of the ice specialists in the Aurora Continent.ʼ Grey was slightly in awe of the abilities shown by these Elders. From some of them, he could already tell just how marvelous the Lyttelton Family is. The ice dome in front of the two Elders didnʼt show any signs of cracking, it blocked Greyʼs attack perfectly even though it was rushed. Grey wanted to take another step forward to make a move, but he noticed that he was unable to move his legs. Looking down, he realized that his legs had been frozen to the platform without his knowledge. Fiery flames flared around him, melting away the ice keeping him in the same position, his figure, like a flash, blitzed through the platform as he attacked the duo.

The duo didnʼt sit back and watch, they two moved like a flash as they clashed with Grey repeatedly on the platform, causing sparks to fly around. The intensity of the battle soon got to the stage where even Greyʼs mother was a little worried for Greyʼs safety. Grey was clashing with the attacks of the two Elders, while his attacks were blocked by their thin ice. A minute went by and the intensity didnʼt drop. Greyʼs figure appeared in the sky as he muttered quietly, ”Meteor descent.”

Multiple meteors appeared in the sky as they came crashing down in the two Elders of the Lyttelton Family. The duo exchanged glances, and nodded. They both spread their arms as they both created ice domes, but this time, they overlapped them. With the two ice domes being overlapped, the defense of it was almost doubled. Greyʼs meteor descent was a powerful large-scale attack, but he restricted it to a small area, making the impact of the attack stronger. The meteors came crashing in on the ice dome, but the dome didnʼt break, it was steadfast. Both Elders smiled as they looked at it, and one of them was about to speak when he noticed something strange. Grey was standing in front of the ice dome with a calm smile on his face while his hand was behind his back. That figure was still in the mind of the Elder when he suddenly saw his companion standing in the place Grey was previously standing. For a brief moment, he felt like his eyes were playing tricks on him, but then the horrified look of his companion made him turn around in a haste. Standing behind him was the young man he saw standing outside their ice dome a few moments ago. ”Huh?” He was confused, he tried to comprehend what happened, but it was something he couldnʼt understand. Grey might be famous, but he doesnʼt always use his switch ability, and even though there were people who knew about it, not too many people have experienced it. ”You lose.” Grey spoke softly and the descending meteors stopped. On the platform, an Elder was standing outside an ice dome, shocked by the turn of events, while inside the ice dome, another Elder looked like he had seen a ghost as the young man told him that he had lost the sparring session. ”Impo…” ”Nothingʼs impossible.” Greyʼs grandfather didnʼt let the Elder finish his statement, he looked at Grey with a deep meaningful expression. Grey going against both Elders and easily coming out on top wasnʼt something he predicted. From what he had heard about Grey, he felt even if Grey would defeat them, it would be after a serious battle. The results, however, are completely contrary to his expectations. ”Alright, come with me.” Greyʼs grandfather said to Grey, as much as heʼd like to see to what extent this excellent grandson of his could be pushed, a simple glance at his daughter made him lose the idea. One of the reasons his daughter didnʼt like him that much is due to his obsession to always wanting to know the limit of geniuses and how to fully make them better. Martha seemed to have sensed her fatherʼs gaze and her expression turned cold. She was about to speak when her mother tapped her on the arm and shook her head with a smile. Her motherʼs actions made her pause and reassess the situation, she refrained from speaking, but she didnʼt hide the dissatisfaction in her face when she thought about what her father mightʼve wanted to do to Grey before seeing her face.

Grey didnʼt miss this short exchange from both his grandparents and his mother, he was quite curious why their relationship is this rocky, but seeing how even his father has never tried to tell him about it, he didnʼt bother to even ask his mother. He left the platform and came up to his grandfather, doing exactly as he was told. ”I have an elemental grading stone with me, Iʼd like to see the grades of your elements to know how to better train you.” Greyʼs grandfather brought out a stone and placed it in front of Grey, his intention was clear. Grey, however didnʼt know what to do, itʼs fine with his parents and friends, but given the relationship between his mother and grandfather, he didnʼt believe sheʼd want him to know that he not only has all eight elements available to them, but also very high elemental grades. He took a glance at his mother inquiringly. At first, Martha didnʼt really see a problem with it, but then it clicked.

ʼDad canʼt find out about this!ʼ Grey has eight elements, and all eight have very high grades, she didnʼt dare to imagine what her father would put Grey through if he finds out that he has such abilities. ”Father, heʼs only here to learn about our familyʼs inscriptions, itʼs fine if you donʼt want to teach him, whatʼs the use of all these tests?” She questioned coldly. ”I only want to know what methods heʼll take to be able to learn the right use of inscriptions, and his elemental grades will play a huge part in how heʼs able to control and also the power he can make use of with each elemental inscription.” Greyʼs grandfather explained.

”Teach him what you know, if you donʼt want to, Iʼll take him and leave.” Martha will never allow her father to find out her sonʼs secret.
