Chapter 493: Chapter 489: Great Power of the Celestial Domain, Qingtian Roc

”The Six Eastern Provinces are not as simple as they seem.” Bai Yuyun’s expression turned extremely solemn.

”Oh? I’m listening.” Ning Jiang’s gaze sharpened.

”On the surface, the Six Eastern Provinces only have the Seven Great Super Sects and seven Kings. The East Sea, however, is far stronger. By myself, I could sweep through all Seven Great Super Sects. Am I wrong?!”

Bai Yuyun enunciated each word.

”Superficially, that’s true.”

Ning Jiang nodded. The East Sea was indeed far stronger than the Six Eastern Provinces.

He hadn’t been in the East Sea for long, but he had already met Meteor King, Sea-Splitting King, the four Five-Star Martial Artists from the Other Shore, and Bai Yuyun.

But these Kings were just a fraction of all the Kings in the East Sea. Many more existed.

”I can tell you that in the entire East Sea, there are nearly one hundred known Kings alone. If you include the hidden ones, the total absolutely exceeds one hundred!”

Bai Yuyun revealed a staggering number. With over one hundred Kings, one could only imagine how powerful the East Sea truly was.

”But for all its power, not a single King from the East Sea has ever considered going to the Six Eastern Provinces to conquer it!” Bai Yuyun’s tone sharpened as she got to the heart of the matter.

Ning Jiang’s eyes slowly narrowed.

He was an intelligent man. He hadn’t known how many Kings the East Sea had, but now that he did, if he couldn’t see that something was amiss, he would be unworthy of the title of Venerable.

With so many Kings crammed into the East Sea, they were bound to fight over all sorts of resources. Such a struggle would inevitably be brutal.

The East Sea was vast, but with over a hundred Kings, how many resources could each of them possibly claim?

Meanwhile, the Six Eastern Provinces had only the Seven Great Super Sects. Logically, the Kings from the East Sea could easily expand their influence there.

Any Four or Five-Star King could simply go over and crush the Seven Great Super Sects.

”It seems there’s an immense power backing the Six Eastern Provinces,” Ning Jiang said calmly.

”You really are clever. You saw right to the heart of it. You’re right. If there wasn’t a great power backing the Six Eastern Provinces, the Kings from the East Sea would have flattened it long ago. How could a few One-Star Kings be allowed to call themselves rulers there?”

Bai Yuyun scoffed.

”What is this immense power?” Ning Jiang asked.

Bai Yuyun’s expression turned serious. ”The Great Thousand Realms are immeasurably vast, and the East Sea is merely the tip of the iceberg. I assume you already know this. The Six Eastern Provinces, however, are connected to a major power from the ’Celestial Domain’—the very center of the Great Thousand Realms!”

”The Celestial Domain!”

Ning Jiang repeated the two words.

”Correct. The central region of the Great Thousand Realms is known as the Celestial Domain! It is the most powerful place in all the Great Thousand Realms. The Eastern Domain, Southern Domain, Northern Domain, Western Domain, and all the Major Seas of the East, South, West, and North must all defer to the Celestial Domain!”

When she spoke of the Celestial Domain, Bai Yuyun’s eyes filled with awe.

”Even the might of the East Sea is nothing compared to the Celestial Domain. The number of Kings there is terrifying. On this matter, Brother Li knows more than I do.”

Bai Yuyun looked toward Golden Cicada. He had been to the Celestial Domain, so he knew it better than anyone.

”The Celestial Domain is indeed an unfathomable place.”

Golden Cicada spoke up. ”I’ve been there. My ascension to the rank of Celestial King was, in fact, due to a great fortune I obtained there. The Celestial Domain is filled with countless geniuses. King’s Bodies emerge frequently, and there are even a fair number of Sacred Bodies. On average, a new King is born there every three years.”

A new King born every three years, on average!

If word of this got out in the Six Eastern Provinces, it would absolutely stun countless people.

In a place like the Six Eastern Provinces, a millennium could pass without a single new King appearing.

Yet in the Celestial Domain, it was one every three years!

’Considering a Celestial Martial Realm King has a lifespan of ten thousand years, doesn’t that mean the Celestial Domain has at least three thousand Kings?’

’Compared to three thousand Kings, the hundred or so Kings of the East Sea were utterly insignificant.’

”There’s a major power from the Celestial Domain backing the Six Eastern Provinces. That’s why the Kings of the East Sea and the Six Eastern Provinces have always kept to themselves, like well water and river water—neither side steps into the other’s territory.”

”To the great powers of the Celestial Domain, the Six Eastern Provinces are simply a recruiting ground for prodigies. Every ten years, these powers come to the Six Eastern Provinces to take away a few Top Level prodigies. In other words, the Seven Great Super Sects are merely a pipeline for funneling talent to the Celestial Domain.”

As Bai Yuyun spoke, she glanced at Golden Cicada and smiled, her lips pursed. ”Honestly, the Six Eastern Provinces were always overlooked in the past. It wasn’t until Brother Li burst onto the scene and became the youngest Celestial King that the great powers of the Celestial Domain started paying attention to the region.”

Ning Jiang nodded at her words.

’The Six Eastern Provinces may be weak, but they can still produce a few monstrous talents. Perhaps they’ll discover another figure like Golden Cicada.’

”I recall it’s been nearly ten years since the people from the Celestial Domain last visited the Six Eastern Provinces. If I’m not mistaken, they should be arriving soon. You’ll be able to see them then,” Bai Yuyun said.

”I’ll be able to see them?” Ning Jiang asked in surprise.

”Those great powers from the Celestial Domain love to make a grand entrance. Every trip they take is a huge spectacle. And to get from the Celestial Domain to the Six Eastern Provinces, they have to pass through our East Sea.”

...

WHOOSH!

High above in the Nine Heavens, a colossal cyan bird soared, traversing the vast sky.

It was immense. Its wingspan stretched a full hundred li, and its body was covered in azure feathers. Its broad back, dozens of li across, was like a small island.

At this moment, it was carrying entire palaces on its back.

The palaces billowed with radiant mist and emanated shimmering rays of light, making them look like the fabled Celestial Palaces of legend.

”My heavens, what kind of bird is that?”

With a single beat of its wings, the great bird shot forward a thousand li. Below it lay the boundless sea. The gales from its wings whipped the water’s surface into towering waves.

Countless Martial Artists were left stunned by the sight of the giant bird.

”What’s all the fuss about? That’s a Qingtian Roc.”

”A Qingtian Roc? That’s a creature ranked among the top one hundred of the Demon Race. What’s it doing here in the East Sea?”

”Heh heh, if I’m not mistaken, the people from the Celestial Domain must be on the move. The great powers there are always so high and mighty, with an ingrained sense of superiority. They love to make an earth-shattering entrance like this every time they travel.”

”To tame a Qingtian Roc as a mount... that power is truly terrifying.”

”Of course. This great power is one of the Celestial Domain’s Top Level academies. Judging by their direction, they must be heading for the Six Eastern Provinces.”

The Qingtian Roc’s journey left all who witnessed it in a state of shock.

Three days later, the Qingtian Roc had crossed more than half of the East Sea and entered the Chaotic Sea Region.
