The hivemind is conquering for me?

I began walking, explaining everything that has been happening to Onyx. The kissing, my feelings on it. Everything down to the last minute detail. She listened patiently, calmly, allowing me to say my piece without interruptions. I had assumed she was putting everything together to give me her valid take on everything, but inside of my link, all I heard was the word.

”Interesting.”

I actively stopped my stride after realising she wasn’t adding onto her word. ”That is it?” I asked. Prompting Onyx to reply.

”Would you rather I use my previous foresights to tell you what I have seen in our future, my universe? You and I both know that you don’t like being told about fixed points and I wont make that mistake again. Give me a moment, I will pull the other one through, she understands others emotions better than I.”

As she said that, I suddenly felt Onyx’s presence change within my Mindspace and I almost became suffocated from the love I was feeling. Onyx then continued to speak, being puppeteered by future Onyx.

”Follow what you think is the right path, my infinite. It is the correct path no matter which you take. If this is the correct time, you will experience a lot of surprise, slight betrayal and happiness all in a short amount of time either way. So follow your heart, my love. It is the greatest truth in this universe! Now stay still I am going to have my way with y-”

Onyx began wrestling with Future Onyx for the control of her body. I let the cutie do just that and continued my walk, pondering what the Psionic engram meant. There was a lot to think about my future right now and I didn’t want to go home till I thought everything through.

Perhaps my subconscious sensed this as upon looking up from my feet, I found myself in front of my dispensation building. ”Hmm, why not? Actually scratch that, I need food first.”

...

Twenty minutes later, I returned a lot warmer and a lot happier with a belly full of food. Before entering the building, I told the two guards the description of the two newcomers coming today and made my way inside.

The lab was exactly as I left it when I dropped off the blood yesterday. I had scheduled the dispensation group to start in the afternoon and it was close to five am. I had plenty of time to prepare for that later, for now though. I decided to have some fun.

Taking inventory of everything I had, I smiled realizing I had more than enough biomass, erm, donated residual tissue to recreate one of my more favourite tools I had back home. Sure, I had microscopes, but these were just infinitely better.

...

Savitri was sitting in his designated café, drinking his bean water with a smile on his face. The reason? A news bulletin on his data pad. ’Wendy Cacia. Missing. Family offering rewards for information of whereabouts.’

After her little escapade of breaking a window the other day, His father and mother were livid and were seriously planning on punishing the favourite. However, it had been a few days and nothing... Savitri’s father was getting increasingly more worried about his daughter and had practically forgotten she flooded a good portion of the compound.

Savitri felt conflicted by the news. He felt happy as the original betrayer of the family might be dead, but on the other hand, he wanted to be the one to kill her. His thoughts of sororicide were unfortunately interrupted as a figure sat down to share his table.

He politely started. ” Sorry, do you mind moving? I want to sit... Alone?” He was then overcome with a sense of confusion, joy, worry, concern and glee and not all of those emotions were his own. Having access to a good portion of Samantha’s memories and feeling her presence watching him through the under link at the presence in front of him, he asked.

”Delilah? What are you doing here?” He asked. Delilah breathed out in relief hearing her own name spoken by the stranger.

”Oh thank Apollo... I couldn’t tell if it was you or not, your new scent is completely different to ours. Do you mind?” Delilah asked, pointing to the cup of coffee. Savitri waved his hand in acceptance, this was a superior. Even if it wasn’t of his family, she was still like him. From what he knew thanks to Samantha, she and this Delilah were very close. Practically sisters.

Delilah chugged the coffee hastily and sighed in satisfaction. ”Mmh, thank you. I don’t think I have consumed a beverage without alcohol in it for days... Sorry, I’m a little disheveled, I had to run here in these heels, I don’t have that much time.”

”No problem, Delilah. I am here to help you with anything I can. What has happened? From what I have access to, your job on Ecumenopolis 4 is extremely important, shouldn’t you still be there?”

Savitri began frowning. He hasn’t used the under link much with Samantha blocking out her location, all the information pouring into his head was confusing to sort through, he hadn’t mutated enough for pure clarity yet.

Delilah smirked at the man’s frown. ”Take a deep breath, Cacia. I am sure Samantha is freaking out due to me being here. Just focus on what you need to know and nothing else. You will get used to it in time, trust me, I have a lot of experience.”

Savitri smiled and composed himself once he did so, Delilah began. ”First, everything is fine back home. I have just been... Repurposed.”

”Repurposed?” Savitri guffawed. He then leant in and whispered. ”You were the secretary to the planetary defence general. That is pretty fucking important, what could you possibly be here for-”

”Zeona.”

Savitri just gained more access to information about the recently ended gang war on Euc 4. ”The real leader of Talos? You are friends with her? That is... Wow.” Savitri was bewildered by how influential the sister cult was. They had ’friends’ in high places.

Delilah smiled. ”I know. Now, I can’t stay for long, she is going to come and look for me soon and with what I know about her, she will find me. So, Samantha, can you meet me tonight? I am staying at the golden reef.

Savitri suddenly lost all emotion in his face and started shaking violently for only a moment before his face turned into a cocky smile. ”Ooh! I’ve not tried this yet! Feels weird. Hey girl! Sure, I have some trustworthiness to look after things, oh you will love Beverly, she is basically me when we first converted. I’ll see you later tonight.

Delilah smiled and stood up. ”Brilliant. It will be nice to catch up Sammy, I miss feeling your presence with the rest of us.”

”It’s Samantha, stop it.” Samantha said, smiling through Savitri. ”I miss you all as well.”

After Delilah left, Savitri regained control of his body and felt a pleasant chill go up his spine. ’That... That was incredible.’

...

Samantha relinquished her authority over Savitri, a smile plastered on her lips. She had not expected to see Delilah today. It was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Samantha was sitting down on a large golden throne in her new office that her predecessor had left her. She put her feet up on the desk in front of her and called out . ”Wendy! Beverly!”

The thick reinforced iron door to the office that was left ajar was then pushed open with a grunt and Wendy walked in, Beverly right behind her. ”Boss?” Wendy asked.

”Do you need us to kill someone else for your glorious purpose?” Beverly followed up. A glint in her eye that reminded Samantha a bit too much of her bestie. Still, Samantha chuckled.

”Maybe later Bev, I called you in to inform you that I need to go up to the service. I decided to give you both the chance to prove yourselves tonight. Beverly. I am placing you in charge of the slaughterhouse and making sure those cucks the next district over don’t get curious about our business again. They don’t understand our power yet and might try another probe into our territory, but we need to consolidate for a while and cannot cease their existence yet. Also, I have made it so you can reach inside the trap to fetch the goods, so we can continue our business.”

Beverly’s eyes went wide and a smile laced with reverence took over her face. She then pulled out a knife from the back of her belt and cut her own hand, letting the blood pool for a moment, before smearing the blood all over her face. Once done, she looked directly at Samantha and declared.

”This is all the blood that will be spilled under my watch, my lady. Any other blood will be that of our enemies! This I swear to you oh magnanimous one! She, who arrived to spread her gift to us all!”

Samantha couldn’t help smiling seeing such a display ’She is fucking nuts. I love it.’ She then reached into her desk draw and pulled out two vials and chucked them to Beverly. The woman’s bloody face lit up before excusing herself.

Samantha then turned to Wendy and smiled.

”Now, for the more sensible one. You are going to...”
