Seated on the giant bat, Gu Xi felt the wind rushing towards him, and his thoughts drifted away to unknown places.

After delegating the task of outward expansion, Gu Xi was ready to return to Yalidov city via the flying point.

As for his troops and the spoils of this time, Gu Xi released them all directly.

The bone dragon corps that came with him can fly back to Yalidov city on its own.

The conversion undead combat squad, along with parts like the frenzied beast skeleton soldiers, will guard a large number of deceitful energy pearls back to Yalidov city.

Even without a commander, Gu Xi has every reason to believe they can ensure the transportation of these resources.

However, Gu Xi has already decided, after returning, to discuss with Luna about establishing a carriage station base in the city to facilitate transportation between cities.

The previous carriage station was targeted at cities not in the same world.

But in the same world, especially in nearby cities, there is simply no need to use such things as carriage stations.

Not only do they consume more, but the transportation time is longer.

Establishing a dedicated carriage station base between cities, on the other hand, is a good choice.

Not to mention, this maze district and maze demon city will both become resource points for Yalidov city, surely increasing the frequency of exchanges between the two cities.

A free carriage station base is the best choice.

At the same time, roads need to be repaired as well.

To avoid prolonged transport times when deploying troops.

As Gu Xi mumbled to himself, the giant bat flew over the still barren land and past the gates of Yalidov city.

After landing at the flying point in the main city district, Gu Xi immediately noticed two new heroes appearing in the main city square.

Both of these heroes are of the ghost type.

When Gu Xi landed, they naturally came forward to meet him.

Upon seeing these two heroes, Gu Xi realized that the Lord of Skeletons had informed the Eldest Princess Anna about the situation after returning, and the Eldest Princess Anna specifically found them.

Though he grumbled inwardly about them being nothing but trouble, Gu Xi checked the information on these two ghost heroes on the surface.

The ghost floating in the front wore a black robe.

That was more of a traditional ghost style.

When he saw Gu Xi flying over, he also bowed his head slightly towards Gu Xi.

[Ghost Ethan (Level 7, summoned creature, undead hero): Experience (0/5500), Attack 5, Defense 5, Life 85, Mana 50, Talent: Flame Ghost (The catapults commanded by this hero gain the ability to launch fireballs, starting fireball level is Level 5), Skills: Offensive Skill, Ballistics Skill, War Machinery, Fire Magic, Leader (can command 320 soldiers + 7 bosses at the same time).]

Looking at this ghost Ethan in front of him, Gu Xi knew immediately that this was the converted shadow hero that attacked the south city wall.

His traits are clearly displayed here.

He clearly mastered siege ability as a ghost.

Though the catapult turning into a fireball skill surprised Gu Xi, for siege purposes, fireballs and stones falling from the sky are essentially the same.

But the opponent’s ballistics skill and war machinery expertise are precisely suited to operating war machines.

Clearly, in utilizing war machines, he has already progressed ahead of other heroes.

This hero needs to be sent out for training; ignoring other factors, there must be a way to upgrade his level.

Otherwise, when there’s a need for siege later, what’s the use of just Level 7?

After inspecting ghost Ethan’s attributes, Gu Xi has already arranged a place for ghost Ethan.

Ghost Ethan didn’t realize Gu Xi had made many plans, at this moment, he was just here to meet Gu Xi.

Among so many heroes, he’s the only one who knows ballistics skill.

In the barracks, this is a highly coveted skill; nearly all large-scale conquest missions require ballistics skill coordination.

Currently, he’s quite busy.

When Gu Xi waved him off, he quickly vanished before Gu Xi, leaving only the other ghost hero behind.

Seeing ghost Ethan leave like that, this ghost hero also chuckled awkwardly.

”Master, Ethan’s personality is like that; don’t blame him.”

This ghost hero is different in personality and appearance from ghost Ethan.

The one in front looks like a quirky ghost wearing multicolored clothes, with a semi-transparent body. His colors are neither the ghostly pearl white nor deep blue or dark red and such typical colors.

Instead, it’s a peculiar green mixed with other colors.

Such a ghost would be very conspicuous on the battlefield.

”I know, I’ve seen people like that before, not just him.”

Since this ghost hero was willing to talk to Gu Xi, naturally Gu Xi was happy to engage in a few more exchanges.

During their conversation, Gu Xi also glanced at his attributes.

[Ghost Carl (Level 8, summoned creature, undead hero): Experience (0/6500), Attack 5, Defense 4, Life 75, Mana 80, Talent: Imagination (The tactics imagined by the hero have an eighty percent chance of being completed), Skills: Offensive Skill, Defense Skill, Strategy, Magic Resistance Skill, Leader (can command 310 soldiers + 7 bosses at the same time).]

Imagination?

Looking at this talent, Gu Xi couldn’t determine the level of reality for Carl in front of him.

”Carl, what’s the deal with your imagination? How high is this eighty percent chance?”

”Oh, I generally think reasonable feasible plans often can proceed.” Carl quickly began to explain his situation to Gu Xi. ”The eighty percent chance doesn’t refer to success rate, but rather that eighty percent of my plans go as I intend.

But twenty percent don’t follow my intentions.”

As Carl explained, Gu Xi thought back to the attack on the city wall by the shadow hero.

Using explosive ability to send people to the city wall was a case in point.

The explosion succeeded, and more than half of the shadows sent flying landed on the city wall.

The rest fell into the mysterious maze.

Landing on the wall was the eighty percent, while falling into the mysterious maze was the twenty percent chance of failure.

Also, when he later tried to stack bridges to get on the wall, stacking worked up until the point of getting on the wall, which was the eighty percent possibility. Gu Xi’s intervention wasn’t accounted for, making it the twenty percent of failure.

With Carl’s explanation, coupled with Gu Xi’s speculation, Gu Xi understood the situation of Carl’s ability.

Facing the first scenario is fine; losing twenty percent of troops doesn’t matter much to Gu Xi, who has vast resources.

But encountering the second scenario might cost him everything.

Yet Gu Xi couldn’t simply restrict Carl from using his talent.

He thought about it and pointed at Carl saying, ”Go follow Eve, she might find a use for you.”
