Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

”Tao Yi!”

”Here!”

”He Wenquan!”

”Here!”

”Meng Meng!”

”Here!”

”Jiang Yuyan!”

”Here!”

”Zhao Dai!”

”Here!”

…

Every time someone was called, Ye Jian would raise her head and look at the student whose name was called. After the 43 new students were called, she had memorized everyone’s names.

Ye Jian, who remembered all their names, folded the list back into her pocket. She stood at the spot where the sun was setting through the gaps in the leaves and bathed in the bright and white sunlight. Her cold voice smashed into everyone’s ears.

”There are four groups now. Tao Yi is the squad leader of Group One. Students one to ten will form Group One.”

”He Wenquan is the squad leader of Group Two. Students 11 to 21 will form Group Two.

”Meng Meng is the squad leader of Group Three. Students 22 to 32 will form Group Three.

”Jiang Yuyan is the squad leader of Group Four. Students 33 to 43 will form Group Four.”

After the roll call, Ye Jian used the simplest method to split the students into four groups. The squad leaders were selected by her after ten minutes of observation.

After the groups were divided, they officially entered the military training. The new students, who thought that being assigned a female instructor was something that other classes envied, regretted it.

In regards to learning to stand at attention and at ease, if they don’t succeed the first time, they could just do it a second time. If they didn’t succeed the second time, they would do it for the third time. Instructor Ye said calmly, ”It’s alright. We can just move our lunch time. The same goes for when we disperse and when we gather.”

She said the most terrifying words in a calm voice. Who would dare to be lazy?

No one!

They were afraid that their lunch time would be pulled back.

Huang Yawen studied hard. When ”attention” was called, she stood at attention and didn’t move!

When ”at ease” was shouted, her right leg swooshed out. Her movements were very fast. She didn’t dare to be lazy at all.

As for her plan to pretend to be uncomfortable and ask for leave, Huang Yawen had completely forgotten about it.

She didn’t dare to do it.

She was afraid that a knife would be put up against her neck.

”Turn right… Turn right! Turn right! Turn left… Turn left… Turn left… Make neater moves. You can’t differentiate between left and right? I don’t want the tan on your faces to be uneven. I need to split the right and left turns evenly.

”Liu Qi, you look like you really want to stay and spend more time with the sun later. Turn right. Are you not going to move? Do you really want to stay back?

”Nie Chenlin, please distinguish between right and left! I don’t want one-half of your face to be another color.

”Duan Bin, at ease! Move your legs half a beat faster. Your shoelaces are loose. Adjust them. Don’t fall and hurt others.”

The sentences uttered were funny, but the new students couldn’t laugh.

Why couldn’t they laugh?

That was because they were so shocked that Instructor Ye was able to call out everyone’s names in just less than an hour of getting to know them! How did she know everyone?!

They had met such a beautiful and harmless instructor, but she was so strict that everyone was afraid of her!

”Move in unison! One, two, one, two, one, two!

”One, two, three, four!”

The commands were shouted. Their footsteps slowly became slightly more orderly from the initial mess. From time to time, one could hear the chaotic sounds of slow and fast beats.

It was easy to slack off during the march. The new students, who had been undergoing military training for an hour and a half, couldn’t hold on anymore. The sun was too hot, and their faces were burning with pain. It was so hot that their entire bodies were wet, and their sleeves were drenched.

They really wanted to rest, but their instructor didn’t seem to have that intention at all!
