Three Towers Game

Here, they detest light.

He could imagine how such heavy curtains, in deep dark red tones, would be enough to absorb all light.

How dark would the room be?

This was a world-famous city. In Wen Xishu’s previous life, many people loved the British style. This city was undoubtedly British in style.

But now it’s daytime, and the Crystal City during the day… is surprisingly so dilapidated.

The clock tower’s hands are frozen in place. At the center of the square, the dried-up fountain’s basin holds a few withered leaves, edges curled. The entire city looks like a massive, intricate etching, with cold, hard lines and heavy shadows.

Wen Xishu didn’t like such a spooky place, but he had no way out. As he suspected, until the ”Savior” was killed, that door seemed unlikely to appear.

”What’s going on? This is clearly a… dead city? Looks like it hasn’t been inhabited for a long time,” Cannon was surprised.

However, Night Demon said,

”It’s daytime now. Maybe that saying is right.”

Canon asked,

”What saying?”

As he asked, he bit his own blood, seemingly preparing some sort of spell.

Night Demon looked around,

”They are like me. No… I’m slightly better; I can move during the day, light doesn’t weaken me, and night strengthens me.”

”But the blood clan is different; the blood clan seems… the light weakens them, and they only move at night.”

Night Demon looked to the sky,

”There are three hours and fifty minutes until nightfall.”

Cynical Cosmos Daisy remarked,

”This place looks like it has truly encountered the apocalypse. If the blood clan really abandoned the day… then is this plan truly considered saving humanity?”

Wen Xishu said,

”After all, there’s nothing to do right now. It seems that there’s no living person in this city; why don’t we check out these houses?”

Wen Xishu pointed to a very luxurious, yet eerily old house, one that could probably be used to shoot detective films if refurbished, like the house of the detective on Baker Street 221B.

Soon, the group went to this house.

The door was locked, but for the assassins, it wasn’t an obstacle; Canon soon picked it:

”You know, I’m passionate about the arts, even lockpicking is an art.”

Canon pushed the door open.

The air was as stagnant as ancient grave soil, carrying a scent mixed with dried roses, old book pages, and some indescribable faint mustiness resembling a damp cold stone cavity.

Canon felt like he was entering a tomb infused with air freshener.

The hall floor was thickly covered in dust. A dressing mirror stood nearby, but it was blurred beyond recognition…

The dust made the reflection of Wen Xishu and others in the mirror appear very distorted.

The light in the house was very dim; it was only because Canon opened the door that some light managed to come in.

Just as Canon was about to close the door, Night Demon suddenly said,

”No! Don’t close the door.”

Canon halted. The door didn’t completely close, leaving a slit open.

The light through the slit looked like a serpent.

Because the door was almost closed, the entrance to the living room looked like a gaping black hole.

The sunlight penetrating the hall had exhausted its strength, unable to reach the depths of the darkness.

Canon intended to open the door, but this door… suddenly seemed to have a will of its own, or pushed by some eerie force.

Suddenly, the whole door slammed shut.

Absolute darkness spread.

Canon tried to open the door, only to find he didn’t touch the doorknob but something extremely cold.

The texture felt like tree bark but also like human skin.

Night Demon seemed to have sensed something and shouted,

”Canon! Be careful! It’s right in front of you!”

Everyone was startled; they couldn’t feel any presence at all and didn’t know what was happening.

Gulp.

The sound of blood being consumed came, and the terror in the darkness bit Canon’s neck in an instant.
