Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Sure enough, Lord of the Charnel Ground soon encountered a formidable opponent as well.

In the name of Buddha, yet committing slaughter, the Lord of the Charnel Ground and his Sangha Monastery Monk Soldiers, along with the Yasha Langtai family’s private soldiers, mercilessly massacred all the people of Nasha in the middle layers.

As descendants of the Snowy Plateau Region, they knew better than anyone that as long as these people lived, they would inevitably become a huge threat to humanity in the future.

Especially for the Snowy Plateau Region itself—they couldn’t afford to let them develop slowly. If they ever broke through the Gate of Eternal Severance, the Snowy Plateau would definitely be bloodwashed.

The best possible outcome would be everyone becoming their livestock.

And the commotion here attracted yet another powerhouse from Nasha.

This was a giant standing over ten meters tall, so muscular his body seemed forged from steel.

The eye on his forehead was perpetually glaring at everything around him, while his fiery red hair grew wildly in all directions, making him look like a blazing inferno.

He appeared in the area where Lord of the Charnel Ground and the others were, his face twisted with disgust as he looked at several completely destroyed streets and the fallen Tri-Eyed Clan soldiers. He spat on the ground.

”What useless trash! As humans, you let yourselves be killed by livestock—you don’t deserve to be born as humans!”

Several Monk Soldiers spotted the red-haired giant and immediately charged forward with their vajra pestles.

Seeing this, the red-haired giant cracked a grin, revealing a chilling smile.

He threw a punch toward the charging soldiers—no tricks, no flair.

His thick arm was like a stone pillar, but as the punch shot forward, the space ahead trembled violently. Then, an endless sea of exploding flames swept across the entire street!

The few Monk Soldiers, along with everything behind them, were instantly engulfed in scorching, explosive flames!

They felt a brief flash of warmth, a moment of pain, and then were reduced to ashes by the terrifyingly high temperature!

One punch lit up the entire district. An entire street was incinerated!

Neither Tri-Eyed Clan members nor human soldiers survived.

Lord of the Charnel Ground pressed his palms together and gazed calmly at this Tri-Eyed Clan general.

”Amitabha!”

Golden light burst forth from around him. There was no killing intent in his eyes, yet his strike was decisive and ruthless!

”Heh, come on, insect!”

Standing before Lord of the Charnel Ground was another great general of Nasha—【Explosive Fist】, Lie.

Superhuman Ability Index: 20,000 points. Black Chariot-level.

...

Fierce battles erupted across Nasha from all directions. Wave after wave of Epsilon-level power surged into the sky, terrifying every civilian and low-level superhuman.

Even Zhang Yi felt a hint of danger at this moment.

Those auras were all too powerful—even he wouldn’t find them easy to defeat.

”Good thing I’m pretty good at defense.”

This thought gave Zhang Yi some reassurance.

What he excelled at most was defense and escape. Even against a 20,000-point Black Chariot-level superhuman, if he couldn’t win, he could still run.

”As long as I don’t run into one of those freakish rule-based superhumans, or an upper-tier spatial-temporal type that counters me, I won’t be in any danger here.”

Zhang Yi thought to himself.

But the latter was unlikely, because both time-type and space-type abilities were extremely rare.

And a superhuman with both types simultaneously? As far as he knew, he was the only one.

As for rule-based types, it probably wouldn’t be that easy to encounter one that could threaten him.

Someone like Houtu was a freakishly rare existence.

Zhang Yi looked up at the sky—at the massive Holy Spirit Hall hovering like it was suspended in midair. Though a flicker of desire stirred in his heart, he just smiled.

He never went seeking danger proactively. He always made sure to probe thoroughly before taking action.

He would rather do nothing than make a mistake.

”Everyone else is fighting the strong. I can’t just sit idle either. I’ll help them cleanse this nation!”

Zhang Yi’s eyes turned cold.

He raised his gun, positioned himself high above, and began a new round of slaughter.

A special-type superhuman with an ability index of 18,000 points, skilled in long-range assassination—whether the target was human or superhuman, as long as they weren’t Epsilon-level, none could stop one of his tiny bullets.

Zhang Yi could have used his stockpiled weapons to carpet-bomb the area, delivering a dimensionality reduction strike against a primitive nation like Nasha.

But that didn’t match his consistently low-key style, so he refrained.

Just then, Chodak’s voice rang in Zhang Yi’s ears again.

”Mr. Chaos, Lord of the Charnel Ground and the others are all fighting. Please let us join the battle too!”

”We came for the holy war. We’d rather die fighting than sit here watching!”

They had been kept on standby for so long. Though it was safe, they felt ashamed.

They were not cowards who feared death. And if they returned to the outside world, and people found out they had hidden during the great battle, they would bear the shame for the rest of their lives!

Hearing this, Zhang Yi finally nodded in agreement.

”Fine. Since you want to fight, then go fight!”

By now, he had a general understanding of Nasha’s strength.

This underground race’s power was far inferior to what lay beneath the Qinling Mountains.

Just as Yang Xinxin had said before—

A civilization with a longer history isn’t necessarily stronger.

A Tang Dynasty chamber pot still holds piss.

With the veil of mystery stripped away, the fear the Tri-Eyed Clan had first instilled in them was gradually fading.

Zhang Yi let Chodak and the others emerge from the Shadow Space.

There were only a few dozen of them. Of the original five hundred, most of the weaker ones had been left behind by Zhang Yi to clean up the Demon Kingdom battlefield.

Because Zhang Yi believed that once they were in the Demon Abyss, numbers no longer mattered.

So even though there were only a few dozen here, they were the elite among those five hundred—each and every one a superhuman of considerable strength.

They appeared on Nasha’s soil for the first time, feeling the flames of war and the surging passion of battle all around them. The blood in their veins had already been ignited.

”Brothers, kill every last one of these aliens!!!”

Chodak roared to the heavens, thrusting his vajra rod forward as he charged at the Nashan soldiers ahead.

Zhang Yi didn’t join the fray. He hung back, picking off enemies one by one from a distance.

With his cover, Chodak and his men advanced like a hot knife through butter, easily defeating several squads of Nashan soldiers.

Then, after confirming there was no danger nearby, Liang Yue, Old You, Fatty Xu, and Hua Hua also joined the battle.

Zhang Yi was extremely cautious. He killed the most people but made the least noise.

In this place with underdeveloped communications, this approach made it hard to attract the attention of Nasha’s powerhouses.

But perhaps because more and more Nashan soldiers were dying silently, it was bound to draw someone’s notice eventually.

Just as Zhang Yi was aiming at the back of a Nashan superhuman’s head, he suddenly felt the space around him darken.

The world before his eyes turned into pitch-black void.

And he himself had vanished from where he was standing.
