Chapter 1652  Interrogating The Birds

Grey ensured that the Late stage Rank Eight Bird was gone before he sneaked into the tree where the three birds were staying. ….

Inside the tree. The place didnʼt have many decorations. What looked like a nest could be seen at the side of the tree, and the place was quite big, having two rooms. When Grey entered, he didnʼt find any of the birds in whatʼs supposed to be the sitting room, but he sensed them in one of the rooms. He walked in casually, with his strength, he knew he could incapacitate them within a second, so there was no point in hiding too much. Inside the room, he saw the three Birds, one of them had fiery red feathers, while the other two were a mixture of brown and yellow. Unlike the Bird that left the tree, these three were large, standing around five meters tall. ”Who are you?” The fiery red bird was the first to notice Grey, he looked at him cautiously. Given their strength, they didnʼt expect anyone to sneak into their place and not notice them, hence the reason for his worry. ”Iʼm here for you three.” Grey looked around, and he didnʼt find anything out of the ordinary in the place. ”Whatʼs a human doing in our tribe?” One of the two Birds with brown and black feathers asked coldly. ”Like I said, Iʼm here for you guys.” Grey replied before raising a finger, pointing at the head of the fiery red Bird. ”Can you get that stupid Dragon you worked for some time ago to come out?” He asked. The Birds are his best bet if he wants to trick the Dragon out. ”What are you talking about, human?” The Bird asked. Grey was about to continue speaking when Void took action. All three Birds dropped to the ground almost simultaneously. ”Whatʼs the point of speaking too much with them? Just do your mind control and get them to contact the Dragon.” Void said with a tired expression. Grey shook his head, he too didnʼt want to waste time, but he needed more information from them. Luckily, Void didnʼt kill them, rather, he just knocked them out with a simple attack. Since the Birds were all focused on Grey, they didnʼt expect the small cat to be that powerful. With a wave, he took the three Birds and left the tribe. Staying here was too dangerous, so he needed to question them somewhere safe. …..

In a cave a few kilometers outside the Bird tribe. The trio regained consciousness, and with the help of Void, their cultivation was sealed. ”Alright, Iʼll get straight to the point. You attacked a Dragon a while back, and she gave me something to help her get revenge since there was no way to heal her.” ”Youʼre the one who killed those guys brandishing them with the word traitor?!” Hearing Greyʼs words made them realize who he was and why he came after them. They knew there was a human killing a few people who they worked with, and they had been scared because of it, but after a few months passed and they didnʼt see him, they felt he had left, they didnʼt expect him to come now that they had relaxed their guard. ”What youʼre doing is a big mistake. Killing people from Magical Beastsʼ clans is unacceptable. Doing this will bring the ire of us against your kind.” One of the Birds said coldly. ”I donʼt do well with threats, your next words might change the way you die.” Grey had a calm and collected expression on his face, but the three Birds felt a chill in their spine from his casual words, they could sense the frightening killing intent he possessed. ʼHow does a human have such unbridled killing intent?ʼ This was the only question in their heads, but they didnʼt dare to speak any further. ”I want that Dragon, can you get him out?” Grey asked. The three Birds looked at each other, before nodding their heads. ”How do you contact him?” ”We usually go to the Dragon tribe to seek an audience with him, also, we donʼt contact him, he is the one who contacts us.” The fiery red Bird explained, although it was pissed off by their current situation, it still knew that when faced with a powerful opponent, thereʼs basically nothing they could do than to give in to whatever demands the individual wants. In this case, they didnʼt mind giving him the Dragon as long as it means they will be pardoned. ”I want him, start thinking of how to get him here.” ”Why donʼt you let one of us go, she should go, she can get him o… Ahhh!” The Bird was in the middle of speaking when it felt a sharp pain across its entire body, it started shaking. ”Iʼm not hearing things Iʼd like to hear, you two better hurry up.” Grey turned his attention to the duo. The red Bird seems like the leader of the trio, and being the leader means that it is most likely smarter than the other two and would be tougher to get him to tell him what he wants in a short time, the other two might not be that tough. ”Talk.” ”His Highness told us to come meet him in two daysʼ time. He has a mission for us.” One of the Birds didnʼt hide anything and spilled it. ”Oh, a meeting in two days? How convenient.” Grey didnʼt expect something like this to happen. He originally thought it would take some time for him to get the Dragon, who wouldʼve thought that it was coming out on his own accord. ”Does he move with guards?” Grey wanted to prepare for everything. The strength of the guards around the Dragon will determine how the assassination will take place. ”Depends. Whenever he wants to do something like this, he only has one guard with him.” The Bird explained. ”Strength?” ”Weʼre too weak to know his cultivation stage, but the guard shouldnʼt be any weaker than you.” The Bird explained, they didnʼt know Greyʼs cultivation stage, but they could tell that he was far stronger than all three of them combined. ”Interesting…”

Grey fell deep in thoughts. He didnʼt want his identity to be exposed, so anyone involved had to die to ensure that this doesnʼt come back to affect him later in the future. Of course, given his identity, the Magical Beastsʼ Clans would think twice before attacking him, after all, he is the son of the famous Lucas Dawson, and he too can be regarded as a powerhouse at the moment. After a while, he decided to knock out the trio. Heʼll wake them when itʼs time to head out to the place where the meeting will be held. Once he can ascertain the strength of the Dragonʼs guard, heʼll know what to do. With Void with him, it wouldnʼt be hard for him to take the Dragon down, the problem was being exposed. ʼHmm, I guess Void will do the capturing.ʼ He gave it some thoughts and decided to ask Void for help. The bunny leader was still with him, the duo would be able to do this job with ease. ….

Two days passed in the blink of an eye. Grey placed the trio under his control, and then they left for the place where they would meet up with the Dragon. The place was quite hidden, and it was also in the Inner Court region. Grey was very observant as he entered into the Inner Court region. When he sensed the elemental essence in this place, he almost felt like moving here. This place was amazing, just breathing in alone feels him up. He didnʼt think there would be such a place in this world. The craziest part is that the further he goes, the better the quality of the essence. ʼCultivating a year here will be very beneficial.ʼ The thought of hiding around this place to cultivate came to his head, and to be honest, he was confident that a few top experts would be able to achieve that. His father could cultivate here and the Magical Beasts will generally leave him be as long as heʼs not causing any problems. After they got to the spot, Grey went into hiding as the trio waited for the Dragon to come. Void and the bunny leader were outside at the moment observing everything. The trio werenʼt being controlled by Grey at the moment, he didnʼt want to give himself away. Of course, once he senses anything odd from any of them, heʼll take control of them. They waited for an hour or two before Grey heard the sound of flapping coming from the east. Looking towards the direction, he saw the large Magical Beast flying in their direction. He has seen Dragons before, but whenever he sees one, he is always left in awe by their majestic features.
