Apocalypse Forecast

In a daze, he smelled the scent of the floor and the sweat.

His mouth was filled with the taste of iron, the stinging blood scent suffocated his lungs, gasping for breath.

”Is this the end?”

That old voice angrily rebuked him, the furious wooden sword slashed down mercilessly, smacking him on the face: ”You’re such a disgrace, Kusaki! Get up!”

He tried hard to lift his hand, to support his body, but quickly collapsed to the ground again.

His vision turned dark.

”I’m sorry, I’m sorry...” He hugged his head, pleading softly: ”Please, let me rest for a moment... just a moment, please.”

”Then leave here, get out.”

A merciless kick struck his body, the floor seemed to roll over and slapped him, the world was spinning, turbulent.

That expressionless old face gradually blurred.

The old man looked down, gazing at him, without any pity.

”Listen well, Kusaki, since the dojo was founded, among the students I’ve seen... in terms of talent, potential, and ability, you are the worst one.”

”This isn’t encouragement, but a fact.”

The old man coldly gazed at his face, telling him word by word: ”You’re like rotten wood, learn to give up, understand?”

In the silence, there was only the sound of ragged breathing and difficult struggling.

The bruised young man strived to lift his body, raise his hand, grabbing the old man’s pants leg.

”Teacher, please teach me...”

He crawled on the ground, performing a deformed humble Seat, bowing his head in imploring: ”Please teach me... I have obligations to repay, things I must do.”

Even though his mind was disoriented, he still struggled futilely: ”Please show mercy, please...”

In the long silence, the old man coldly gazed at the humble young man, after a while, slowly raised his foot, shaking off the hand grabbing his pants leg, cruelly kicked him away.

”Since you can’t give up swordsmanship, then learn to give up your life, foolish one.”

The wooden sword slashed, pierced the ground in front of him, the old man commanded for the last time: ”Get up immediately!”

That old voice and an angry roar mixed together, exploded in his ears.

”How long do you plan to sleep, you useless thing!!!”

His vision went black.

Kusaki woke up from the nightmare, feeling a sharp pain on his face as if someone had punched him hard, finally waking from the bitter dream created by excessive sedatives, and opened his eyes.

Then, he saw Zaotou Shi ahead.

Frozen on the spot.

The blind swordsman drenched in blood had already broken into the cage, standing in front of his bed, raised his hand, tearing off the shackles and those IV tubes.

More surprising was Zaotou Shi’s current attire.

”What’s with your look?”

Underneath the torn Yingzhou robe was camouflage clothing, a bulletproof vest, a gray helmet, black military boots, packed magazines, a pistol strapped to his leg, grenades hanging from his waist, and two raised MP5s in his hands.

And three katanas on his back...

Absolutely, fully armed!

But completely different from the expected appearance of Zaotou Shi.

”Where did you get that SWAT team gear?” Kusaki was dumbfounded.

”Isn’t this what young people always say... times have changed, Kusaki!” The blind swordsman grinned, revealing a cheerful smile: ”Turns out guns are more useful... didn’t expect it, I’m now a special guest instructor for the Land Self-Defense Force!”

”What the heck?”

”A part-time gig, it’s tough for a blind person these days, don’t work hard, am I supposed to do massages for people... hurry up, let’s go.”

Zaotou Shi put down a gun, reached out and pulled him up from the bed: ”I took advantage of the chaos to break in, not sure what the situation is outside yet... it’s tough enough for a blind man to infiltrate, don’t make it harder for me to escort you out, okay?”

Kusaki landed, only to hear a crunch as the brace on his leg collided with the ground, his expression instantly twisted.

Terrible pain.

”Your leg is broken?”

Zaotou Shi’s ears twitched slightly, frowned, listening to the rushing footsteps outside the door, his expression turned urgent, could only throw Kusaki’s arm over his shoulder, helplessly sighed: ”Us two, one blind, one crippled, if you ever quit, we could team up to perform, you give directions, I do massages, better, why do you insist on a one-track mind?”

”Thanks.”

Kusaki smiled bitterly, took a sword from his back as a cane, limped along with Zaotou Shi outwards.

The further out they went, the more tragic the scenes they encountered.

Within the Luli Palace Gardens, as splendid as the Heavenly Kingdom, grotesque monsters ran rampantly, devouring flesh, a Living Hell continuously unfolding.

The boiling disasters filled every inch of the air, gradually pulling everyone towards petrifying and Hell transformation.

When reversed into disaster, the intrinsic terrifying demon nature permeated every person’s heart.

Like a sharp blade hanging over every member of the Li Jian family. Whenever a shred of malice rose in their hearts, it would be rapidly magnified and distorted, leading to mutation and transformation...

This is the curse targeting the bloodline.

”Kusaki, I know you, Kusaki, save me... save me...”
