The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

In the dense forest, the team from the Illusory Snake Sect was resting.

The Holy Son, Eolan Lorcan, sat on a rock with a cold expression, a large slash cut through the front of his magic robe, and the dark red blood was shocking to behold.

Around him, the other disciples of the Illusory Snake Sect were also recovering by taking elixirs, each showing signs of battle. Two of them were particularly pale, covered in blood, and although their wounds had healed, they appeared extremely weak.

Just a moment ago, Eolan Lorcan had led the Illusory Snake Sect team and unexpectedly encountered a squad from the Barbarian Black Wind Tribe.

Without any preparation, a fierce battle ensued between the two sides immediately.

The Black Wind Tribe squad had fifteen members, while the Illusory Snake Sect squad had eleven. In terms of numbers, the Illusory Snake Sect was at a disadvantage, and the overall strength level of the Black Wind Tribe squad was slightly higher.

At the start of the battle, the Illusory Snake Sect was at a disadvantage, and it looked as though the squad was about to be annihilated. Eolan Lorcan used the Great Divine Ability: Sand Dragon Illusory God Technique to forcibly pull several strong members of the Black Wind Tribe into the illusion.

Having to deal with multiple powerful opponents simultaneously, and given that each opponent was very strong and immediately protected themselves with various magical treasures, even after being pulled into the illusion, Eolan Lorcan was unable to kill them.

Because of Eolan Lorcan’s desperate efforts, the Illusory Snake Sect managed to stabilize the critical situation slightly. However, with the frantic consumption of his spiritual power, the illusion eventually collapsed, leaving the outcome unresolved, resulting in mutual destruction for both sides.

The Illusory Snake Sect squad lost two members during the entire battle, with the rest all injured. Eolan Lorcan took a cut, and although it healed quickly, it still caused significant harm, reducing his combat power considerably in the short term.

The Black Wind Tribe team didn’t fare much better. Although they had more members and were stronger, the mysteriousness of the Sand Dragon Illusory God Technique put them at a disadvantage, and in that short time they were trapped, three of their team members were killed.

The Illusory Snake Sect exchanged two for three, the cruelty of the battle was vividly demonstrated at this moment.

Eolan Lorcan slowly exhaled, sweeping a glance at everyone, his gaze somewhat cold.

With the combat power damaged, encountering enemies again would be unwise.

It seemed they needed to find a way to ally with other Demon Race teams.

Before the battle, besides their respective sects having their own collection points, the Demon Race also had a designated assembly point for their entire team.

The situation was ever-changing, but broadly speaking, there were still gathering areas, and this area was where the Demon Race’s participants gathered their forces.

By integrating the most strength within the assembly area, they would ultimately engage in a decisive battle with the Barbarians to achieve the final victory or defeat.

The second assembly point for the Illusory Snake Sect was within this area.

Eolan Lorcan stood up: ”Everyone, head to the second assembly point, try to find other sect teams, and join forces against the enemy.”

If it wasn’t absolutely necessary, Eolan Lorcan didn’t want to do this. After all, the Illusory Snake Sect didn’t have many people, and once they allied with other groups, the leadership would definitely fall into someone else’s hands, putting the Illusory Snake Sect at a relative disadvantage.

Unfortunately, with many injured and combat power reduced, Eolan Lorcan had no choice.

Everyone packed up and headed towards the second assembly point.

Half a day later, they arrived at the second assembly point, and Eolan Lorcan swept his divine sense around but found nothing.

”Rest!”

Everyone sat down cross-legged again, taking elixirs to recover. After all, a battle could start at any moment, maintaining the best combat power was extremely important.

Eolan Lorcan was just about to sit down when he suddenly had a feeling, turned sharply, and shouted: ”Who, come out!”

No need for Eolan Lorcan’s command, all Illusory Snake Sect disciples instantly summoned their magical treasures, taking a guarded stance, ready to fight at any moment.

Three people flew out from behind the distant mountain peak, led by the Illusory Snake Sect disciple Samir Coffey.

Samir Coffey waved at everyone: ”Brother Lorcan, don’t be alarmed, it’s us!”

Eolan Lorcan breathed a sigh of relief, though he was quite surprised.

He had clearly searched the surrounding area carefully just now and found nothing, yet they were right in such close proximity?

All the Illusory Snake Sect disciples, seeing it was their fellow sect members, relaxed and smiled joyfully.

With three more comrades, the combat power of the squad increased slightly.

Eolan Lorcan had already learned from the Sect Master that Carson Flores was a Battle Hall disciple, Niall Sinclair was a Superior Grade Great Land Supreme Immortal, and Samir Coffey was in the Dragon Realm. These three were not lacking in combat power, and seeing them come to join, he was quite pleased.

”Brother Coffey!”

Samir Coffey looked at Eolan Lorcan’s injury and asked in surprise: ”You’re injured?”

Eolan Lorcan replied calmly: ”We ran into a Black Wind Tribe squad and fought.”

Samir Coffey inquired further: ”The Black Wind Tribe is very strong, what was the result?”

Eolan Lorcan’s expression was momentarily strange: ”We lost two, they lost three.”

A disciple beside him added: ”They were stronger than us, and they had more people. It was all thanks to Brother Eolan using the Sand Dragon Illusion God Technique to drag several of their strongest into the illusion temporarily, otherwise, most of us would have been killed or injured...”
