After Gender Transformation, I Was Adjusted by the System into the Demon Queen’s Strongest Maid

“I saw those insect egg monsters in Batori’s mine tunnel—they should be their creations.”

Lilia raised her head and looked straight into Hera’s eyes.

“That little Succubus—if she wasn’t just a simple spy, then she was very likely a planted agent from the ‘Immortality Society.’ They wanted to lure me away, either to kidnap me and threaten you, or… to turn me into new experimental material.”

The more Lilia spoke, the more she felt that her reasoning was airtight—simply flawless.

Was this the legendary “over-analysis”?

Adding drama to her own thoughts, yet doing it with such solid logic.

Hera looked at Lilia’s serious analysis and worried expression, and the amusement in her heart was almost impossible to suppress.

How could this little one’s imagination be so wild?

However… the “Immortality Society”…

Those rats hiding in the gutters—dabbling in disgusting dark magic was one thing, but now they actually dared to reach under her very nose, even attempting to touch her people?

Although that “little Succubus” was fake, the “threat” Lilia deduced was real.

If those pests weren’t crushed, this little cat probably wouldn’t even sleep peacefully.

“You’re right.”

Hera nodded along with Lilia’s words, speaking nonsense with a completely serious face. “It seems the palace is indeed not clean.”

Hearing this, Lilia’s spirits immediately lifted. “Then should I take people to—”

“No need.”

Hera closed the book and casually tossed it onto the table, producing a soft “pa” sound.

She stood up, her tall figure casting a long shadow in the candlelight. That overwhelming aura of ruling over all returned to her once more.

“I originally planned to take you out for a stroll, to see some scenery.” Hera adjusted her sleeve, her tone as casual as commenting on the weather. “But now it seems the itinerary needs to change.”

Lilia’s heart skipped a beat. “Change? Change to where?”

Hera lowered her head, looking at Lilia who was still kneeling on the carpet, and extended her hand.

Lilia instinctively placed her hand into it.

With a slight pull from Hera, she was lifted up. The distance between them instantly closed—so close that Lilia could count the faint tremble of Hera’s eyelashes.

“That ‘Dark Moon Canyon’ transaction—isn’t it tomorrow night?”

Hera’s voice was low and elegant, like the prelude to death.

“Since they’ve already set up the stage, if we don’t go show our support, wouldn’t that be rather disrespectful?”

Lilia swallowed. “You mean… we’re going to the arrest scene?”

Hera turned around and walked toward the floor-to-ceiling window. Outside, a massive red moon hung above the spires of the Palace of Eternal Night, dyeing the entire Demon Realm in blood-red.

“As for that so-called ‘Immortality Society’…” Hera’s finger lightly traced across the glass, leaving behind a pale streak, “since they seek immortality, I shall be merciful and grant them eternal… silence in death.”

Lilia looked at Hera’s back, feeling a surge of heat rush straight to her head.

Although it was violent…

It was really cool!

Was this what it felt like to cling to a powerful backer? Was this the joy of borrowing a tiger’s might?

For the entire day, Lilia was practically a human-shaped accessory that had grown legs.

Hera didn’t say much about it.

Only occasionally, when Lilia served tea too frequently or got too close and even stepped on her skirt hem, would Hera let out a soft snort through her nose. A trace of helplessness flashed in her golden eyes, but more than that… it was indulgence, like one would have toward a clingy cat.

This strange yet harmonious “deep master-servant bond” continued until late into the night.

……

At the same time. The spire where Mary resided.

Inside the room at the top of the tower, pink lace curtains fluttered wildly in the night wind.

The room’s arrangement was extremely divided.

On the left were piles of all kinds of cute plush toys, a pink carpet, and a delicate dressing table—it was practically the dream bedroom of every little girl with princess fantasies.

On the right, however, were various torture instruments still dripping with unknown fluids. On the wall hung several “leather specimens” that had been cleaned thoroughly but still retained a humanoid shape. The air was filled with a sickeningly sweet smell of blood.

Mary sat right in the middle of these two extremes on the large bed.

She wore an intricate black lace nightgown, her pale little feet bare, still tightly hugging that one-eyed brown bear whose eyeball was about to fall out.

But at this moment, this “Bloody Mary,” who usually wore an innocent yet cruel smile, had a face filled with something that didn’t belong at her age… worry.

Genuine worry.

So worried that she didn’t even feel like gouging out the eyeball in her hand.

“Sigh……”

Mary let out a long sigh, her small body falling backward into the soft bed.

“A miscalculation… we seem to have caused trouble.”

She raised the Broken Teddy Bear in her hand, speaking to the ceiling.

“Did I forget to say something important? Like… the instructions manual?”

Beside the bed, a tall and full-figured woman knelt on the ground.

She wore a conservative yet perfectly tailored maid dress. Her long black hair was tied up behind her head, revealing a slender and fair neck. With lowered eyes, her hands carefully and steadily massaged Mary’s legs—which weren’t even tired.

Hearing Mary’s sigh, the woman’s body trembled almost imperceptibly.

Her name was Syl.

She had once been a somewhat famous demon in the Demon Realm, thriving with her masterful mind control techniques. Until half a year ago, when she was unfortunately taken a liking to by Mary and captured to serve as her “personal nanny.”

In this line of work, being Mary’s nanny was only slightly less dangerous than being Hera’s punching bag.

The previous nanny had turned into part of the wall decoration after accidentally pulling out a single strand of Mary’s hair while combing it.

“Master…” Syl’s voice tightened slightly, “do you… have something on your mind?”
