Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

In the following days, Zhang Yi lived continuously in Hua’s cave, while secretly observing the movements of Nasha from behind the scenes.

He secretly toured the entire area and gained a basic understanding of the place.

Except for the Holy Spirit Hall at the top of the ceiling, he had already visited every other location worth seeing.

Nasha’s population wasn’t too large, at most a few hundred thousand people. Due to their enormous size, obtaining sufficient meat was very difficult.

Therefore, they mostly fed on certain giant underground creatures, and humans were also an indispensable part of their diet.

Ordinary Tri-Eyed Clan members couldn’t eat meat at all in their daily lives, surviving only on fruit from a local tree species.

For several days in a row, Zhang Yi had no clear direction for his next move.

This place appeared to be a stable nation with a powerful military and high-level superhumans.

It was hard for them to find an opportunity to approach that Holy Spirit Hall.

Meanwhile, after the Lord of the Charnel Ground and his group arrived here, they had multiple conflicts with the local army. The entire military force of Nasha had been mobilized, and every day Zhang Yi could see those fierce, murderous Tri-Eyed Clan giant soldiers patrolling through the streets and alleys.

”Aren’t they causing too much of a commotion?”

Zhang Yi furrowed his brow, somewhat puzzled.

By common sense, the chaos caused by human soldiers shouldn’t have put all of Nasha into such a state of high alert.

After all, most soldiers were just lowly bugs in their eyes.

A single well-trained Tri-Eyed Clan soldier could easily kill over a hundred ordinary human fighters, including low-level superhumans.

It was at this moment that Hua gave Zhang Yi an important piece of intelligence.

”It seems the prince of Nasha is about to hold his grand wedding soon. That’s why they’re so concerned about the divine envoys of the Divine Human Cult - they’re afraid you might disrupt the ceremony.”

Zhang Yi smiled. ”Oh? What a coincidence.”

Hua said, ”Tri-Eyed Clan people can live up to 300 years, but almost everyone only has one wedding in their lifetime. Plus, they say the prince will inherit the old king’s throne after getting married, so the entire nation places immense importance on this grand wedding.”

”And the one he’s marrying is no ordinary person either! She’s the only daughter of Grand Duke Garu, Miss Jienasuo.”

It was only then that Zhang Yi remembered - when he first arrived in Nasha, he had already seen Tri-Eyed Clan members decorating the streets with red silk.

He slowly narrowed his eyes.

”The prince’s grand wedding?”

He keenly sensed that this was a golden opportunity.

What do you think he was planning to do?

No, he was perfectly safe right now and wouldn’t easily take risks.

But since such a good opportunity existed, the Lord of the Charnel Ground and his group would definitely not miss it.

When the time came, there might be quite a show to watch.

He looked up at the Holy Spirit Hall on the ceiling and began secretly looking forward to it in his heart.

...

A few days later, the prince’s grand wedding that Hua had mentioned finally arrived.

On this day, all of Nasha was decorated with lanterns and colorful banners.

They also favored bright red for celebrating festive occasions, probably because vibrant colors weren’t easy to come by in this dark underground world.

But besides red, they actually used black and white as well, creating a stark contrast of colors throughout the entire nation.

Zhang Yi came out with Hua to watch.

He also wanted to see how weddings were conducted in the underground world.

The prince’s grand wedding was the most magnificent ceremony in all of Nasha, and the entire population had poured out to witness it.

They stood on tall buildings and in the streets, brandishing clubs, knives, and forks, jumping with excitement and joy.

Zhang Yi brought Hua to a high vantage point in the city, quietly waiting for the ceremony to begin.

The time was roughly around six in the evening.

Since there was no distinction between day and night here, Zhang Yi could only judge the time through the Smart System, but the sky was still shrouded in purple mist, illuminating all of Nasha.

Accompanied by the frenzied excitement of the Nasha Tri-Eyed Clan, a distant yet grand horn suddenly sounded in Zhang Yi’s ears.

He followed the sound and saw, on the opposite side of a long, narrow stone bridge on Nasha’s upper level, a massive procession slowly appearing.

The stone bridge was over a dozen kilometers long but only a few dozen meters wide, supported below by thousands of thick stone pillars, with a hazy black mist beneath that concealed where it stood.

The horn sounded, accompanied by various unfamiliar instruments, their music echoing through the sky.

Amidst the hazy mist, the magnificent bridal procession slowly advanced, heading toward the direction of the Holy Spirit Hall.

Zhang Yi saw enormous red canopy umbrellas dozens of meters high blocking out the sky, with hundreds of Tri-Eyed Clan members in bizarre attire clearing the way ahead.

Then came a massive palanquin, swaying slowly forward.

Beneath the palanquin were several dozen strange creatures, two to three meters tall with peculiar appearances. Their bodies had no hair, they had long ears, and their faces and limbs resembled humans, but compared to the Tri-Eyed Clan, they were short and fat.

These several dozen bizarre creatures carried the palanquin.

Seated on the palanquin was one of the main protagonists of today’s wedding - Grand Duke Garu’s eldest daughter, Jienasuo.

Zhang Yi couldn’t help but use the word ”massive” to describe a woman.

She was dressed in a black and red wedding gown, her face smeared with some kind of pigment that was deathly pale white, yet her lips were as red as blood.

Even seated on the palanquin, the bride was over a dozen meters tall, her massive frame even larger than that of an average Tri-Eyed Clan member.

So even the dozens of strange little creatures carrying her seemed to struggle with the effort.

The bridal procession played and marched, the strange, long horns chilling people to the core. For some reason, even though it seemed festive, it made Zhang Yi’s heart feel extremely uncomfortable.

”Wooo—”

At that moment, from the other end of the stone bridge, another procession appeared, coming to receive the bride.

The scale of the two processions was roughly the same. Zhang Yi’s gaze shifted to that group, wanting to see what the prince of Nasha looked like.

But after searching for a long time, he couldn’t find anyone who looked like the groom.

He asked Hua, but she didn’t understand either.

Zhang Yi thought to himself: Perhaps the prince was supposed to wait at the Holy Spirit Hall for the bride’s arrival.

The two magnificent processions finally met on the stone bridge, and the cheering of Nasha’s residents reached its peak at that moment.

Suddenly, the music played by the two processions changed rhythm.

From the initial deep and distant tone, it abruptly became urgent and excited.

”Wahoo!!”

Cheers resounded throughout all of Nasha, shaking the heavens.

And at that moment, all the color suddenly drained from Hua’s little face.

She grabbed Zhang Yi’s arm in panic, looking at him with despair. ”Quick... run!!”

Zhang Yi was bewildered.

”Why? Hua, what’s going on?”

Hua’s voice trembled as she forced a few words out of her throat.

”A blood sacrifice for the entire city!”
