Immortal Sword Master

Chapter 462: Chapter 458: Meng Tianyu’s Dominance, Meng Zihao

Cyan Spirit Island.

The Chu Family.

”I didn’t think a storm like this, the kind you only see once every few decades, would stop so soon.”

The speaker was a portly, middle-aged man dressed in lavish clothes, a Jade Ring on his thumb.

This was Chu Hong, Patriarch of the Chu Family and Island Master of Cyan Spirit Island. His cultivation had reached the Earth Martial Realm Middle Stage, making him a prominent expert in the nearby sea regions.

”Earlier, thunderbolts surged within the storm clouds and rushed eastward. It looked like some great expert was using the storm to cultivate.”

Beside him, Chu Qingqing spoke slowly. The sight of countless thunderbolts surging eastward had been utterly stunning.

”Qingqing, Xiu’Er, what happened with you two this time? Did you have a fight?”

Chu Hong changed the subject, looking at the daughters on either side of him.

”Hmph.” At the mention of this, Chu Qingqing became quite displeased. ”Father, you don’t know. We went out to sea and rescued someone. Later, when we ran into the Blood Skull Pirate Gang, someone stepped in and saved us. It was obviously Hua Feiyu’s doing, but Xiu’Er insists it was that man named Ning Jiang.”

”Father, it was Brother Ning who saved us! Hua Feiyu is a liar!” Chu Xiu’Er said with a serious expression.

”Xiu’Er, don’t speak nonsense! Hua Feiyu is not someone the Chu Family can afford to offend. If he heard what you said, I’m afraid it would cause a rift between our family and him,” Chu Hong quickly chided.

”But...” Chu Xiu’Er tried to argue, but Chu Hong waved his hand to stop her. ”I’m usually too lenient with you, letting you spout whatever nonsense you want. That’s enough for today.”

Hearing this, Chu Xiu’Er pressed her red lips together, aggrieved.

She knew her father didn’t believe her at all.

”Qingqing, Hua Feiyu is a fine young man. He’s one of the top three geniuses in our Meteor Sea Region and is infatuated with you. What are your thoughts?” Ignoring his crestfallen younger daughter, Chu Hong turned to ask.

”Father, I’m not thinking about romance right now. My trip to the Six Eastern Provinces taught me that there’s always a higher mountain to climb, a stronger person to meet. While Hua Feiyu may be impressive, that’s only within the Meteor Sea Region. In the context of the entire East Sea, he’s nothing special.”

Chu Qingqing shook her head. She was a proud and ambitious person. Only a Top Level genius renowned throughout the entire East Sea would even fall within her consideration.

”Where is Chu Qingqing?”

Just as the father and his two daughters were talking, a tremendous voice suddenly boomed from the sky above.

The two of them looked up together, only to see more than a dozen figures descending from the sky.

”It’s actually Meng Tianyu!”

Chu Hong recognized the young man in the lead with a single glance. His expression changed instantly as he hurried forward, clasping his hands in a respectful bow. ”I am Chu Hong. Greetings, Young Master Meng. I was unaware of your esteemed arrival and failed to welcome you from afar. I beg your forgiveness!”

Meng Tianyu was, after all, the son of a King. Chu Hong naturally didn’t dare to be disrespectful, especially since Meng Tianyu was accompanied by numerous experts, none of whom were weaker than him.

”No need for formalities.” Meng Tianyu waved his hand, his gaze falling upon Chu Qingqing with satisfaction. ”You have the sharp aura of a Sword Cultivator, and your looks are indeed beautiful. I presume you must be Chu Qingqing?”

”Young Master Meng, what business do you have with me?”

Chu Qingqing frowned. She had heard of this Demon Lord of Mayhem’s wicked reputation, but the two of them had never crossed paths. ’What could Meng Tianyu suddenly want with me?’

”I do have business, and it’s good news.”

