Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian, who was sitting steadily at the back of the motorcycle, didn’t even look at her wound. She said in a calm voice, ”We can’t give Lina a chance to escape. There’s a certain distance between us and her now. We can’t delay any longer. Hurry!”

She didn’t want to give Officer Liu a chance to look at her again.

If he looked at her again… she might expose herself!

Officer Liu closed his eyes lightly and said in a low voice, ”Sit tight!”

”Liu Cheng, Lina is the second most important target of the Yun Province police. If possible, you must kill her while protecting yourself!”

This was the short two-minute conversation he had with Captain Deng before he chased after Ye Jian on his motorcycle. In those two minutes, he told Captain Deng that he had secretly taken care of Wu Jinkun and that the whereabouts of the female soldier, Ye Jian, were unknown. It was very likely that she was chasing after Lina.

Captain Deng told him to believe in the female soldier’s ability and cooperate with her to kill the second most important target.

Now was the time to kill the second most important target.

”I’ve already contacted Captain Deng. After dealing with Lina, we’ll immediately go to the border of Yun Province. With the helicopter patrol, we’ll be able to return to the country immediately.”

”Lina needs to be taken care of. Captain Deng reminded us that we must take care of ourselves and not force ourselves. If Captain Deng was here just now, he would’ve criticized you.”

Officer Liu’s deep voice was distorted by the wind. Ye Jian, who was secretly bandaging her shoulder with the headscarf to stop the bleeding, smiled and said, ”I only did that because I was confident. These are all subjects that I trained for in the past. It looks dangerous, but it’s not very dangerous for us.

”We’ve all done more dangerous actions. Driving on one side is simple.”

Her relaxed reply caused a faint smile to appear on the corner of Officer Liu’s lips. ”You’re a special forces soldier. There are very few female special forces soldiers, especially an outstanding special forces soldier like you. You’re like a rare treasure. Hence, nothing must happen to you. Captain Deng has ordered me to bring you back to the country safely.”

”Captain Deng, don’t worry. I want to return to the country safely too. After dealing with Lina, we’ll return to the country immediately. We won’t delay.”

”No problem.”

”Alright!”

They were from different systems, they were on a mission together, so the narcotics police officer and the special forces soldier agreed to return to the country together.

Officer Liu accelerated and chased after Lina. They did not doubt whether they could catch up or not. They only had one goal—they had to kill Lina!

Less than ten kilometers away from the motorcycle, a Jeep drove steadily and quickly out of the vast mountain along the narrow mountain road.

All the movements behind them were far away from them. They didn’t know what was happening behind them, nor did they know that someone was chasing after them.

The mountain roads in the hidden forest kept winding, leading to the place of hope.

Ten minutes later, the driver, Larner, looked at the mountain stream opposite him. There was a hint of coldness in his eyes.

”There are lights flashing over there,” he said in a low voice, waking up Lina, who was resting with her eyes closed.

Opening her eyes, Lina asked quickly, ”What lights? Car lights?”

”They don’t look like headlights,” Larner replied. ”It’s a single beam that’s slightly brighter than individual headlights. It might be from a motorcycle.”

”That’s impossible! All the gasoline has been poured out. It’s impossible for there to be a motorcycle here.” The Burmese man sitting in the passenger seat pressed the edge of the car window with one hand and leaned his head out of the car window for a while. He gritted his teeth and replied, ”Are you mistaken?”
