Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian’s nose was covered. Due to the lack of oxygen, her feet and hands were flailing around. She made even more noise, reminding the group of people who were sneaking over that there were people here. Hence, they chose to take a detour.

Even if the other party didn’t take a detour and chose to shoot, with Ye Jian and the bodyguard’s hiding position, they wouldn’t be shot immediately. There was still enough time to escape.

The soldiers brought back by General Minlai were not to be trifled with. They were all brave and good at fighting. The people who came to assassinate General Minlai probably didn’t expect there to be elite soldiers deployed. There weren’t many people sent over, and they weren’t elites either. It was fine in the early stages when they were facing General Minlai’s soldiers as they could still fight. In the later stages, the disparity in strength appeared, and they were gradually losing. However, they wouldn’t lose immediately.

Ye Jian, who was almost suffocated, was finally able to breathe the gunpowder-stained air. She took deep breaths and coughed.

General Minlai was used to all kinds of situations. There had been many assassination attempts on him. As one of the largest warlords in Myanmar, he was definitely a formidable person. He didn’t take such assassination attempts seriously until a red light suddenly flickered.

Lina noticed the red light, and her expression changed drastically. She shouted, ”General, be careful!”

That was the red light of a sniper rifle. There was a sniper!

The four soldiers reacted faster than Lina. When Lina opened her mouth, someone had already pounced on General Minlai and protected him tightly. Another soldier used his body to block the red light. Large-caliber bullets tore through the air. Lina felt something splashing on her face. It was warm and sticky.

She didn’t scream. She knew very well what was splattered on her face.

The soldier’s head was blown up by bullets. His skull was shattered, and his blood and brain matter splattered all over her face.

With a sniper around, the situation was different. General Minlai, whose expression was dark, wasn’t in the mood to pursue Lina’s matter anymore. He didn’t stay where he was and let the soldiers cover his retreat.

Lina didn’t follow him closely. She just chose to retreat temporarily. When they entered the forest, she said to General Minlai, ”General, I’ll stay. I’m sure you know my methods of interrogating people.”

At this moment, General Minlai’s expression improved slightly. He snorted softly and left with the soldiers.

”Leave two alive. Kill the rest,” the adjutant ordered. Before he left, he gave Lina a meaningful look. He didn’t say anything else and left with the general.

The soldiers in the forest started clearing the area crazily because of the sniper. The screams became more concentrated. Ye Jian kept lying on the ground. Even when the hot bullets hit the back of her hand, she didn’t move.

She didn’t move until the point of the firefight was a little further away from her and the bullets were no longer brushing past her head.

About half an hour later, all the soldiers who had secretly entered the territory of Laos to assassinate General Minlai were killed except for two who were left alive. Lina, whose face was covered in soot, walked out. She looked at the two captured soldiers. The first thing she did was to look for Ye Jian.

She was worried that Ye Jian would take the opportunity to escape.

The bodyguard grabbed Ye Jian’s collar and dragged her over. He pushed her to Lina’s feet and reported Ye Jian’s performance just now.

This time, Lina, who was in a good mood after capturing two soldiers alive, wasn’t angry. Instead, she thought that it was normal.

This was the first time Ye Jian heard gunshots. It was only normal for her to scream in fear.

”Fortunately, it was just a scream. I thought she would pee her pants.” Lina giggled and glanced at Ye Jian coldly.

The most important thing now was to pry useful information out of the survivors.

When Ye Jian saw Lina, the first thing she thought of was… if she didn’t kill General Minlai, she should at least kill this beautiful snake. After tonight, she didn’t know when she would have a chance.

Ye Jian was simply thinking about it. However, she didn’t expect that the opportunity wasn’t far away from her.
