Three Towers Game

He noticed the principal standing motionless ahead, and it made him think of the worst scenario—

The physically invincible principal, having a mental weakness… indicating the principal was mentally controlled.

Just as Wen Xishu attempted to summon a ”persona,” he suddenly felt all the bloodstains in his memory rapidly vanish.

Nissen and Yue Yun beside him also instantly regained their clarity.

”What happened?” Yue Yun asked.

He really didn’t want to feel like a... mere adornment, but in this place where the Black Houses were as many as dogs and the Red Houses were everywhere, he could only act like a rookie.

Xun Hui said:

”You entered a state of no self. This is the State of No Self·Ground & Moisture. It’s a rune I recently obtained. It allows single-target abilities to have an area effect.”

Wen Xishu understood, the state of no self had turned into a group buff. He looked at Xun Hui:

”Senior… were you intentionally searching for this kind of rune?”

Xun Hui nodded. He was indeed intentionally collecting them so that he could protect his teammates in the future. Meanwhile, Xun Hui’s gaze shifted beyond the state of no self.

The state of no self was supposed to encompass Albert as well.

But Albert rejected it.

Albert stood still, appearing as if completely controlled after a spiritual invasion.

It was also at this moment that Wen Xishu noticed a red ”monster” appearing on the porch leading to the church garden not far away.

Its appearance was like a mix of countless pigeons and rats, resembling a pile of pigeon and rat carcasses.

This was its ”skin.”

Its skin was made of numerous dead pigeons and rats, dyed in blood red, but its outline was like a bisected human crawling with its upper torso supported by its arms.

Wen Xishu couldn’t imagine what this person experienced in the Desire Tower… to evolve into such a form.

Even the radiation creatures from Rokkasho would find it hard to be this grotesque.

Perhaps this Red House had an extremely tragic past.

But Albert shook his head:

”You invaded my memory… I was wondering if it was an old friend, but upon seeing you, I’m sure you are not them.”

”Their obsession is with me, there’s no way they could harm me.”

”Alas. I shouldn’t have indulged in fantasies.”

Wen Xishu understood, the old principal didn’t fall for the trap at all, he just wanted to see who the enemy truly was.

Xun Hui said:

”Don’t be too tense, the old man’s weak spot is his mental defense, but so-called weak spot is relative to the 97th floor he’s on.”

Xun Hui never doubted that any monster here was a match for the old man.

Compared to Wen Xishu and the others worrying whether the old principal could defeat a Red House, what Xun Hui cared more about was… how easily the old principal evaded the state of no self.

What level has this old man reached?

Albert’s figure suddenly vanished, appearing in front of that eerie monster, and eventually, Albert easily pierced through its body.

Countless pigeons began to fly away, and countless rats scattered around.

The half-skeleton person crumbled to dust on the ground.

What exactly was this creature, what kind of story did it have in the Desire Tower… this is probably a mindset only someone like Wen Xishu, who climbed the Deceit Tower, would have.

For the warriors walking through the Slaughter Tower, raising a blade was the only way to communicate with all kinds of monsters.

A Red House perished without a trace.

The reason it lived slightly longer than a Black House was purely because that killer was wondering if an old acquaintance had shown up.

In the eyes of Nissen Yueyun and Wen Xishu…

The principal killing a Red House was no different from killing a Black House.

The state of no self lifted.

Albert turned back and smiled:

”Alright, the reminiscing ends here, I won’t dwell on the past anymore. Let’s light the bonfire.”

This is the seventy-fourth floor’s area, many monsters, but the bonfire always provides a brief respite of safety.

Albert wasn’t too keen on engaging with the monsters. It was a waste of stamina.

Especially… killing these monsters didn’t even yield experience points for him.

Wen Xishu didn’t know when Sagittarius’s aim would arrive, so he also wanted to take the chance during the break to discuss some matters with the principal.

”Principal, there’s something I’ve always wanted to ask you.”

Nissen and Yue Yun were lighting the bonfire.

Xun Hui sat cross-legged, as if recharging energy.

Even after killing a leader-level and a dominator-level, Albert acted as if nothing happened, smiling as he said:

”Go ahead.”

Wen Xishu was quite curious:

”Your fists are very strong, but twice the damage was purely physical… I know you’re a genius in combat and favor using your fists, but the sequence you acquired, it shouldn’t be limited to just the Extreme Punch, right?”

Albert smiled:

”I’m someone who likes to simplify things, I dislike elaborate showmanship, though I practice technique because it certainly cannot be ignored.”

”But I prefer killing my enemies in the simplest way.”

”Indeed, in the sequences I possess, the Extreme Punch is the most basic one. There are many other very rare sequences. I might as well let you know today.”

This topic caught the attention of Xun Hui, Yue Yun, and Nissen.

A man who climbed to the top of the Slaughter Tower, though he always finishes with a punch, surely has more formidable means, right?

Wen Xishu asked:

”What is your strongest sequence…?”

Albert didn’t keep them in suspense:

”Slaughter Sequence 7 Unity.”

The single-digit number stunned everyone.

Until now, it was the first time Wen Xishu saw a sequence numbered so close to the top.
