Re-Birth Of A Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 1750 - 1750 Spear Throwing

1750 Spear Throwing

The first thing Sam did is not attack the people that came at him.

Instead, he swiftly activated his earthen wall and surrounded himself with it. He made the wall sturdy enough to not let a single attack pass through.

He is being attacked from all the sides by various attacks, but all of them are in vain.

Not just Sam every other player also did the same.

They all went into a defensive position immediately and protected themselves from the attacks.

Even though the rules of this task are pretty straightforward, things are not as easy as they seem.

In this game, players are spread all over the place and the person with the highest kills wins. And to reach that goal, a player could do two things.

One is to make it easier for him to kill more people and the other is to make it difficult for the other players to kill.

With the way the whole game is set up, a player can do both of them. Apart from that, there are a bunch of variables including the transition between the night and day mode that come into play.

.....

So, without analyzing the city and their opponents a bit, it would be foolish for a player to just blindly go and start killing. If Sam is just there alone and his task is to kill these people, he would have gone into a frenzy.

But the presence of other players alone is enough to make him think twice.

After exactly three minutes, the earthen wall surrounding Sam suddenly opened up and turned into a bunch of large spikes. They are all powered by flaming explosions as they made their way in different directions.

Everyone nearby was caught off guard by such an attack and all the aggressors had to take a step back. The ones that couldn’t and were too close to him got hit squarely and suffered some damage.

Of course, that was not enough to kill anyone.

But that bought enough time for Sam to make his next move. Within a flash, he went through a wind elemental fusion and popped his wings out. The fusion was deactivated and Sam flew straight into the sky.

He floated in sky right above the center of the city. He hovered there as his wings flapped. He activated his eye technique as he used Roc’s bloodline ability to enhance his eyes even more.

He looked around as he tried to find other players’ positions and it seems like based on the game’s settings, all the players appeared in a relatively open space. After marking everyone’s position mentally, Sam’s attention was caught by Dayus.

He is feeling a bit playful at the moment.

All this while Dayus continuously exploited the game rules along with the god that was supporting him and tried to play Sam.

This only stopped now, because it was Osiris who is supervising the task. Sam believed that when the regular gods are back in, the bias would continue.

After all, no matter how many chances he gave, Zeus just kept on going with his stubborn interference.

With the war going on between Dusk and Olympus, Sam is pretty sure that he would be faced with many more underhanded tactics.

So, he figured that he would strike first since he now has neutral ground. He will play within the rules and throw Dayus to the bottom of the players’ ranking.

Sam took out a spear as he injected his spiritual energy into it and threw it.

At this moment, Dayus is also using a defensive technique to hold back all the attackers. Unlike Sam though, he didn’t have a technique to fly away.

So, he just used an attack to disperse them and tried to move away. To get into a much more favorable position.

He was about to kill one of the attackers to create that opening to slip away. But before he could use his spear to make the attack, Sam’s spear whistled through the air and blasted through the head of that attacker.

Dayus had to jump to the side to dodge the spear after it passed straight through that head.

Before he could realize what even happened there, he saw another spear making him away to the area. It almost brushed past him before it went straight through the head of another criminal. The criminal.

Before the third spear could even touch the ground, the third spear already came and nailed another person to the ground. This is the time when Dayus finally came out of his stupor. He looked at Sam who is hovering over the city.

Sam smirked at him and threw two more spears. Killing two more people. By now, the criminals, who are the targets also noticed Sam. They tried to dodge the attacks and went after Dayus who is already using the chance to slip like a loach.

But of course, someone else tried to attack him.

Sam kept on attacking the targets though. He just took one target with every spear and when one of the targets had enough and tried to attack Sam from there with a spear throw, Dayus took the chance to attack that target meanwhile Sam dodged and caught the spear that came at him.

The targets almost thought that Sam and Dayus are working together and got angry.

As for the people from Sam’s original place, they were pissed because Sam managed to just give them a slip and go into the air. They wanted to attack him. So, the projectile weapons along with some long-range elemental attacks.

The attacks came from everywhere. Sam swiftly dodged most of them. He avoided defending the attacks directly. He didn’t even block the attack. Not even once. But he didn’t shift to the focus his attacks on the targets from his side.

He only attacked people from Dayus’s side.

Dayus could feel that he is not being pressured by the attackers at all, but the only problem is that he is losing points. The targets albeit completely troublesome are also extremely valuable. If Sam takes away all of his points, he would have to encroach on the territories of other players.

He is already gaining enough animosity from the other players.

There is no way he would want to gain more heat. But Sam’s actions are forcing him to do that.

By now, Sam’s presence in the sky already gained the attention of other players. They are surprised, but it didn’t make them stop and think. Whatever Sam is doing is exactly what they would expect Sam would do.

Sam was on a dodging spree and killing spree at the same time. And after repeatedly seeing that there is no other way to attack Sam from their current locations, without going all out.

So, after a few minutes, a lot of attacks were gone.

While Sam is killing people that are actively trying to hunt Dayus, he noticed something else regarding the city. There are a lot of people that didn’t come out of their houses. In fact, most people in the city are actually inside their houses right now.

And from what he could guess, they are a lot more powerful than the people that are outside. It kind of felt like the town that Sam confronted back in hell.

But here people are actually observing the fights. They just didn’t make a move at the moment. They are observing. And when he noticed that Dayus is actually running out of opponents and is getting some breathing space while searching for different, targets to meet, Sam decided to make the people from these houses come out.

His first pick is the house that is right next to the alley from where Dayus is hiding and making his plan.

A spear landed on the house and destroyed it.

*BAM* *CRASH*

The spear is followed by another. But this time, Sam didn’t hear or see any crash or collapse of the building.

The dust settled and Sam saw three people in that house. Out of three one of them caught the spear and from the looks of it, they didn’t need much effort to do that. It was pretty easy.

They looked at Sam and almost completely ignored Dayus.

Sam smiled and took two more spears as he threw them.

The other two somersaulted as they caught the spears coming at them and landed glaring angrily at Sam.

Dayus who is standing on the side felt pissed. He couldn’t help but take the ignorance of these people as a form of disrespect.

He took out his own spear and looked at the three.

“You seem to have forgotten that I am here.”

He said and charged at them.

One of the three turned around and blocked Dayus’ attack while the other two focused their attacks on Sam.

They threw their spears at Sam and they are cloaked with fire elemental energy.

Sam caught both of the spears without even so much as a flinch on his face.
