Panic was replaced by cold clarity the instant the sound of mana fibers snapping echoed through the air like low whips.

Lohan felt the serpent’s tail cutting through the air toward them and realized that the serpent’s brute strength was too great an advantage for them to handle.

If his web couldn’t hold it from the outside, he had the idea that destroying it from the inside would be better, similar to the tactic he had used a few days ago against the wolf.

”Lisa, don’t run away from the impact, slide underneath! Now!” He shouted with conviction, surprising the fox who had also been thinking of countermeasures to deal with this snake, or at least to escape safely.

At a moment like this, feeling the confidence in Halon’s voice, Lisa decided to trust him and did as he asked.

Instead of attempting an impossible side jump in that tight space, Lisa deactivated the momentum of the dash and used the [Selective Viscosity] of the jelly that Lohan spread under her paws, making the ground slippery like ice, and she slid close to the ground, passing millimeters from the tail that exploded the rock wall just above them.

”What are you going to do?!” Lisa asked with a trembling mental voice due to the adrenaline rush.

”I’m going to use her gluttony against her. Make a move to throw me towards the belly of that thing!” He had a crazy plan.

As Lisa propelled herself with a new Dash, circling the beast at high speed to avoid the acid jet, Lohan executed an aggressive [Partial Split].

He didn’t just create a small clone, he threw 30% of his total biomass directly into the open crack in the snake’s stretched scales, where the skin was thinnest due to the expansion of the devoured prey in its stomach.

At the same time, Lohan activated the [Magic Core] to its limit.

He didn’t shoot an [Ice Spike] outwards, but rather into the biomass clone he had just launched, using that magic as a rocket propellant to launch the clone even further, ignoring the damage he caused to himself and the biomass that was shattered on impact.

But this self-inflicted damage had another purpose.

[Hemolymphatic Tissue Lv 7]

[During combat or under active damage, the conversion of absorbed matter into vital energy is accelerated by +20%.]

At the current level of this skill, when Lohan took damage, his digestion increased by an incredible 210%!

Fortunately, the launch was a success, with the piece of Slime sticking to the snake’s belly like a suction cup!

In the next second, two small, thin ice stakes grew from within that mass, piercing the stretched membrane between the monster’s scales as much as possible.

Although the ice stakes did not pierce deep enough, what remained of the clone still had the digestive power of Lohan’s main body amplified by 210%, causing the soft skin under the scales’ defense to be quickly digested, making its way through the creature’s body and finally breaking through its resistant defenses completely.

The effect was immediate and catastrophic for the snake... the pure digestive acid, under immense pressure due to the frantic digestion, began to gush out of it like a broken dam.

The snake let out an agonizing squeal, its body writhing as it lost control amid the pain it was feeling.

Without Lohan having to say anything, Lisa analyzed the situation perfectly and also contributed, using her Spiritual Fire to try to attack where the snake was most fragile.

If it were normal fire, it might have helped cauterize the wound and possibly saved the snake, but the fire of a Spirit Fox was not ordinary.

When the white flame hit the skin of the snake, which was thrashing frantically, even though it did not hit its weak spot, it still caused tremendous pain to the spirit of the desperate creature.

Lohan didn’t stop there.

He knew that the biomass drain was high, but he had the advantage of [Efficient Digestion] and [Hemolymphatic Tissue] to compensate for his expenditure.

While Lisa bombarded the open cuts with white flames, Lohan used [Magic Weaving] not to pin the snake to the wall, but to connect himself to the monster’s open wounds.

He began to drain.

Not just the snake’s Mana, he was using the threads to channel the wounded snake’s biomass directly into his own body.

This was a battle of attrition. Since the snake had more strength and level, Lohan had to compensate with a recovery rate that defied logic while weakening the snake to the maximum.

Every drop of blood and fluid he absorbed through the threads regenerated the biomass he spent to maintain continuous damage against the beast’s spasms of agony.

”It’s weakening... I can see the heat from it dropping!” Lohan said, observing through [Thermographic Perception] that the hot white glow from the snake’s stomach was turning pale blue as he stole its life energy.

The Giant Shadow Serpent, realizing that its life was being drained by a ”parasite” on its back, stretched out and then coiled its own body in a desperate attempt to crush Lisa and Lohan against itself.

But Lisa’s agility was not just for show.

After reaching Level 04, her already high agility became even greater, not only increasing her speed but also the flexibility she could exercise without injuring herself.

And with Lohan glued to her like glue, Lisa was able to move almost freely through the cave while staying close enough for the Slime to cause as much damage as possible.

Even wounded, the snake resisted for a few more minutes, only to finally collapse to the ground.

[Level Up?]

Only after seeing this screen appear did Lohan confirm the snake’s death and relax, letting go of Lisa’s back and sliding to the floor like soft, exhausted jelly.

”Yes, of course, please let me level up quickly and regain some of my strength...” He thought, just before feeling the changes brought about by the level up.
