The hivemind is conquering for me?

”Apollo? What the shit? We thought you got expelled?” Ivy walked over with her brother, Alder, surprise and excitement apparent in both their eyes. ”Expelled?” I parroted, confused. ”Why would I be- Oh! The dome!” I said, realising how the last time I saw them went. ”Right. No, the praetorian is my friend, Look she is over there. It was all a misunderstanding.

Alder and Ivy looked over towards where I pointed and their eyes went wide in shock. ”Wow.”

Ivy then looked back at me shortly after while Alder continued to look towards Nerissa. ”Wait. Uh oh. If you are in this class, does that mean it’s going to be difficult? I remember you being pretty smart in this Psionic stuff. Honestly, Alder and I have been stuck in the library all week and we are really struggling to get a grasp on this stuff. Isn’t that Right A- Stop gawking at her!” Ivy chastised her brother, smacking him on the shoulder.

”Oww.” Alder winced femininely before pouting. ”I was just admiring her armour...” Prompting Ivy to scoff. ”Oh, just admiring the armour with the nipples on it? Stop being a perv.”

”No, its not going to be difficult, its just the basics, you have nothing to worry about.” I reassured her. Ivy then turned back to me. ”Can we sit with you then? Or are you reserving theses seats?” She pointed to my right. I gestured openly at her question. ”Sit away. Sitting next to friends is much better than strangers.”

My response got a grunt of disapproval from Orchid who would have to sit next to a random per-

”Orchid! Wow no way! We are in the same class! What a coincidence!” My head careened away from Alder and Ivy who took their seats next to me and towards the man who was walking towards Orchid... Jovially?

”Ouch!” I proclaimed as I pinched myself, testing reality before Orchid cracked open the mystery. ”Moran... Hello. Apollo, this one is the one I mentioned to you.” She said, quickly turning her attention away from the man in front of her.

”Moran, A pleasure to make your acquaintance.” I said extending my hand over. The man might be into me, but I didn’t need to treat him any differently because of that. And if my suspicion was correct and he was actually interested in Orchid... Well, he would learn the hard way without my intervention. ”Um. Likewise, Apollo.” Moran said with a frown. Before turning back to Orchid.

”So, can I sit with you? I can’t see anyone else I know here.” Orchid sighed. Annoyed already. ”I suppose someone has to. Might as well be you.” She said, thinking to herself. ’Better one Apollo won’t be interested in instead of some slutty prey flaunting their breasts at him.’

It might have been a mistake though as the Thing next to her began speaking more, in a hushed tone. ”So, what’s the deal with the Sepiida? Won’t it get bored?”

I then commented, as a whisper this close to me was easy to hear if your name wasn’t Fergus. ”My Sepiida wanted to be here, so I brought her. Simple. If she gets bored, she knows how to keep herself entertained. Don’t You Cutie?” I said, leaning to my side and kissing Janine on the cheek, continuing the act.

Janine then channelled her inner Talia and agreed. ”Yep! I can paint my nails or brush my hair. OOH! If I try really hard I could count to a hundred! That will keep me busy for hours! Ugh...” She ended by rolling her eyes before then turning her attention back to her piece of paper, doing her best to ignore the tingling on her cheek.

”I-I see.” Moran stuttered, not expecting to be heard. He decided to just be quiet for a while to think up a plan. Just being close to Orchid was enough for now. Proximity gave way to opportunity after all.

As more people began filling in, I saw two others that I recognised. Tamara and Francesca from the training session. They seemed to spot me as well, Francesca began the motion of waving towards familiars, but Tamara very loudly scoffed in derision before tugging her friend towards the back of the hall.

A few more filled in after them, but shortly after, the place was pretty full. The atmosphere was... Electric. So many people talking about their excitement. Feeling that excitement in the air was infectious.

I took a moment to ground myself. To truly appreciate where I was. Me. A nobody. A lucky nobody. Who could once a long time ago only dream of something like this. I was here in an institute of learning space magic with my amazing lovers. My chonk and my own flame at- Concept of fire keeping my Mindspace comfy and full of love. I had an adoptive mother who literally loves me so much she took a job here to be closer to me. And my best friend by my side who was looking so cute sitting there locked in on that Psionic bullet instructions.

’I am blessed.’

A serenity washed over my body and Mindspace, My Origin felt amazing and the mild headache of the stick vanished. I was feeling good. That good feeling only grew as the teachers entered the room.

I shook my head with a smile and thought.

’Yeah, I’m not surprised at all.’

...

At 6ft4 while wearing healed boots, A woman garbed in Military armour that radiated authority, walked elegantly across the floor and had a power about her that made her seem taller than she was.

The woman was gorgeous to all those that beheld her naturally. With her auburn hair brushed gracefully to the side, her grey powerful eyes that glistened with regal authority, her powerful eyebrows, her natural red lips and overall beauty with no imperfections. She was already gorgeous, but one thing added onto that beauty. Boosting it by a major degree.

”It’s the princess!” ”No way! ”She is so beautiful!” ”Please notice me!”

The lecture hall became hectic as many such lines were heard from all around in not so hushed whispers. And it was for good reason.

THEY WERE GOING TO BE TAUGHT BY A PRINCESS!!!

How often could you say in life that a beautiful member of royalty had taught you personally? And then add on the uniqueness of Psionics into the equation. This was the jackpot of jackpots.

Everyone was so distracted by Hailey, they didn’t notice the woman that came in with them. Almost equally gorgeous in appearance and a bodysuit with a skirt atop to show she was ’academic.’

The teacher’s assistant just bullied someone out of the end of the first row into the second before walking up to me while smiling. ”Hello, Apollo. What are the odds that you were going to end up in our class?”

I chuckled as I looked up at Gabrielle. ”I have a hunch that it’s higher than I am thinking.” Gabrielle began playing with her hair and swaying slightly. ”I have no idea what you are talking about~ hehe.” Her laughter then stopped suddenly as she turned to Ivy who was sitting next to me. ”That is where the teacher’s assistant is designated to sit. The whole row needs to move to the right by one seat.”

The row of only six as we were quite far right then shimmied over one seat on the long bench and Gabrielle slotted herself down before resting her hands on the small desk before her and proceeded to smile at me.

”So, before class starts and you have to start calling me Teacher, hehe, I just want to say, sorry if I upset you with the information I shared with you last night. The last thing I want to do is make you unhappy.”

I waved my hands in front of my face. ”Oh, don’t worry, I’m over it. I’m sure everything will resolve itself. I trust Kathrine to be safe after all. And I have called in a favour to make sure of that.”

...

”Knife. Big Knife, Baby knife. Forceps, scalpel, clamps, scissors, retractors, curettes. Ooh! I’m so excited. I have so much to choose from.” Keyla said excitedly as she rummaged through the bag in front of her. Alongside the money she asked for and the new official identity Mary-Beth had provided her.

She had never been so prepared for a kill before. She remembered being a fresh faced tween gutting her victims with broken bottles and her teeth... Those were the days... ”*Sigh*” Thinking back to those fond times, she quickly snapped out of it, her present was infinitely better after all.

Keyla left Mary-Beth’s and after a quick hug she made her way north using public transport up to a private base that was not connected to Kathrine or the cult in any way. After bribing the guards as they expected after a few shady calls, She was escorted to a stealth ship that had been unattended for a couple of years.

It had been quickly made flight ready on her way over, which required more bribes towards more individuals, almost half her money already, but it was necessary. She needed to be clean and quiet. She couldn’t be playful until her victim was in her hands.

Her work was her artform and she would only give her all. More than her own as she was doing this for the only thing that mattered to her in this entire universe.

Her king.
