Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1124: Chapter 1122: Making Everything Clear

”Sir, there’s new information delivered from the Sky Garden.”

Shaya handed a letter to Gu Xi as soon as she entered.

During this period, besides Gu Xi, the busiest person was Shaya.

Although others were busy with their affairs, they were focused on a single aspect and didn’t need to run around specially.

Only Shaya needed to handle various collected information, personally gather intel, and sometimes venture outside, even going to the Maze Demon City to pick thieves.

It can be said she was always busy and on the run.

Therefore, she didn’t have much to say. After handing the letter to Gu Xi, Shaya quickly left.

Upon opening the envelope, Gu Xi saw it was a letter from Pei Xin City Railway Station.

When Gu Xi arrived at Pei Xin City, he inquired about when trains to Ancestor City would depart.

However, even in a big city like Pei Xin City, trains to Ancestor City weren’t available every day.

No one even knew when there would be a train to Ancestor City.

Everything depended on the opening time of the passage on Ancestor City’s side.

After all, the situation there was somewhat special.

Trains could only travel when Ancestor City opened to the outside; otherwise, they could only exit, not enter.

Even transporting goods followed this rule.

At the railway station, reservations had to be made in advance, and people queued for trains.

The boarding time might just be a few hours; if missed, one had to re-queue politely.

Even high-tier players above level 20 received the same treatment.

This special situation was just the nature of Ancestor City.

No one had privileges at Ancestor City.

No one could open the passage permission in Ancestor City.

The letter in front of Gu Xi notified him that his entry opportunity to Ancestor City was set for the train at 9:32 AM the next day.

Gu Xi simply needed to take the letter to the railway station to board.

If he missed this train, he would need to apply again at the station, waiting for a new train.

Missing the train three times consecutively would render one unable to queue for entry into Ancestor City within three months, a rule that couldn’t be changed for anyone.

”Tomorrow morning at 9:32 AM? That’s precise timing,” Gu Xi muttered while looking at the time on the letter, then stood up.

”Luna, I need to go to Ancestor City first. The remaining matters will be handled by you for now. We’ll discuss other things after I settle down there.”

Since he didn’t know where Ancestor City was, Gu Xi couldn’t determine how many days he needed to spend on the train.

But during these few days, Gu Xi definitely couldn’t return to Yalidu City. The affairs there would temporarily be handled by Luna.

Luna understood the meaning behind Gu Xi’s words. She nodded, ”Rest assured, sir, Yalidu has never gone wrong under my care.”

”Alright, I’ll explain a few things to Eldest Princess Anna, and then I’ll leave directly.”

Having obtained the precise timing, Gu Xi didn’t hesitate further, ready to leave immediately.

Luna shook her head, sat in Gu Xi’s previous seat, and began handling Yalidu City’s matters.

After leaving the Assembly Hall, Gu Xi went to find Eldest Princess Anna.

Other matters didn’t require his oversight; only with Eldest Princess Anna there was still a gathering instance waiting.

Now that Gu Xi was departing, it meant the instance would be temporarily sealed.

No one knew when it would open again.

Gu Xi needed to clarify the matter, instructing Eldest Princess Anna to attend to other things instead of waiting outside the instance.

Upon meeting Eldest Princess Anna, she already knew about this.

”Sir, don’t worry, I understand the situation. For the current instance, we only have one chance, originally intended to be tackled slowly.

Right now, we’ve only just started, without encountering subsequent enemies.

Currently, there’s no need to rush.

Besides, I have other matters needing attention now.

The troops from the front Fire Pit have been moved towards Maze Demon City.

Though most aren’t high-tier species, and their numbers aren’t considerable,

some hold important positions within Yalidu City.

With their departure, some spots are vacant, and I need to adjust arrangements.

Also, the barracks in the city and Maze Demon City need to cooperate and synchronise; you were initially involved in this, right?

Given the importance of this matter, my work focus will likely shift towards it in the upcoming period.”

Seeing Eldest Princess Anna had arranged her work well, Gu Xi said nothing more.

He only reminded her a few more times before leaving Yaliduvi Tower.

While preparing to leave Yalidu City, Eve also heard the news of Gu Xi’s departure for a while.

She immediately sought out Gu Xi.

”Sir, there might be something requiring your approval.”

”Oh, let me hear it.”

Gu Xi was somewhat surprised that Eve, deeply engrossed in magic and technology research, would seek him out.

”Here’s the situation, sir. In Maze Demon City, some giant dragons are on the verge of starvation. Could their corpses be brought over for research?”

”On the verge of starvation? How is that possible? Isn’t it said that Maze Demon City’s food is sufficient?

How could there be giant dragons on the verge of starvation?”

Gu Xi found it hard to believe on hearing this.

He had specifically inquired about Maze Demon City’s food issue previously.

The potential of various farms in Maze Demon City hadn’t been fully harnessed yet.

Food within the city should not be insufficient.

How could there be starving giant dragons?

”Apparently, those giant dragons have reached their years, and being confined in the maze for too long; if they weren’t released this time, they might not have lasted long.”

Eve wasn’t sure about the exact situation. She merely heard such news and wanted to ask if the dragon corpses could be sent over for research.

After all, under Gu Xi’s orders, the options were living dragons or directly Ghost Dragons or Bone Dragons.

Rarely were freshly deceased giant dragons seen.

Adding that Gu Xi had the ”Ghost Dragon Book,” any dragon corpse capable of summoning would be summoned directly.

There weren’t dragon corpses for her to research.

Now, having finally heard this news, Eve naturally wanted to ask more.

Many research projects in Eve’s hands required dragon corpses.

She certainly didn’t want her experiments to lack research materials.

Gu Xi was aware of some important subjects Eve was working on. After considering for a moment, he finally said, ”Alright, communicate with Maze Demon City; if a dragon dies, have them send the dragon corpse over. But the number might be small, so don’t mess up during your experiments.”
