Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

At the same time Li Chi found himself busy trying to comprehend the different lightning techniques that had been gifted to him by the different sect elders who had appeared to watch the sea of lightning that the rabbit demon beast had manifest, Xuan Hao found himself following in the steps of the other sect elders after realizing that the rabbit demon beast wasn’t in any danger and began using the opportunity to comprehend the Dao of Lightning.

Spending no more than a week to officially reach the Elementary Realm in the Dao of Lightning thanks to the profound Dao of Lightning present within the sea of lightning… And outside of himself, one of the sect elders who had shown up to observe the sea of lightning managed to directly break past his previous bottleneck in the Dao of Lightning. Reaching the requirement for the Dao Seed Realm in a single step, as Xuan Hao found himself having to isolate two people breaking through instead of just the rabbit demon beast.

Reason being that the one breaking through thanks to having a chance to witness the sea of lightning formed by the rabbit demon beast in person, had no time to find somewhere far away as he directly broke through right next to his friends cultivating alongside him-

Boom! Boom! Boom!

But this was only the beginning as several others began breaking through thanks to the opportunity that had been granted to them in the form of the rabbit demon beast’s lightning tribulation. Forcing Xuan Hao to split his attention across the ascension secret realm to isolate the now than a dozen breakthroughs taking place right next to each other. Preventing a worst-case scenario where everyone ended up killing each other with their breakthrough tribulations and uncontrollable domains that was usual for someone breaking through to a new realm.

Dealing with just the rabbit demon beast’s tribulation alongside another person breaking through was fine, but as the number of people breaking through continued to grow, Xuan Hao ultimately ended up finding himself unable to focus on comprehending the Dao of Lightning any longer, as he had to place all his focus towards ensuring that these reckless sect elders didn’t end up killing themselves.

Not only did he have to isolate the ones breaking through, but he also had to ensure that there was enough space around them so that they would be able to continue their breakthrough uninterrupted.

Normally, it wouldn’t be a problem, but with how close every observing the rabbit demon beast’s sea of lighting was, he had to construct a complex maze of barriers and formation walls to accommodate the ones breaking through while not messing with those still in the process of comprehending the Dao of Lightning from the sea of lightning.

Even worse, none of the sect elders present knew just how much effort he was putting in to ensure their safety, as they recklessly continued sitting around comprehending the Dao of Lightning in front of the sea of lightning.

Of course, it wasn’t entirely their fault, as it was clear from the conversations taking place that they merely thought everything happening was the effect of the ascension secret realm kicking in to safeguard their breakthroughs.

Informing them was an option and would certainly get them to back away and be more careful, but on second thought, Xuan Hao decided against it.

Not because he particularly enjoyed the work he was putting in, but because he understood just how immensely beneficial the current situation was to the Elders. The further they moved from the sea of lightning, the less beneficial it would be for their comprehension of the Dao of Lightning.

Although he was giving up a chance to potentially raise his comprehension of the Dao of Lightning to the Small Success Realm by doing this, he didn’t really care too much about the Dao of Lightning and knew he would always be able to further his understanding of the Dao on his own in the future.

On the other hand, the sect elders were making progress that might normally have taken them decades if not centuries to accomplish under normal circumstances. So far, the sect had already managed to acquire another Dao Seed Realm cultivator, and he sincerely hoped that another one would emerge before the rabbit demon beast finished its breakthrough to the Breaking Dawn Realm and official became a Profound Immortal Realm demon beast.

The potential reemergence of the main sect quest had disappeared for now being the main reason, as he was almost certain that it would reemerge again at some point in the future and at that point, he would likely find himself struggling with finding high end power for the sect once again… And would likely be unable to easily mend the gap by recruiting wandering cultivators from outside the sect. After all, finding a wandering cultivator at the Soul Ascension Realm might be simple enough, but anything beyond that becomes close to impossible and would almost certainly have to be nurtured by the sect when the time came…

RUUUUMBLE-!

As he was somewhat lost in his own thoughts thinking about the future while ensuring that none of the sect elders present alongside his newest disciple ended up encountering any danger, the sea of lightning that had been churning violently for over three weeks at this point began to rapidly retract towards the center where the rabbit demon beast was located.

Looking closely, one could barely see the small figure of the rabbit demon beast rapidly swallowing the entire sea of lightning, causing crackling lightning to flow across its fur as its strength rose another notch.

By the time that the entire sea of lightning had been swallowed, the increase in strength of the rabbit demon beast also stopped, as Xuan Hao could finally see the current realm of the rabbit demon beast. Peak of the Early Stage of the Breaking Dawn Realm.

Although it hadn’t managed to go beyond the Early Stage of the Breaking Dawn Realm during its breakthrough into the first stage of the Profound Immortal Realm, it was only a single step away from reaching the Middle Stage of the Profound Immortal Realm.

Not to mention, though it had just broken through, its foundation was already stable to the point where one couldn’t distinguish if it had truly just broken through or was someone who had already spent decades at its current cultivation realm, something Xuan Hao attributed to be thanks to the rabbit demon beast making full use of the lightning tribulation to not just strengthen itself, but also stabilize its foundation.

If not for this, though it might have reached the Middle Stage of the Breaking Dawn Realm, its cultivation realm might have been so unstable that it needed to enter a state of hibernation to stabilize its foundation. A process unique to demon beasts that could last anywhere from a few years to thousands of years depending on the instability that the demon beast faced after a successful breakthrough.

Everything is over, but… Those people will likely remain here for the next few months comprehending the remnants left behind from the little rabbit’s breakthrough…

Silently gazing out across the devastation that had been left behind by the rabbit demon beast’s breakthrough to the Profound Immortal Realm, Xuan Hao sighed a bit exhausted to himself as he thought about watching over the group of over eager sect elders wanting to comprehend the Dao of Lightning through these remnants left behind.

However, these thoughts did not last for long, as he had absolutely no intention of babysitting the sect elders for that long.

Helping them when the lightning tribulation was still present was one thing, but doing so now that it had already disappeared and what was left was of limited use was different.

”Everyone, I won’t be watching over your breakthroughs any longer, so try and be less reckless without me around. For those in the process of breaking through, I left a formation in place to isolate you during your breakthrough, it should disperse naturally after your tribulation comes to an end.”

With that in mind, he quickly informed the still eager sect elders about the situation before grabbing Li Chi to leave the ascension secret realm.

If someone still decided to try and breakthrough so close to others even with his warning, they could only blame themselves...

Booom-!

And as if to demonstrate this, one elder did just happen to breakthrough after he left-

”Aaah!? What are you doing!?”

”Didn’t you hear what Elder Xuan said!?”

”Noo! The remnant dao mark from the lightning sea that I was studying was destroyed!”

”S-sorry… I couldn’t hold back!”

Along with it, countless complaints rose as a dozen or so sect elders were forced to retreat. Only able to watch as part of the remnants that had been left behind by the sea of lightning was destroyed by this new tribulation that happened to be someone breaking through from the First Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm to the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm that had been unable to stop his breakthrough. Having already partly started the tribulation by the time Xuan Hao called out and had been too late to stop it…