Meng Tianyu snapped his fingers and said coolly, ”I’ve always been a straightforward person, so I’ll get right to the point. I want you to go and serve someone.”

”What?”

Chu Qingqing’s expression changed drastically in an instant.

”Don’t be nervous,” Meng Tianyu said. ”This Mr. Ning isn’t some old man. On the contrary, he’s even younger than you. And his strength is supreme—killing an Earth Martial Realm expert is as easy for him as taking something from his own pocket. If you can win his favor, it will be your good fortune.”

”My apologies, Young Master Meng, but I’m afraid I cannot accept,” Chu Qingqing said coldly. ’How could she accept being treated like a piece of merchandise, ordered about by others?’

”Cannot accept?”

Meng Tianyu’s gaze turned as cold as ice. ”That’s fine too. I’ll just slaughter every last member of the Chu Family, down to the last chicken and dog!”

BOOM!

As his voice fell, the dozen or so experts accompanying him all erupted with chilling killing intent, which pressed down on them like a collapsing sky.

Chu Hong and the others grunted, their faces paling. Chu Hong quickly said, ”Young Master Meng, please calm your anger.”

Chu Qingqing’s face was also pale, and she felt as if she were about to suffocate. She believed this Demon Lord of Mayhem was absolutely capable of carrying out his threat.

”Chu Qingqing, I’ll give you three breaths to consider. If you don’t agree, you will die.”

”Three.”

”Two.”

”One!”

”I agree.” Just as Meng Tianyu counted to one, Chu Qingqing closed her eyes in grief and indignation, having made her choice.

”Wait. I do not approve.”

Suddenly, a voice rang out. A figure walked forward—it was none other than Hua Feiyu, who was a guest of the Chu Family.

”Oh? I remember you. You’re Hua Feiyu of the Hua Family,” Meng Tianyu said, recognizing him.

”I must ask Young Master Meng to take back what you just said and not make things difficult for the Chu Family,” Hua Feiyu said.

”Insolent!” Meng Tianyu’s eyes flew open as he bellowed, ”Who the hell do you think you are, daring to question my words?”

”You!” Hua Feiyu was furious. ’As one of the top three geniuses in the Meteor Sea Region, when had he ever been treated with such disrespect?’ But the thought of Meng Tianyu’s status gave him pause.

”Young Master Meng, your esteemed brother Meng Zihao and I are good friends. I don’t believe he would approve of your actions,” Hua Feiyu said slowly.

Hearing this, Meng Tianyu’s eyes slowly narrowed.

It was common knowledge throughout the Meteor Sea Region that he was the Meteor King’s only biological heir. But nominally, the Meteor King actually had two sons.

Meng Zihao was one of them. The difference was, Meng Zihao was an adopted son the Meteor King had taken in as a child, whereas he was the biological son. Furthermore, Meng Zihao’s talent far surpassed his own; he was widely considered the number one expert of the younger generation in the Meteor Sea Region!

However, he and this sworn brother, Meng Zihao, were not on good terms!

”So what if it’s Meng Zihao? He has no right to interfere in my affairs! If you dare to stop me now, I’ll have your blood splattered on the spot,” Meng Tianyu said domineeringly.

”Fine. Fine. I’ll go to Meteor Island myself and ask Zihao to seek justice for me then.”

Hua Feiyu’s face was ashen. Killing intent brewed in his heart; if he weren’t wary of Meng Tianyu’s status, he would have slapped him to death on the spot.

”Take them away.”

At Meng Tianyu’s command, Chu Qingqing, Chu Xiu’Er, and Chu Hong were all taken away together.

”Meng Tianyu, you’re nothing but a piece of trash. Let’s see how long you can act so smug once Brother Zihao gets here.”

After they left, Hua Feiyu also shot into the sky, heading for Meteor Island.

「At the same time.」

Throughout the entire Meteor Sea Region, numerous young geniuses were rushing from all directions toward Meteor Island to participate in the grand event held once every five years.
