Chapter 946: Chapter 750: Surprise (Part 2)

”Speaking of... meeting places for old colleagues, is it really this low-key? The standards have dropped, brother.”

Tony muttered to himself, took a step forward, stepping on the edge of the floor, and looked down at the drop below the rooftop. After confirming the height, he turned around, spread his arms, and suddenly jumped.

Just like that, he fell towards the ground behind him.

Mid-air, he deftly flipped his body, whipping the horse face mask, spinning in the incoming wind, flipping two and a half times, twisting two and a half times again, then spinning like a little top 1080 degrees in a rapid fall, carving an exaggerated arc, finally crashing through the fragile roof of the warehouse.

Descending from the sky!

With a burst of thunderous noise, the uninvited guest crashed into the light from the ceiling, fell to the ground with a hurricane, but not a speck of dust was raised.

”Yay—perfect score!”

Under the pale light, Tony slowly stood up, brushed the mane on the back of his head, held the gun in both hands, aimed to both sides, and looked around.

”Hello? Is ’Phoenix’ home?”

In the silence, no one responded.

But Tony didn’t relax his vigilance, carefully inspecting every inch of the warehouse.

In a warehouse that should have been abandoned for many years, it was filled with equipment that shouldn’t be there at all, densely packed surveillance screens showing images of key areas in Kyoto, but more were scenes within the Tanbo Inner Circle.

With the search program running, servers submerged in large tanks constantly emitted high heat and a dull buzzing sound.

And the surrounding walls were hung with an array of weapons, including piles of boxes, even Alchemy Explosives capable of sending an entire stadium sky-high, and shoulder-launched rocket launchers that shouldn’t exist in the city.

At the deepest part, the table was stacked with countless complex files, information, and records, and on the wall, a gigantic Kyoto map, densely marked with various symbols.

Tony approached step by step, casually picking up a piece of information, and saw intelligence analysis about ’Heavenly White Fox’, then picked up another, which was about position changes at Deer’s Sing Hall.

Next, were the external action records of the Former Emperor’s personal guard ’Seat’, and the important personnel information under the Shogunate of the General, the Yingzhou Jurisdictional Branch’s monthly brief to the public...

Finally...

Under countless information and records, a resume marked with [Top Secret].

Under the Original Dark Legion insignia, in the photo, a man wearing a horse face mask looked outside the photo in a daze.

At that moment, a cold gun barrel pressed against the back of his head.

A familiar, flippant voice came from behind.

”Missed me, Mr. Sagittarius?” In the shadows where the desk lamp couldn’t illuminate, the former ace assassin of the Original Dark Legion, ’Phoenix’ greeted as such.

Tony’s movements stalled, seemingly frozen:

”Trap?”

”Ha, who knows?” Phoenix asked nonchalantly, ”How long have you been looking for me?”

”About half a month? Yeah, ever since you tried to skip the bill from the Shambhala’s sanatorium.” Tony kindly reminded: ”Don’t stop the meds, Liu DongLi.”

”Rest assured, I grabbed a big sum before I left, enough for me till my next birthday’s over.”

Tony laughed: ”And after your birthday, what’s your plan? Boom and become Current Circumstances’ pollution source?”

”Thanks for the concern, I’ll find a nice, serene spot to bury myself before then, remember to bring flowers,”

”I have to say, your colleagues and family are quite concerned about you.” Tony sighed: ”To avoid any unpleasant conflicts, how about returning to the picturesque sanatorium?”

”Ah, don’t worry, I have faith in you guys—my colleagues are magnanimous, my family is understanding, the world is so beautiful, even without me, everyone will surely get along.”

Behind him, Liu DongLi whistled: ”As long as the company wants to be more generous with compensation.”

”I don’t think that’s likely.”

Tony advised again: ”Come back with me, Liu DongLi, many are looking for you. Others might not be as reasonable as I am.”

”Reasonable with guns?”

”Just because I wanted to be reasonable, I only brought a gun.”

Tony reminded: ”Running away is one thing, but why rob the technology department’s deep storage? Now, the Jurisdiction Bureau’s skyfloor, Existence Institute’s pollution control center, and the technology department’s ordinance department, all are looking for you... some want you dead, some alive, and others half dead.”

”Sounds hard to please everyone.”

”Who says otherwise?” Tony shrugged helplessly, ”So, would you consider my—suggestion!”

At that instant, a loud explosion erupted, the entire warehouse shook abruptly.

Ghastly frost spread from Tony’s body, sweeping with eternal icy wind, freezing everything around him into large, solid ice blocks.

Including Liu DongLi behind him.

But when he turned around, he saw empty ice behind him, not a trace of a human figure.

Only the overhead bulb silently shattered, swallowing everything in darkness.

And then, gunfire erupted.

The melting Alchemy Bullet turned into blazing light in the gun chamber, crisscrossing the vast dark, leaving streaks of ripped light.
