Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Knowing just what kind of chaos this kind of tribulation could cause if it was allowed to fall in the middle of the Iron Sky Kingdom’s capital city, Xuan Hao didn’t waste any time on meaningless words as he directly waved his sleeve and grabbed both the rabbit demon beast in the process of breaking through to the Profound Immortal Realm and his newest disciples before shattering space and rapidly rushing back towards the Shattered Star Peaks.

”Huh!? Wha-!?”

Kyuun!?

The two involved had no time to even realize what was happening as both of them soon enough found themselves hovering in the air in front of the Ninth Star Peak with the thunder tribulation brewing above having followed them from the Iron Sky Kingdom to the Shattered Star Peaks in the split second it had taken them to move between the two locations, something that personally left Xuan Hao awed over the abilities of a tribulation when it came to targeting someone.

Even though he had moved at a speed that was far beyond anything possible by someone who was just breaking through to the Profound Immortal Realm, the tribulation was seemingly omnipresent and had appeared the second he arrived at the Shattered Star Peaks. Almost like it had been waiting for the rabbit demon beast to show up.

In fact, even before he had left the void he had to travel through to teleport back to the Shattered Star Peaks, he had felt the tribulation following him or rather the rabbit demon beast. Truly, escaping a tribulation was impossible with his current cultivation realm, let alone helping the rabbit demon beast escape its tribulation.

Luckily, his goal wasn’t to help the rabbit demon beast avoid its tribulation, but instead to throw it somewhere more suitable for it to undergo its tribulation without affecting the Star Shattering Sect negatively in the process.

In the end, the only location he could think of was the ascension secret realm that now existed as part of the ascension realm tower.

Given that the secret realm could even endure his breakthrough from the Sea Formation Realm to the Land Creation Realm, there wasn’t the slightest doubt in his mind that the ascension secret realm would be able to survive the breakthrough of a Dao Seed Realm demon beast to the Profound Immortal Realm or Breaking Dawn Realm.

Whoosh~!

And so, without wasting a second upon his emergence as he knew full well that he was running out of time with the tribulation already showing signs of descending from above to strike the rabbit demon beast that he was still carrying on him, Xuan Hao rushed to the Seventh Star Peak before entering the ascension secret realm through the entrance located inside the ascension realm tower-

Swish-!

Kyuuuun-!

RUUUUMBLE-!

BAAAAAANG!

Throwing the little rabbit demon beast deep inside the secret realm just as the first lightning bolt descended from above and struck the flying rabbit demon beast. Smashing it directly into the ground in the process before it had the time to fly far enough away from the entrance to the ascension secret realm. Forcing Xuan Hao to step forward and use his own power to shield the other cultivators of the sect alongside Li Chi from the fallout of the lightning tribulation, as there was no way the few Soul Ascension Realm or weaker sect elders within the ascension secret realm would be capable of withstanding a fraction of the power within the tribulation that had descended upon the rabbit demon beast.

Not to mention, most of the sect elders within the ascension secret realm were busy with their own breakthroughs and simply wouldn’t have the strength to spare defending themselves against what was essentially a sudden attack comparable to the full power attack of someone at the Peak of the Dao Seed Realm.

As for the rabbit demon beast who had ended up suffering the full tribulation head on after finding itself being thrown away by its master? It took the entire situation far better than one might have expected it to, as it managed to survive with little to no damage outside of being knocked to the ground. Making full use of the lightning that soon enough began descending like a lightning waterfall cascading down from above to refine its body. Pushing its physical body far beyond what it had been before.

To a demon beast, though it could break through to the Profound Immortal Realm with little to no difficulty compared to what a normal cultivator had to go through to reach the Profound Immortal Realm, it did come with a clear detriment that was their far weaker strength after reaching the Profound Immortal Realm.

A detriment that would be forcefully corrected by the lightning tribulation that was now helping elevate the strength of the rabbit demon beast far above what it had been just after breaking through to the Profound Immortal Realm.

Of course, this kind of rapid improvement and physical refinement through lightning was far from safe, as this kind of promotion was far deadlier than a normal cultivator’s breakthrough to the Profound Immortal Realm.

Not that Xuan Hao or anyone else within the ascension secret realm knew about any of this, as everyone within the ascension secret realm slowly stopped what they were doing unless they were in the process of undergoing a tribulation of their own and instead turned their attention to watch the sea of lightning that had now condensed around the rabbit demon beast.

Making full use of this opportunity to watch and learn from the lightning tribulation, something that was especially useful for those walking the path of the Dao of Thunder.

However, the breakthrough that everyone had expected to come to an end quickly began dragging on from a few hours to a few days before finally reaching two full weeks of constant lightning cascading down. Everyone observing from afar couldn’t help feeling worried about the rabbit demon beast at the center of the sea of lightning.

The only one who didn’t show any signs of worry being Xuan Hao, whose divine sense was strong enough to forcibly penetrate the sea of lightning and observe the scene playing out at the core of the sea of lightning where the rabbit demon beast was located.

Deadly as the entire situation looked on the surface, the most dangerous part of the tribulation had already passed, as the rabbit demon beast had already refined its strength to the point where the lightning tribulation no longer posed any real threat to it. Instead, the rabbit demon beast was currently making full use of the lightning tribulation to continue further refining its physical body. Having already reached a level that had surpassed that of someone at the Early Stage of the Break Dawn Realm.

On the side, Li Chi had originally been excited watching the breakthrough of the rabbit demon beast, but after the first few days, he had become rather bored watching the sea of lightning. Not because there was nothing to learn from observing the terrifying sea of lightning formed from the rabbit demon beast’s tribulation, but instead because his cultivation realm was far too low for him to grasp anything useful from the sea of lightning.

Even if he wanted to further his comprehension of the Dao of Lightning through observing the sea of lightning like the sect elders who had started flocking to the ascension secret realm were doing, it wasn’t exactly simple to grasp the Dao of Lightning with the strength of someone at the Core Formation Realm.

To start even getting into comprehending the Dao, one generally needed to have reached the later stages of the Nascent Soul Realm, something that Li Chi was still far off.

Even then, he didn’t complain about the current situation that he had ended up finding himself in, as Xuan Hao made sure to take the time to teach him every so often, so he had something to do while waiting for the rabbit demon beast to finish its breakthrough to the Profound Immortal Realm.

Not to mention, with the commotion of the rabbit demon beast’s breakthrough attracting elders from all across the sect proficient in the Dao of Lightning or with hopes of grasping the Dao of Lightning in the future, he also got the opportunity to learn a few unique lightning based combat techniques from the overeager elders who were more than happy to teach him their techniques after learning whose disciple he was.

From someone who had absolutely no knowledge of the Dao of Lightning or any other kind of lightning techniques, Li Chi found himself becoming one of the most learnt disciples within the Core Formation Realm when it came to lightning techniques and the Dao of Lightning. Making him start seriously considering whether the future Dao he would focus on when breaking through should be the Dao of Lightning.

Not just because of what he learnt from his seniors, but also because he found himself more easily learning lightning-based techniques. Giving him the feeling that he might have a affinity for the Dao of Lightning.
