After Gender Transformation, I Was Adjusted by the System into the Demon Queen’s Strongest Maid

“Don’t make me wait too long.”

By the time Lilia steadied herself and clearly saw her surroundings again, Hera’s figure had completely disappeared.

“Phew…”

Lilia let out a long breath, feeling as though she had just strolled past the gates of hell and returned.

Being alive was good.

BOOM——!!!

A massive boulder the size of a truck came crashing down with a howling wind, smashing into the ground less than five meters from Lilia.

Fragments of stone scattered, dust billowed.

The heart Lilia had just calmed instantly shot back up to her throat.

Peace, my ass!

She looked up.

The dozens-of-meters-tall headless giant was wildly swinging its pillar-like arms, crazily destroying everything around it.

And beneath the giant’s feet, a streak of purple was darting around with difficulty.

It was Camilla.

The Succubus Duke could only be described as utterly disheveled right now.

Her once alluring purple high-slit dress had turned into something like a beggar’s outfit, the hem torn into strips, exposing large patches of dust-covered skin.

The long whip in her hand still flickered with a dangerous purple glow, but each swing now seemed somewhat powerless.

“Damn it… why is this thing getting harder the more I hit it?!”

Camilla cursed as she dodged a heavy punch from the giant.

“Hey! You in the purple rags!”

Just as Camilla was about to burn her source magic power and go all out, a familiar voice suddenly came from the side.

She turned her head sharply.

There stood Lilia atop a massive rock, hands on her hips, looking completely refreshed.

“You…”

Camilla almost choked on her breath.

I’m fighting for my life here—where the hell were you, getting a spa?!

Lilia ignored Camilla’s murderous glare.

She stretched her neck, producing a series of crackling sounds.

“Move aside!”

“This kind of rough work—leave it to me!”

Since the boss had spoken and wanted to see performance—

then she had to give two hundred percent!

The frustration from being suppressed by that bastard Garrod earlier, and the fear of nearly being scared to death by Hera—

all of it would be vented on this big lump!

Lilia took a deep breath, preparing to activate 【Shadow Step (Intermediate)】 and charge forward.

At that moment—

【Ding!】

【Host, what are you doing? Dancing?】

Lilia froze.

“Sys… tem?”

She asked through gritted teeth in her mind.

【Hey, I’m here.】

The system’s voice sounded lazy, even carrying a hoarseness as if it had just woken up.

【Ah… that was a comfortable sleep. Why does it feel so noisy outside?】

Lilia’s fist clenched.

Literally clenched.

“You were… sleeping just now?”

Her voice was eerily calm—like the ocean before a storm.

【Yeah, I slept for… uh, checking backend logs, about four hours?】

The system seemed completely unaware of the killing intent from its host.

【Mainly because that wave of data this morning was too huge. Even though it was blocked for privacy protection at the time, the core algorithm in the backend overheated—I couldn’t help it.】

【Besides, that level of “battle” (on the bed), even an AI like me couldn’t assist, so I might as well hibernate and save energy.】

Lilia took a deep breath.

Endure.

She couldn’t punch her own head—that would just make her look like an idiot.

“So…”

“You suddenly resurrected now—for what?”

“To check whether I’m completely dead so you can switch to a new host?”

The system fell silent for two seconds.

Then its voice suddenly became extremely cheerful—even a little fawning.

【How could that be! Host, you’re my precious treasure!】

【I just saw that the timing was right!】

【Look, that SSS-Rank high-difficulty mission this morning—the one where you XXX for Her Majesty.】

【Because I crashed from overload at the time, the rewards weren’t settled.】

【The moment I woke up, I immediately thought of giving you your benefits!】

【This is an SSS-Rank ultra-rare reward! To make up for not being able to chat with you earlier, I even applied for extra compensation from the Main God Space!】

Lilia’s eyelid twitched.

Even though this useless system was unreliable.

Even though it always failed at critical moments.

But…

SSS-Rank reward?

And extra compensation?

She glanced at the raging giant in the distance, then at Camilla, who was already being forced into a corner.

This big guy wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Sharpening the axe doesn’t delay the chopping of wood.

“Cough.”

Lilia straightened her posture and replied coldly in her mind.

“Spit it out.”

“If you try to fool me with glass beads or scraps of cloth…”

“I’ll really go defect to Camilla!”

【Ding! Detected stable emotional state. Reward channel opening!】

【Mission: Ultimate Sacrifice of a Humble Maid (Pseudo)—Settlement Complete!】

【Rating: SSS (This is not something a human could do!)】

【Distributing rewards…】

As golden light exploded across her vision—

a treasure chest icon, dazzling and filled with a sense of high-end brilliance, slowly appeared.

At the same time—

the headless giant in the distance seemed to notice the commotion.

It turned its massive body, the giant mouth on its chest suddenly opening wide.

ROAR——!!!

The soundwave, carrying a foul gale, surged forward.

But Lilia didn’t even blink.

All her attention had been completely drawn to the golden chest that was slowly opening.

This glow.

These effects.

Could it be…

Did it actually drop something good?

The light from the golden chest was dazzling.

Please don’t be trash.

Please, don’t let it be something like 【Lace Suspender Stockings (Attack Speed Version)】 or 【Fruit Platter Carving Technique】 again.

In the current situation, that headless giant was swinging its concrete-pillar arms like it was demolishing everything, and even Camilla was rolling around trying to survive. If the item wasn’t combat-usable—even a chest full of gold coins would be useless if she died before spending it!

“Dear gods, I’m willing to trade ten years of the system’s singlehood for a god-tier weapon…”

Lilia muttered frantically in her mind.
