The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

”Set up the formation and prepare for battle!”

”First team, engage head-on. Second team, provide support. Third team, retreat and prepare!”

Balther Weiss pondered for just a second before decisively issuing the command to prepare for battle.

With Heavenly Moon Sect as the strongest representative sect of the Demon Race this time, if they retreated when they are not outnumbered, where would their dignity be?

Retreat?

Why shouldn’t the Barbarian Tribe’s team retreat instead?

Balther Weiss did not particularly want to engage in this battle, but he did not want to retreat!

Everyone’s eyes sharpened, quickly forming arrays in the air.

Even for cultivators, when numbers are large and there isn’t an overwhelmingly strong individual on one side, it’s not much different from military combat, so as the team leader, arranging the troops becomes very important.

Balther Weiss utilized his resting time to understand the strength and specialities of every member of the Illusory Snake Sect, assigning the strongest superior grade Great Land Supreme Immortal to the first echelon, middle and lower grade Great Land Immortals to the second echelon, and others with lower strength or special roles to the third echelon.

Balther Weiss arranged meticulously, even specifying who should stand at which position on the defensive line.

With a larger number of people, if there was no formation and they just rushed in a chaotic mass, many weaker individuals would likely be wiped out in the first round of contact, and the most important point is, their deaths would be in vain and altogether unjustified.

This is like ancient battles where it was clearly generals and elite infantry at the front, but you put the rear archers and even supply troops at the forefront, and if they died, would they not die in vain?

Carson Flores did not conceal the Eight Desolation Fire Spirit Formation matter; after all, with the battle reaching this stage, relying solely on themselves for victory was becoming difficult.

Since joining the team, one might as well contribute some of their strength.

With the foundation of sixteen tags earlier, and some embellishments, as long as victory is achieved and they leave alive, the task is essentially completed.

After Balther Weiss thoroughly understood the approximate range, power, and setup time required for the Eight Desolation Fire Spirit Formation, he integrated Carson Flores into the third team and gave careful instructions.

Once the battle begins, if their side has an absolute advantage, there’s no need to set up formations, just engage directly. However, if there’s no advantage, Carson Flores shouldn’t participate in the battle but withdraw from the team, retreating to the rear to set up the formation with others. After delaying for some time, Balther Weiss will lead the team to retreat, and Carson Flores needs to hold the formation, prepared to activate it at the right moment.

The third team consisted of five individuals, all either Array Masters or Artifact Refiners, carrying powerful formations or numerous potent consumable magical treasures.

Balther Weiss did not assign them to assist on the battlefield but chose to have them retreat and set traps.

Carson Flores didn’t waste words, turning around to leave with the other four.

Carson Flores had previously communicated with them, two Array Masters and two Artifact Refiners, so once they retreated a certain distance, they quickly chose a section of the mountain range as their ambush site.

Carson Flores’ Eight Desolation Fire Spirit Formation was set up across multiple mountain peaks, enveloping the entire basin within, while the others got busy with their tasks.

One Array Master set a formation within the clouds; this was the Purple Lightning Heavenly Thunder Formation. Once activated, heavenly thunder descends from above, automatically striking life forms within the formation, with impressive power.

Another Array Master set a formation in front of the Eight Desolation Fire Spirit Formation; this was the Fury Wind Formation. Once activated, endless fierce winds, like countless sharp blades, sweep through and tear apart all targets within the formation.

Though the power of these two formations is not lacking, their array cores compared to Phoenix Fire are somewhat inferior, hence their impact falls short of stunning. Nevertheless, if the enemy falls into the ambush, it can certainly catch them off guard, causing some casualties.

The other two Artifact Refiners, akin to laying landmines, concealed hundreds of refined Exploding Talismans on the sides of towering peaks. If they pass through this area, triggering them all would result in massive attacks.

The magical treasures first detonate in mid-air, followed by the simultaneous activation of the three formations, with rampant winds, fiery fire, and heavenly thunder attacking any enemies within the area, undoubtedly causing significant damage.

Should the ambush succeed, whether it’s buying time for genuinely fleeing individuals or an opportunity for those pretending to flee, it will have a highly effective impact.

As Carson Flores and the others withdrew to set traps, a densely packed Barbarian Tribe squad appeared in the distance, advancing towards them.

Balther Weiss quickly scanned, breathing slightly easier.

The total was close to fifty people, with both sides having roughly equal numbers; this battle was set to be hard-fought!

Balther Weiss’s gaze swept through the crowd, soon resting on the face of a tall Barbarian Tribe man in the middle.

Ferocious Tiger Tribe, Balete!

Seeing the opponent, Balther Weiss knew this battle wasn’t likely to be avoided.

The Ferocious Tiger Tribe is one of the representative forces of the tribe, formidable in strength, on par with Heavenly Moon Sect. This Balete is the tribe’s warrior, reputed as invincible below Prime Immortal, and is domineering in nature!

Balther Weiss’s eyes narrowed slightly: ”Plan number two, prepare for battle!”
