Medical and Martial God

Having said that, Kuroki Suzu guessed that Ye Xiu would immediately head to Sang Jing to kill Hachi, so she continued, ”You don’t need to come to Sang Jing. In two hours, Hachi will lead his subordinates, along with me and the people from the Tiansha Association, to Tamwood City.”

Ye Xiu’s pupils constricted. Only then did he realize that Hachi’s identity was far from simple.

Hachi chose to emerge right after Biluo Island was exposed to the world. He used force to seize the position of the Tiansha Association’s Chairman and is now in a hurry to get to Tamwood City. It’s obvious he plans to use Tamwood City as a gateway to Biluo Island. Then his identity is as good as revealed! He must be like Yan Long, one of the hidden Loose Cultivators who have been secretly fighting the three Judicator Families.

He asked, ”When was Ye Liuyun killed? How badly damaged was the body? Why did Hachi kill him?”

Kuroki Suzu replied, ”Twenty minutes ago, Hachi killed him with a palm strike that shattered his heart meridian. As for why, it’s because Hachi despises the Xuanse people. He killed Ye Liuyun simply because he overheard him speaking the Xuanse language.”

Upon hearing this, Ye Xiu erupted in fury.

Just because Ye Liuyun spoke Xuanse, Hachi killed him and his secret protector. This man has to die. Leaving him alive would be a threat to all citizens of Xuanse.

”Immediately send someone you trust to bring the bodies of Ye Liuyun and the man who was secretly protecting him to Tamwood City. Someone will be there to receive them.”

”Alright!” Kuroki Suzu affirmed.

Ye Xiu hung up the phone, his chest boiling with killing intent.

Ye Liuyun possessed a Life Totem, which meant he could be revived even after his heart meridian was shattered.

However, Lin Canglan, the one who had been secretly protecting him, would not be coming back to life.

This debt of blood must be paid!

Ye Xiu stepped out of the guesthouse and said to Tang Bo and the others, ”An Dongye, Tang Bo, and Dong Fangbai, the three of you are to return to Jin Ye City and help me transport some items to Tamwood City. The Ghost Doctor will tell you what they are. Chloe, you will accompany me to Tamwood City immediately. As for the rest of you, stay in Nanjing and continue your cultivation for now. I’ll call when I need you on Biluo Island.”

Without waiting for a response, he swiftly left with Chloe in tow.

The others exchanged glances, unable to understand why Ye Xiu’s expression had suddenly turned so grim after he’d gone inside with Huang Quan. Moreover, Ye Xiu had come out, but where was Huang Quan?

By the time Ye Xiu and Chloe arrived at the Tamwood City airport after a connecting flight, it was already the early hours of the morning.

As soon as they disembarked, they saw an intelligence officer standing with Ye Liuyun, who was holding Lin Canglan’s body.

”Big Brother, I’m sorry! I caused his death!”

Ye Liuyun clutched the body and dropped to his knees with a thud, tears streaming down his face. It wasn’t until Hachi attacked him that he realized his Big Brother had been sending someone to secretly protect him all along.

”His name is Lin Canglan, codename Blood Buddha. You must remember his name and take care of his family for the rest of your life,” Ye Xiu said emotionlessly, his gaze fixed on Lin Canglan’s body.

”I will,” Ye Liuyun nodded solemnly.

”Get up. Come with me to avenge him,” Ye Xiu said, turning toward the airport exit.

Ye Liuyun quickly got to his feet, handed Lin Canglan’s body to the intelligence officer, and hurried to catch up with Ye Xiu. ”Big Brother, I was killed in Sang Jing. According to the person who brought me back, the one who killed me is the Tiansha Association’s current chairman, Hachi.”

Chloe answered for him, ”Hachi is already in Tamwood City.”

So that’s why... Big Brother had already locked on to Hachi, Ye Liuyun realized.

Members of the Tiansha Association, led by Hachi, were enjoying a sumptuous late-night snack on the grass.

”Master, aren’t we going to Eternal Island? Why are we stopping in Tamwood City?” a bald old man asked.

The man he addressed as ”Master” was Hachi himself. He was an extremely old man, yet he was full of vigor, with a pair of piercing, eagle-like eyes.

Hachi took a sip of beer. ”We know nothing about Eternal Island. If we head there rashly, we’re very likely to fall into an ambush set by the three major Judicator Families. I need time to gather information.” His voice was sharp and hoarse, grating on the ears.

”Is Master suggesting we send someone to Eternal Island to gather intelligence?” the bald old man asked.

”No need.” Hachi shook his head. ”I’ve received word that a day ago, the Black Water Nation’s Ministry of Military Affairs airdropped a team of scouts onto Eternal Island. I expect they’ll be sending back information soon.”

”So that’s how it is!” The bald old man, Kuroki Suzu, and the others finally understood.

Hachi continued, ”Tamwood City is now the transit point to Eternal Island. Over the next few days, people will flock here—members of the Restorer Alliance, hidden Loose Cultivators, spies from various Official Families, large groups of Martial Artists, and figures from major underworld forces. Moreover, I suspect the three major Judicator Families have definitely planted their own intelligence officers in the city. Therefore, you all need to lie low. The more discreet, the better.”

He then added, his tone shifting, ”Of course, if you happen to encounter anyone from Xuanse, you must eliminate them without leaving a trace.”

”Understood!” the bald old man and the others nodded.

Kuroki Suzu asked hesitantly, ”President, why do you hold such hatred for the people of Xuanse?”

Hachi remained silent.

Just then, a chilling voice laced with killing intent drifted from the distant darkness, ”Are you going to answer or not? I’ve waited so long the flowers have wilted.”

WHOOSH!

Every member of the Tiansha Association, including Hachi, shot to their feet and peered toward the sound. Two men and a woman emerged from the darkness.

It was Ye Xiu, Ye Liuyun, and Chloe.

”Why do you hold such animosity towards the people of Xuanse?” Ye Xiu asked, observing Hachi.

A Sixth Realm War God. His foundation and aura are more stable than Yan Long’s. His strength should be greater. It seems that like Yan Long, he also cultivated by absorbing Poisonous Spiritual Energy. But Hachi seems to have found a method for Detoxification.

”You... you’re not dead?” Ignoring Ye Xiu, Hachi fixed his eagle-like eyes on Ye Liuyun, his face a mask of utter shock.

Kuroki Suzu, who had been pleased to see Ye Xiu, heard Hachi’s astonished cry and finally noticed Ye Liuyun. She trembled with fear. After all, she had personally witnessed Hachi kill Ye Liuyun and Lin Canglan. It’s like seeing a ghost in the dead of night!

Ye Liuyun gritted his teeth and said, ”Have you forgotten what I told you before I died? Even in death, I would return as a vengeful ghost to kill you.”

It really is a ghost... Kuroki Suzu was terrified and quickly resumed her silent chant, ”Heavenly spirits, earthly spirits...”

Hachi snorted. ”I’m not afraid of the living, let alone a ghost.”

He raised his hand. A stream of black energy solidified into a pitch-black spear and, under the cover of night, shot toward Ye Liuyun’s heart.

Oh? A dark Power with a poisonous nature... No wonder Hachi wasn’t poisoned like Yan Long while cultivating with Poisonous Spiritual Energy. He practices a Poison Skill.
