The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1108: Chapter 1108: Interviewing the Screenwriter and Director

As the anti-scam video by the two little scammers hit over a billion views, netizens had all sorts of opinions, and the discussion grew so intense that the video surged to the top of the trending list!

No one expected an official video to top the trending list, considering that official videos couldn’t even get near the bottom of the trending list before!

This was partly due to the first-time involvement of popular celebrities by the authorities and the video’s drastically different style from the past, making the director and screenwriter overnight sensations!

In fact, both of them are from national backgrounds, involved in arts from the military forces.

Both wanted to keep a low profile, but the journalists were too resourceful and managed to block them off for an interview.

Journalist: ”Screenwriter Wang, your idea was really surprising. How did you come up with the idea of starting with these two little scammers as the two female leads? This is so different from your usual style!”

Screenwriter Wang: ”Actually, the original script was different. Little Taotie was to play a trafficked victim, but if you think about it carefully, you’ll find that the two kids in the video are also victims of trafficking, but they took a completely different path. Victims became perpetrators!”

The statement [victims became perpetrators] came out of the editor’s mouth and instantly became one of the top three trending topics.

Journalist: ”Director, your ending this time was unbelievable. Screenwriter Wang said he wrote the ending where the two little scammers get caught and punished, but you vetoed that ending, deleting the subsequent content. In the end, the two little scammers succeeded and returned to the island. Why did you come up with such a premise?”

Director: ”No one wants to hear big principles. It could also be said that I’m tired of the old styles. Every time it’s the same ending, and everyone can predict it, so what’s the point?”

Journalist: ”But given the video’s ending, don’t you think the dissemination effect isn’t good? Instead, it might inspire envy, envying the two little girls who became billionaires! Personally, I think this not only doesn’t educate positively but might even mislead people.”

The director chuckled dismissively: ”That just shows you haven’t watched the video seriously from start to finish. It’s clear in the video that the two kids aren’t free, and it’s also hinted that they’d be punished if they don’t complete the task.”

The journalist’s face turned red. She did skip through it, and honestly, wasn’t interested in this kind of material. Even knowing such videos aimed to spread positive energy, she preferred melodramatic romance dramas most of the time.

Journalist: ”Sorry, you might intentionally present it, but there will still be people like me who overlook it. Maybe you should shoot some content of the two kids being punished or threatened. Your final scene shows the kids being warmly welcomed on the island, even throwing a celebration for them.”

”Are you teaching me how to direct?”

The journalist’s face turned pale.

”Didn’t your teachers ever make you read classics and write reflections when you were in school?”

The journalist pursed her lips: ”I read them and wrote.”

The director said coldly: ”One million people have one million different perceptions. I can’t change my filming for ten or twenty stupid people, making everything sugar-coated and silly. How can it provoke deep thoughts? Can you truly remember something you watch mindlessly?”

The journalist was stunned.

She had watched over a hundred silly romantic comedies or melodramatic dramas, but the ones she genuinely remembered were detective shows, because she used her brain to guess who the culprit was, leaving a very clear memory.

She couldn’t even recall the male protagonist’s name from a romance drama she watched earlier in the month.

Perhaps, as the director said, if you don’t use your brain while watching, you’ll remember nothing.

The director maintained a serious face: ”I’ll give you time for one more question, then I have a plane to catch.”

The journalist nodded quickly: ”What do you think of the saying ’victims became perpetrators’?”

Director: ”This video reflects a kind of reality from start to finish.”
