Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Now that the Shan State police had called again, the adjutant lowered his eyes slightly and unconsciously flicked his fingers on his knees. It was probably not a good thing.

The general’s expression was so dark that it seemed to be tainted with the color of the night. It was so dark that even he didn’t dare to look at him directly.

”Since you chose to cooperate with me, your difficulties are naturally my difficulties too. Don’t worry, there won’t be any problems on my side. You just need to guard the police well and not let those useless people target me.

”Don’t worry about the Chinese. They can’t do anything to me. How they act is their own business. It has nothing to do with us.

”Remember, you and I just need to clean up after ourselves. We’ll settle what needs to be settled. We’ll clean up what needs to be cleaned up. Don’t leave any traces behind. If we do that, nothing will happen to us.

”As for that line, I’ve already decided to give it up. If anything happens, blame it on her. I’ve already sent people to deal with her. If it can be resolved successfully, there’s no need for you to appear. It’s the police’s responsibility to catch criminals in Myanmar. You have full authority to deal with it. You don’t have to ask me.

”Okay, I believe you can handle it. Yes, tomorrow, a sum of cash will be transferred to your old account… Okay… Sure, let’s have a pleasant cooperation.”

General Minlai was expressionless throughout the entire conversation. After the call ended, he threw the phone to his adjutant. ”Lina is cunning. Inform the people sent to deal with her not to leave any future trouble for me.”

”Yes, General!” The adjutant nodded.

China’s sudden action was equivalent to pulling Lina out of the water. If they didn’t deal with her now, with the sharp sense of smell of the Chinese anti-narcotics police, they would definitely trace her to General Minlai.

To prevent future troubles, Lina had to be eliminated.

Although she was still useful, compared to the general’s safety, she had to be abandoned no matter how useful she was.

The Jeep continued driving on the mountain road. The forest on both sides flashed past the window, and the car returned to calm.

Lina, who was preparing to welcome a new client, didn’t expect to be abandoned by General Minlai. She didn’t know that the so-called new client wasn’t a client at all but a killer hired by Wu Jinkun.

Wu Jinkun didn’t dare to underestimate Lina. Hence, he hired someone at a high price to kill her.

There were still ten minutes before 8:00 pm. The drugs that needed to be delivered to Wu Jinkun had been loaded and were just waiting to leave. At that moment, figures moved outside the mountain stronghold. Their footsteps were light as they rushed into the forest like ghosts.

Someone whistled as he unbuckled his belt and entered the forest to relieve himself. Before he could finish, a black shadow appeared beside him and covered his mouth and nose. The shadow cut the man’s throat with a long knife. His method was clean and efficient.

Wu Jinkun looked at the time. There were still five minutes before 8:00 pm. He looked at the bodyguard beside him meaningfully and received a subtle nod. A strange smile appeared on Wu Jinkun’s face.

He patted the drugs that had been loaded and smiled until her yellow teeth were revealed.

”Brother Kun, you’re personally bringing this batch of goods out tonight. For the next batch…” Before Lina could finish her sentence, the whistle in the village blew sharply. Before Wu Jinkun could react, Lina quickly hid behind the truck and took out her pistol.

Wu Jinkun reacted and hid behind the truck too. ”What happened? It’s not time yet!”

”Brother Kun, it’s not one of us!” The bodyguard tightened his grip on his pistol and replied in a low voice, ”There’s another group of people!”

Gunshots sounded around the village. Lina closed her eyes tightly with a dark expression. They were here! They were here!

The general had abandoned her!
