Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

In order to find his granddaughter, the old man risked his life.

The arrival of the old man alerted the leaders of Cheli City. The leaders of Cheli City’s Narcotics Brigade and the Criminal Investigation Unit were summoned to the city for a meeting on the same day. They returned to their respective bureaus with the orders from the higher-ups.

Lina’s appearance became the key to whether they could find the old man’s granddaughter. The two groups of people from the Narcotics Brigade and the Criminal Investigation Unit were all involved in the case of finding Lina’s whereabouts.

Cheli City’s narcotics police didn’t give up. They continued to check the various border surveillance cameras carefully. In order to find the whereabouts of this person so that the entire case could progress, the narcotics police who patrolled during the day would cooperate with their colleagues to check the surveillance cameras when they returned to the team at night.

Four days had passed since they found out about Lina’s existence, but there was still no progress from Cheli City’s Narcotics Brigade. The air around Captain Deng had been so low for the past few days that no one dared to take the initiative to walk over and talk to him. Apart from work matters, they would lower their heads and walk around him whenever they saw his gloomy expression. They didn’t dare to provoke him.

It couldn’t be helped. Their leader would always be in a bad mood once a month. It had become an iron law. Usually, he would only be unhappy for a day, but this time, it would probably last longer.

It would probably take three to five days before his mood lifted.

Just as the narcotics police in Cheli City were investing more resources into investigating Lina, the borders of Laos were destroying a batch of drugs that they had seized in the past month.

They were mainly from drug dealers from Myanmar and Laos.

The higher-ups of the Laos military and the Burmese military were all present. They expressed their determination to fight against the drug dealers to the end.

The two countries’ television stations reported the drug-control operation in real time and highly praised the higher-ups of the military of the two countries who were present. They said that the two countries would continue to work together and create a good future.

Ye Jian watched the live-stream through the phone. When the faces of the higher-ups of the Burmese military appeared on the computer, Ye Jian’s eyes darkened. After a while, a knowing smile flashed past her eyes.

The high-ranking member of the Burmese military who expressed his determination to fight drugs was none other than General Minlai, who had once cooperated with Cobra’s but ended his cooperation because of Cobra’s death.

When she entered Myanmar to save Yijin, she ended up having to stab the sharp knife into Captain Xia’s chest with K7. That was when she heard General Minlai’s name.

After Xia Jinyuan came back, he didn’t tell her that Minlai was a high-ranking member of the Burmese military. The narcotics police should have noticed something. However, because there was no concrete evidence and he had a high position, it was completely beyond the scope of the narcotics police’s investigation. Even if they did notice something, they wouldn’t have been able to do anything.

When Ye Jian, who was staring at the television, heard General Minlai’s name she immediately thought of the name she had heard in Myanmar. The driver also mentioned ’general’. Connecting the two, she knew clearly who the real boss behind Lina was.

As a high-ranking member of the Myanmar military, General Minlai looked righteous on the surface, but in fact, he was doing shameful things.

Even… Lina was one of his subordinates. The pile of bones in the forest was also General Minlai’s doing.

The boss behind Lina, the ’general’ mentioned by the driver… Why were the missing girls able to leave the country smoothly and go to various foreign countries? Why were Lina and the other drug dealers able to smoothly expand their power in the Golden Triangle and transport drugs out of Myanmar to be sold around the world? Now, there was finally a reasonable explanation.

General Minlai acted as their backer.
