Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Should they tell Q King in advance… G3 pondered for a moment before replying, ”Ask the higher-ups. If they say we can tell him, then tell him. If not… don’t tell him for the time being.

”But I think you can tell him.

”We still need to tell Q King through Azure Bird to not act alone. We can take the chance when the Chinese female soldiers are kidnapped to help him complete his previous plan. There’s no need for another combat.”

V8 contacted Major General Yang directly and got a reply that he could tell Xia Jinyuan directly. He said, ”A general doesn’t obey orders outside. This has nothing to do with the two countries. As long as it’s beneficial to the entire operation, you can make your own decisions. You don’t have to ask your superiors for these things.”

There was no need to ask their superiors for advice on any decision.

The battlefield was their battlefield. They would do what was beneficial to the battlefield. The generals in charge of the country just needed to ensure that the entire decision hadn’t changed.

With Major General Yang’s nod, V8 had an idea.

The sun had already withdrawn its last rays of sunlight. The layers of clouds on the horizon were dyed with a layer of gold. The sun had already set, and only the last rays of light illuminated the ground.

Gradually, the golden edges of the clouds became lighter and lighter. Some birds rushed into the clouds from somewhere. After a few flaps of their wings, they turned into a black dot and disappeared. The sky gradually turned dark. The distant mountains seemed to be enveloped by a thin green veil. The surroundings were silent.

Only the wind blew past the treetops, bringing with it a rustling sound.

V8 had already seen his captain. After not seeing him for a year, V8 was a little excited! He was even more excited than when he saw his girlfriend.

Damn, he almost forgot that he didn’t have a girlfriend!

A few birds chirped. They seemed to be flapping their wings happily on the branches. Xia Jinyuan’s footsteps moved slightly, and he walked into the mountain calmly. Someone on patrol noticed him and looked over. Xia Jinyuan hid half of his body in the forest, and his upper body was faintly visible among the leaves. He looked like he was settling an ’urgent’ matter.

The person didn’t pay much attention and left quickly.

V8 was standing beside a tree where Xia Jinyuan could see him directly. They looked at each other and smiled.

Ever since Xia Jinyuan became the captain of the Xueyu unit, this was the second time he hadn’t seen his comrades for a year. The first time, his comrades didn’t miss the captain who had come out of nowhere. Now, after experiencing so many life-and-death battles together and not seeing Q King for a year, the comrades’ excitement was obvious. V8’s eyes were red.

”Captain…”

He maintained a certain distance and looked at him intently. His voice was hoarse.

Xia Jinyuan smiled. ”Not bad. You didn’t forget me.”

”How would we dare to forget? All of us miss you. We’ve all been hoping that you’d come back soon. We’re all waiting for you to come back and train us.”

V8 grinned. His face, which was covered with camouflage paint, was wrinkled.

He wanted to have a good chat, but time didn’t allow it. Xia Jinyuan asked V8 to tell him how many comrades had arrived and if they were all here. He wanted to know what other arrangements the military had.

V8 retracted his intention of chatting and took the time to explain things to Xia Jinyuan. He pursed his lips and gave Xia Jinyuan a heads-up. ”Captain, the first thing I want to say is a little big. Be mentally prepared. Take a deep breath first and stabilize yourself.”

Xia Jinyuan raised his eyebrows slightly and asked him, ”Do you want to tell me that three female soldiers from China were kidnapped?”
