Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Fifth Update

Second Aunt couldn’t outargue Qian, so she yelled, ”Is there anyone breathing in this house? Get out here quickly! That brainless girl raised by an old hag, bringing some worthless thing to make trouble at my door! Her father, get out here quickly!”

Jia Xiufang tugged on Qian’s sleeve, ”You leave first, don’t be frightened.”

Jia Xiufang told her to leave, so Qian walked out, brushing past her shirtless Second Uncle.

A brash laugh from Second Aunt could still be heard from behind.

”See that? What’s the use of raising a daughter? All she knows is to run away. She’s someone else’s person in the end anyway, what does she have to do with you, Jia Xiufang? Hahaha, little girl, when I was making my way through these parts, you were still a snot-nosed kid sucking milk, trying to fight me!”

Qian really couldn’t be bothered to listen to what was said afterward; she rushed into her Second Uncle’s house like a gust of wind.

The whole family was behind; the two kids lived upstairs and didn’t get involved in such matters. The room was empty, with the phone placed in the most conspicuous spot.

Qian picked up the phone and gracefully dialed three numbers.

”Hello, I’m calling from No. ×, × Street, White Tower Ridge Village. There’s someone here abusing the elderly. Please send officers immediately. Okay, thank you, I will wait at the door to greet your officers.”

After making the call, Qian stepped out of the door. Because the public security in the urban village was not good, there was a police station here, and it would take only a few minutes for them to arrive.

After waiting for less than 5 minutes, two uniformed officers arrived, and Qian waved to them.

”Who made the call?”

”I did. Here’s what’s happening inside: my uncle’s family is abusing the elderly, and the elder is hurt. You’ll see when you go inside.”

”Do you need us to provide any help? In such family disputes, unless the elder is severely injured, we can only give your uncle a verbal warning and education.”

”I need to take the elder to the hospital for treatment. I’m afraid my uncle won’t let us take the elder, so I need your help.”

Qian spoke so clearly that they couldn’t help but look at her more than once. Such a young girl, yet so organized.

Following them inside, Qian smirked internally.

These two would be her witnesses. Once the police were called, today’s events would be recorded. When Qian later sues her Second Uncle’s family, what’s that called?

Evidence!

Second Aunt and Second Uncle were both teaming up to belittle Jia Xiufang, their voices almost shaking the roof.

”Aren’t you eager to act all filial? Take this old hag to your house immediately, don’t bring her back to me!”

”Weren’t we supposed to do 20 days at my house and 10 at yours?” Jia Xiufang was in tears, wiping her eyes.

When others quarrel, they have their men; she was all alone, and even her daughter wouldn’t help her...

”Oh, really? Who told you 20 days? Did we write it in black and white? This old hag is making trouble at my house; my place is small and can’t accommodate her. If you don’t take her away, I’ll move her to the streets, let the neighbors see this old hag who poops herself, and her daughter won’t even wash her pants, making a laughingstock out of you!”

”You!”

Jia Xiufang was so angry she couldn’t speak; in her panic, she couldn’t keep up, losing focus again.

”The elder stayed at my place for 10 days and you all hoard the money. I paid for the IV fluids at my place, the elder likes fruit, but why don’t you buy any for her? My place never lacked fruit, and fruit isn’t expensive. Peaches are one for five pounds now, how come you never bought some for the elder...”

Qian brought people in, hearing her mom arguing and going off track again, she almost rolled her eyes.

”Don’t use a double standard against my mom. According to customs, daughters come home to do laundry because they don’t have to bear the obligation of support. According to law, both sons and daughters have inheritance and support rights. Second Aunt, you’re playing a nice game here. You follow the law for inheritance but customs for behavior, getting all the advantages for yourself. Where do you place the law?”

”Haha, the worthless one came back again. Let me tell you, law is nothing! I’m the law!”

”Miss, watch what you’re saying.” Once these two officers showed up, Second Aunt was dumbfounded, her arrogant expression frozen, looking quite absurd.

Didn’t expect this worthless girl to actually call the police!

Seeing her daughter bringing people in, Jia Xiufang was equally startled, gasping for breath.

”Officers, why are you here? There’s no wrongdoing here!” Second Uncle immediately stepped forward, trying to offer them cigarettes from his pocket, which were sternly rejected.

”We received a report of elder abuse here, and we’re here to check. Is this the elder in question?”

Pointing at the elder, who had been crying continuously, Grandma got scared upon seeing people in uniform, shaking her head vigorously, ”No one is bullying me, no one is bullying me...”

Even now, she still sides with her son.

No matter how many times the son wrongs her, he’s still her own son.

”Officers, please look at this wound on my grandma’s head, the bruises on her body, and her pants—” Qian pointed to the dirty pants that hadn’t been changed. From what seeped out, anyone could guess what was in there.

The visitors frowned, and Second Aunt hurriedly intervened.

”We were just about to change it. This silly girl, why report to the police? Quickly take them to the front, let them have some water and rest!”

”Please photograph the elder’s current injuries. I want to take the elder to the hospital for a disability evaluation.” Qian was the only one in the room who remained calm.

Jia Xiufang was petrified, tugging at Qian’s arm repeatedly, pleading not to make it such a big deal, asking what she was doing!

”Mom, don’t worry about me. This matter concerns my grandma’s personal safety. As a child, allowing their malice to go unchecked is the greatest harm to the elder. Please witness this moment. Now, I must take the elder to the hospital, and I ask that you educate these elder abusers.”

The two officers exchanged a glance and told Qian, ”We need to hear the elder’s side of the story.”

In such family conflicts, they still needed to hear what the involved parties had to say.

Qian naturally knew this process; her years of studying hadn’t been for nothing.

”My grandma is currently injured and speaking incoherently. Please allow us to take her to the hospital first, and once you’ve educated the unfilial ones, you can find my grandma at the hospital for a statement.”

”Chen Xiaoqian, you ××!” Second Uncle swore.

He seemed to want to approach Qian but was blocked by the police.

”Sir, watch your actions!”

With the people’s protectors here, he dared to hit someone; too outrageous!

As they left with the elder, Jia Xiufang felt her heart pounding, thinking her daughter was making a huge scene. She didn’t know why, but seeing the calm and collected expression on Qian’s face, she felt as though her daughter was planning something.

Jia Xiufang guessed correctly. In Qian’s mind, there was already a quick and effective plan to help her mother contend for the property. Besides that two-story building, Jia Xiufang’s personal assets were about to increase.
