The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Carson Flores was soaring upwards when suddenly a pungent wind stirred, and a dark and massive snakehead abruptly lifted, its cold vertical pupils fixedly staring at him.

Carson Flores suddenly halted his body, cautiously eyeing the nearby Black Mountain.

What’s up with this creature?

Wasn’t it lying there calmly just now, without reacting to others? Why did it react this way when it was his turn?

The gaze of the man and snake met in the air, and at that instant, Carson Flores unexpectedly saw desire in those cold eyes!

Yes, that’s right, desire!

Its eyes glimmered with light, greed surfacing from the depths of its gaze, making its eyes greedy and fervent.

Carson Flores faced Black Mountain’s gaze coldly, without moving, but his entire body was prepared, ready to fight at any moment.

Because he realized that the creature looked at him as if looking at a delicious prey.

It wanted to swallow him whole, eat him!

While on guard, Carson Flores was quite puzzled; why did this creature not react to so many others but have such a huge reaction when it came to him?

Is his flesh more fragrant?

Black Mountain’s sudden head lift almost threw off the group of people that had landed atop its head; they scrambled to stay airborne, avoiding being directly tossed aside by the snake’s movement.

”What’s going on?”

”Why did Black Mountain suddenly move erratically?”

”Why is it staring at that man, is there something unusual about him?”

”Isn’t he just a guest from Myriad Immortals Palace, I heard he’s a Battle Hall disciple... ”

Roderic Tate, witnessing this scene, became very frightened and hastily shouted, ”Black Mountain, do not act recklessly; he is a guest from Myriad Immortals Palace!”

The Six-Winged Demon Snake Black Mountain couldn’t speak human language yet understood; its massive pupils seemed slightly hesitant.

People from Myriad Immortals Palace can’t be eaten, but the smell of him is so enticing!

Really wanting to swallow him in one bite!

Sect Master Garlan Parrish, sitting steadily atop the snake’s head, slightly furrowed his brows and gently tapped Black Mountain’s head, lowly commanding, ”Black Mountain, do not be rude!”

Black Mountain reluctantly lowered its head, yet its eyes remained fixed on Carson Flores, the gaze making Carson shudder slightly.

Your desire to eat me is all too evident in your eyes; making me quite anxious.

Earlier I forgot to ask about Black Mountain’s exact strength, but judging from Samir Coffey’s description, it’s estimated to be just at Peak Great Land Supreme Immortal, otherwise, why would Samir Coffey say it would be made into serpent stew when encountering a Great Land Prime Immortal?

Garlan Parrish’s gaze fell on Carson Flores, smiling slightly at Carson, ”Come up.”

Carson Flores soared up swiftly, landing atop the snake’s head, respectfully bowing to Garlan Parrish, saying, ”Thank you, Senior... why does it suddenly show hostility towards me, as if wanting to swallow me whole?”

Garlan Parrish examined Carson Flores for a moment and responded with a smile, ”Perhaps you have something on you that piques its interest.”

Something of interest?

His magical treasures are all in the Ethereal Pagoda or in the Space Ring; what could possibly draw its attention?

Carson Flores scrutinized himself, and when his eyes swept over his left arm, they suddenly lit up.

So that’s it!

Previously, Carson Flores had unraveled the Sword Talisman left by Norric in the Secret Realm, releasing the suppressed Starry Sky Beast Chi Calamity. Upon parting, it coalesced a Starry Sky Magic Demon Snake as an Innate Divine Ability and gifted it to him, currently entwined around his arm like a tattoo.

Black Mountain is a magical beast, born from demonic energy; hence, magical beasts have an unusual sensitivity to demonic energy, as it is their core origin power. Consuming more demonic energy allows a magical beast to evolve significantly, gaining strength and ascending to higher realms.

Black Mountain obviously sensed the aura of the Starry Sky Magic Demon Snake on Carson’s arm; its instinct to evolve spurred its greed, leading it to want to swallow Carson. Yet, having been tamed by Garlan Parrish since youth, it revered him deeply, so after Garlan spoke, though it wanted to eat Carson, it temporarily abandoned the notion.

Once everyone was atop Black Mountain’s head, Garlan Parrish tapped the snake’s head, instructing, ”Go!”

Black Mountain hissed lowly twice, then shot skyward.

Riding atop a magical beast and observing the scenery might not be as stable and comfortable as a Commerce Aircraft, yet this close experience, flying on a mount, felt uniquely pleasant.

With this swift flight, ten days passed, and they reached the destination.

The Illusory Snake Sect didn’t arrive earliest; at this time, many giant Flying Boats and various mounts were already parked on the plain.

Everything was distinctly split into two camps, North containing the Demon Race, South holding the satisfied faction, the crowd densely packed and lively.

Black Mountain’s arrival stirred everyone, and instantly many gathered around.

”Sect Master Parrish, long time no see!”

”Greetings, Sect Master Parrish!”

Normally aloof, Garlan Parrish’s face showed a faint smile, as he exchanged greetings with the crowd, suddenly interrupted by a discordant voice.

”Aha, isn’t this Sect Master Parrish? You all arrived really late this time, as expected, again riding that broken snake, squeezed among many, traversing without even a place to sleep. Could it be your Illusory Snake Sect can’t afford a giant Flying Boat?”
