Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 386: Chapter 386: The Birth of the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon

”There’s a Little Dragon about to hatch, let’s go and see,” Ye Yun said with a light laugh.

After he finished speaking, his body floated towards the upper reaches of the Nether Immortal Cave.

As Ye Yun crossed the great Formation, all the cultivators of the Nether Immortal Cave immediately stepped to either side, clearing a path for him.

Ye Yun hovered above the cultivators, looking up at the quivering rock wall ten miles above.

A Little Dragon? The Xuan bird in the valley was startled. How could there be a Divine Dragon hatching out of the Nether Immortal Cave? This Nether Immortal Cave is indeed strange. Firstly, there were seven coffins at the bottom, all buried with Elders of the Dragon God Sect’s Eternal Realm. And now, within the rock wall, there was a Divine Dragon about to break out of its shell. Could it also be a Divine Dragon of the Dragon God Sect?

After all, in that era, the Dragon God Sect did breed several Divine Dragons, albeit not in large numbers.

Seeing that the Master had flown into the air, the Xuan bird swayed slightly and quickly followed suit.

In the valley, only Yu Long was left, dumbfounded.

At this moment, Yu Long’s mind was in chaos. He hadn’t expected that the seven black coffins in the valley contained the bodies of elders from an ancient and venerable sect. Although he couldn’t understand these complicated relationships, he knew that the secrets involved were astonishing.

Yu Long looked up. The rock wall was shaking violently, with countless rocks falling like shooting stars, creating a spectacular sight. However, when the rocks fell around the Senior, they all disappeared mysteriously.

Yu Long stared in shock, his mind buzzing. The Senior just mentioned... there’s a dragon being born over there? What does this mean?

Seeing those seven black coffins, Yu Long felt a chill in his heart. He didn’t dare to stay for a moment and hurried into the air.

Passing the path within the great Formation, he saw that all the cultivators of Nether Immortal Cave, including the Sect Master, were in a state of confusion. Yu Long felt his heart racing. This Senior’s Divine Skills are terrifying! The Nether Immortal Cave, despite being a Supreme Major Sect, had its entire sect’s strength prove as fragile as a gnat before this Senior.

Yu Long flew to Ye Yun’s side, lowered his head, and dared not speak.

At this time, Ye Yun looked towards the valley and seemed to think of something. He stretched out his hand and set up a great Formation, resealing the valley once again.

As the saying goes, let the dead rest in peace. Seven Elders of the Dragon God Sect had rested here for nearly 100,000 years, and they should continue their eternal slumber here in the years to come. The Formation that Ye Yun set up at this moment could protect these seven Elders from all disturbances.

After giving it some thought, he threw a white stone into the Formation. This was a Spirit Stone, containing terrifying Spiritual Energy. The Formation would slowly release the Spiritual Energy contained in the Spirit Stone, maintaining the rich concentration of energy that Nether Immortal Cave had always had.

Ye Yun did this to maintain the Nether Immortal Cave, a Supreme Major Sect, in its original state, ensuring nothing would change. It was like having these people guard the seven deceased Elders of the Dragon God Sect.

After he leaves, Ye Yun planned to erase the memories of all cultivators in the Nether Immortal Cave. He would restore this place to the state it was in before he arrived.

As for Yu Long and his father, both possessed a trace of the Dragon God Bloodline. Ye Yun planned to take them both away to cultivate them as a reserve force for the Dragon God Sect. Nowadays, there were fewer and fewer Human cultivators on the Cangnan Continent who possessed the Dragon God Bloodline. Having encountered two, Ye Yun naturally wouldn’t let them go.

As for the memory of this father-and-son pair among all the cultivators in the Nether Immortal Cave, Ye Yun would also completely erase it when the time comes. To these people, it would be as if this father and son had never appeared in the Nether Immortal Cave.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The tremendous rumbling grew louder and louder; the entire Nether Immortal Cave trembled at this moment as if a colossal creature was about to be born.

The complexion on the Xuan bird’s face grew increasingly solemn. This Divine Dragon, just by emerging from its shell, has already reached Eternal Realm cultivation! This starting point is simply too high.

Ye Yun stood with his hands behind his back, calmly awaiting the emergence of the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon.

BOOM!

A huge section of the rock wall suddenly broke off and fell towards Ye Yun. Then, a giant green Dragon Shadow burst out of the rock wall.

Ye Yun’s eyelids twitched slightly, and the enormous rock instantly vanished.

Ten miles above their heads, a green giant dragon, its body tens of thousands of feet long, circled. This green giant dragon was covered in luminous green scales, but around its neck was a circle of red scales—conspicuously eye-catching.

ROAR—!

This newly-born green giant dragon was unbelievably excited, continually roaring up at the sky. With each roar, a lot of green, semi-translucent gas fell from the giant dragon’s mouth. The gas ethereally floated down.

Some fell on the surrounding rock walls, which were immediately painted in an eerie green color. Some landed on certain Spirit Grass, causing them to undergo a transformation where their growth speed drastically increased, becoming even more lush and vibrant than before. The trees growing Spirit Fruits also accelerated their growth speed; from bud to fruit-bearing, it only took a few breaths.

”Master, this Divine Dragon has the power of plant catalysis!” the Xuan bird observed, its expression shocked.

”Indeed,” Ye Yun said with a smile. ”This dragon is called the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon. It belongs to the Divine Dragons that are close to the Wood element. Whether it’s its Mana or its blood, even the toxic gas it exhales can spur the surrounding plant life to grow dramatically.”

”Senior, those plants that have absorbed the green gas are all poisonous now, right?” Yu Long asked, looking fearfully at the Spirit Fruits in the distance and swallowing hard.

Ye Yun nodded and smiled, ”The Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon carries a strange toxin. After the gas it expels contaminates the surrounding plants, if a human were to consume them, those with a weak cultivation base would perish instantly.”

”So that’s how it is...” Yu Long nodded, his face pale.

”That Spirit Fruit you encountered was affected by just a wisp of its Super Divine Dragon Breath, which it unintentionally leaked,” Ye Yun looked at Yu Long and said calmly. ”That’s why you managed to endure for three years. Otherwise, if you had eaten one of those affected Spirit Fruits, you would have died instantly.”

”That’s terrifying!” Yu Long exclaimed, his heart filled with dread.

Ye Yun glanced in a certain direction below his feet and said indifferently, ”Your father is still in the dungeon. Go rescue him.”

”Yes, Senior!” Yu Long was overjoyed, bowed deeply in salutation, and quickly flew downward.

The excitement of the Nether Blood Green Wooden Dragon hovering above the Nether Immortal Cave finally subsided. It then realized that many cultivators were gathered below. It was familiar with these cultivators; they were the cultivators from the Nether Immortal Cave who had accompanied it for tens of thousands of years.

But in the void above these Nether Immortal Cave cultivators stood two figures—two young men.

One, a black-robed young man, emitted a faint Demonic Aura, and his cultivation base had reached the First Level of the Eternal Realm. This was identical to its own realm.

As for the other white-robed youth, he was a Human cultivator. The dragon couldn’t discern his cultivation base, as he was using some Secret Technique to conceal his Super Divine Dragon Breath.
